I really love that Suzie is honest with what she doesn't like and her flaws. Most nail artists don't show you the mistakes but Suzie is a true teacher but also a student and she is learning with us
Sabaktes Yep, you're right.
Yeah and Cristine from Simply Nailogical, too. They show us the mistakes they’ve made so we don’t make the mistakes they did and show us how everyone is not perfect. They both encourage me to do nails. Just subbed to Suzie today, already love her a lot though. ❤️
so true...she shows me what the meaning of "patience" really is!

I love the conversations between you and your cameraman. ☺️ Makes your videos so personal. ❤️
T4v33b lol the cameraman is awesome
They’re married 💕
NO WAY!!! I TOTALLY SHIP THEM!
Haley Tavarez whaaat I always thought they should get together haha!
Cameraman is her husband 😍😍
When she tosses the brush!
"I don't like you!"
Lol
that is so funny ...lol!!
She is so funny
I love that Suzie includes her mistakes. A true teacher never stops learning.
Random but Suzie always has great background music lol i love it. I love the nails btw
Plus your voice is sooo soothing.
But where's the lie?
Jaii DiOR haha. I JUST made the same comment, not even realizing 😁. Great minds 😉
NovaLaMason what lie?? Nothing written above implies a lie..
Jaii DiOR II
Can't wait to see Jenna recreate these nails 😁
So true lol 😂
My exact thought! 😂
Omg it would be hilarious! I ship "drunk marbles does suzies sweaters" alllll day, THAT would be hilarious 😂
Melissa Zapenas but on her toe nails, not hee finger nails 😂🙈
Can we PLEASE make this happen??
don’t take this as any kind of offense but your videos help me so much to fall asleep! I have really bad insomnia and your voice always just puts me to sleep and I love to watch how you do the nails. thank you !
+Lily Beth i couldnt be more flattered honestly 💜
lana’s cherry I watch for learning but also if I want to relax at bed time. I plan to do my nails before my backyard bbq in mid July so I do learn. But I'm also relaxing and listening to her calming voice.
I feel the same way her voice is so soothing and the vibes are so chill it's just relaxing
Same I'm literally watching her trying to get sleepy now lol
I agree! It's a bit on the ASMR side! Very cool!
I'm a fervent knitter and as someone who makes these malevolent little things, you did a fab job! Cables are not easy to knit so it's amusing to see that they aren't easy to translate into nail art either. Well done!
for someone that never does their nails, i sure do watch a lot of nail videos lol
ashley m I attempt, but fail badly
Omgoodness me too!!! I just love her designs and she does a wonderful job at not ruining the nail bed.
Same here! I bite my nails so there’s no point but I love her videos haha
Same, I'm 25 and I've never gotten my nails done
ashley m same!
Susie.. You are WAYYY too hard on yourself! The first nail you did was still gorgeous! You are such a Perfectionist lol. I think the imperfections in that first nail were beautiful!
Ronnie Welch I am too when doing my nails or any of my clients. I've wiped a design off probably 10 times before I got it the way I wanted lol. Clients always say they look beautiful and to me I just want it to be perfect!!!
I agree. I'm sure it gets stressful knowing millions of people are watching, though. Especially as an artist, teacher and entrepreneur. I'm sure she wants to maintain a standard of excellence.
agreed, she did an amazing job
me too, especially if I didnt like it,I'll wipe it off even though clients love it and says its beautiful.sometimes its a problem when you are a perfectionist..I love all of her videos..
I mean she is an artist lol. Most artists are really hard on themselves
I arrived a skeptic and left impressed.
I've never had acrylic nails in my life, but I'm obsessed with your videos. I find them so interesting and relaxing. I love the detail and dimension of these. Super cute xx
i want these so bad oh my goodness
Nightskyjuju same I love these so much
I love how even thought she’s been doing this for 30+ years she still takes so much pride in what she produces.
