Yeah, but still you don't want to let a sloth get its claws into you. As sweet and peaceful as they appear, they will defend themselves. Granted, I think a lot of people look at the slow-moving sloth and wonder how the heck they ever survived natural selection. But here they are. They must know something. And charming as they are, I doubt they've gotten by just on their looks.

Say what you want about its flimsy muscles, but most people nowadays (me included) would struggle to climb up a tree ten times our size, even with the proper gear.
Yes but it weights less and it's made to live that way. It's the same case as if a bear would be amazed at how long a regular human can stand on two feet.

their fingers are about as precise as our's though, it's what humans manage to do with them that sets us apart
Also, volume increases faster than surface area so it would be easier to do if you were that small, like how it's impossible for us to fly like a bird or insect even if we had the same wing size comparative to our body

Apparently it's because they're so unbelievably pathetic that they simply aren't worth eating.
Which is interesting, because back in the last ice age there used to be a Sloth - Megatherium, that was an elephant sized badass. I guess being huge also made it a prime target for ancient humans.