Suzie, whenever I'm having a bad or stressful day, going to your videos always reminds me to take it nice and slow. You and your videos help me reset my pace and reminds me that not everything needs to be done so fast. You and your channel is a gem!
these are gorgeous, but I also want to say that I so appreciate how you let us see your own learning process too! it's so refreshing to see the candor with which you approach your own work. I love it.
+h .chen no one is perfect - right
As a knitter, I love these nails. As a knitter, I could never wear these nails!
Lol I wear long nails n crochet and have starting learning knit as well.
Heather McC I knit, crochet and sew (hand piecing and machine) and my nails are currently a little longer and square. I’ve never found them to get in my way but I have worn them in differing shapes for a long time so I suppose I just adapt. Give it a go, maybe start with a shorter length and see how it feels as an experiment. It knit continental style and find the pointer finger nail on my right hand comes in useful for scootching just knitted stitches up the needle and that increases my speed!
I also knit continental... I may have to give it a shot sometime!
hahahahaha. truth!
I find it easier now as I use them as a tools lol!
miss suzie i think youre so talented and i could never pull this off. even the first one you did looks amazing compared to what i can do.
Nightskyjuju practice makes perfect :) x
Very creative 💙
Maybe I'll try it eventually, but right now I'll stick with the basics. She's always on point 💙
I love it! 💕
I think this is the first time I've ever seen your nails the same on both hands
When you can’t relate because it’s summer for Christmas here 😂 I will try these in 6 months 👍😂
Same!
where are you from? :-)
wantai Most likely, they're from Australia. (But other countries in the Southern Hemisphere have "flipped" seasons to us in the Northern Hemisphere.)
Yep and today in Sydney is hot as shit but thurs is going to be horrid
wantai New Zealand ☺️
love that I found your channel!! You are so talented. I was obsessed with doing my own nails and got away from it and you are helping me go back to an old love!! Xoxo

Jasmond Smith PP lo! Ok última edición un Jul un día un. La app la app App al 4rrRtghbza
We all know damn well if we even try to recreate what Susie does it won’t come out perfect
Cupcakecream321 ROBLOX Yeah...
+Cupcakecream321 ROBLOX even mine didnt -
Mine won’t even come out decent. Mine will be a long glob with some fucked squiggles😂
Susie is a professional, who has years of experience. So why should anyone think they could get the same professional finish with no experience-
It just needs experience.. I used to paint all over my nails into my cuticles, now i can make really nice nail arts.. But i cant wait to try this design on my nails.. unfortunately i broke my nails 😣
Suzie radiates such good grandma vibes
I watch your videos before sleap.
Makes me feel so calm and I wake up feeling like I learned something more
You’re grate!
Who else wants to see her put that long tip on and do one of her brilliant designs on it?That would make a great video.
I love your videos, I’m watching from England.
I find your videos so relaxing 😊😊💕💕
waiting for the collab with jenna, cristine, and suzi
Noelle Garcia Cristine would use nail vinyls I'm sure..that's what I though was going to go on..not hand painted but I should have known, it's Suzie!
Can it be like 2 hours long because I’d be LIVING for that shit
Me too! Plus Cristine lives in Canada too...
Suzie is too classy for them lmao
Cristine would Just try and make them use their natural nails and not acrylics
Suzie, you need to be as encouraging to yourself as you are to us! We all are always learning. I'm a cosmetologist and just used some new products for the first time. It didn't come out the best because I was learning about those products that were a lot a bit different from what I'm used to. Don't worry about being perfect. I mean, we always want to do the best we can and if we make a mistake it's ok because a lesson comes out of it. Professional is not synonymous with perfect, we're only human. That's how our art gets it's character anyway! 🤗
SHE'S. A. TOTAL. QUEEN. I swear she's that type of person you want in your life .
I’ve never heard someone refer to Winter as crispy. Loved the nails and can’t wait until the next video!
Cade Struthers i usually think of fall as crispy
A perfect break from studying 😊💖
Suzie you are so humble! I love watching your videos. Thanks for being so honest and transparent. A joy to watch
I love her so much! I love that she is so positive, and even when she didn’t do a good job, she still kept going and didn’t give up! She looks so kind, and would kill to have her do my nails🙏✨
This is an AMAZING video. Not everything goes according to plan and sometimes you don't like the end product. But you learn from it and try to improve the next time. Agh. You're an amazing teacher Suzie!
Suzie I've watched wayyy to many of your videos even before I went to get my nails done for the first time, so because of this when I did go get my nails done for the first time I was really dissatisfied because they looked nothing like what you did and they used the e file to buff my natural nail plate down, also they have no arch to them they're just flat and they both salons I've been to have given me square when I asked for coffin but again because I have watched so many of your videos I was able to file them down into a coffin myself and it worked 😂😂 so thank you. Alsoooooo your nails are always so beautiful and your videos are very relaxing to watch i ove them sm
Her laugh is contagious af! I love it. She is so humble.
Whenever I feel depressed I emran to suzzie's videos...her voice is so relaxing;she sounds like a counsellor,I loooove her personality too,I wish to be like her...Thanks for making feel better on my bad days, much love from Kenya!!
Ahaha, what perfect timing! I was in the middle of an NCE binge :D
+wodnyrak hahahaha/ excellent timing
I really liked this nail tutorial.
1. Because blue is my favourite colour
2. It was pretty
I also really like your videos, that’s why I subscribed because they inspired me. Keep up what your doing.
+It's Ya Girl Karissma awe thank you 💜
It's Ya Girl Karissma
I JUST CAME ACROSS YOUR CHANNEL AND I'M STILL AWAKE AT 3:00 AM WATCHING VIDEO AFTER VIDEO!!! I LOVE THESE SWEATER NAILS!!!
Thank you for being REAL. It’s nice to see a fellow artist having a “moment”, re-doing the oops and trying a different technique. Very supportive camera-guy too 😂
VA nail tech: what design you want
Me: *shows nail tech a screenshot from this video*
VA nail tech: ok, that’ll be $358.99
Me: *looks at finished design* ummm this looks nothing like the pic.
Right!!
Nothing like the pic ain't paying!!
Haha!!
Jaii DiOR wwhhaatt the hell salon you went to with a price tag that big !?!?! I live in NYC n the highest price I have paid at a high end salon was 95$ with a hand treatment
Timothy Healy she's gotta just be joking cuz yeah def not possible.. plus who would pay that?! Lol
Jaii DiOR should have shown them the video😂😂
Are you serious? That's insane if you're being legit
Will we ever going to see the camera man get his nails done just for a video!? 👀 I have gotten so used to him having conversations about how he likes something when you are unsure about it, that I def think it would be a good idea for him to get his nails done for us. Yaaaas?
Makeupbybeckyxo yes
Yes!
I hope we'll never see him coz it just makes the video much more mysterious in a way..
That disembodied voice.... That macho manly disembodied voice..
LoserlyCool lol do you have the hots for camera man?
pure imagination yes
Her voice is so soothing! I love her!
I love that you keep in the learning process. Makes it so relatable. Nobody’s perfect. You’re amazing Suzie
To do the chain cable you keep having problems with, you want to keep the second pass of the cable from actually touching your initial elongated “s”. A cable of that type is knitted by passing one set of the stitches under the other. When you let the lines touch, you lose the depth the makes the cable look like it twists. Looking at charted cable knitting patterns may help since they have more contrast than the actual knitted items?
+Anna Breon YUP! Good tip😀💜
I think the self levelling quality of gel as well might be a negative, maybe flash cure every 3 passes of gel application, might give a more raised appearance like cable or aran jumpers.
That's what I was thinking. Also: maybe do the "S" row and sprinkle and nuke before you do the second pass?
Yes! I was thinking about a cable pattern but couldn’t put words to why hers weren’t looking right
Love you !! Very elegant , pretty nails ❤️❤️❤️
I love that you learn right along with all of us! You are very honest in your mistakes and show everyone that even a pro still has things to learn.
Thanks for the tip! I have been trying to find out how to make my manicure matte.
15:01 Time stamping this because I love that laugh. It's amazing. Your nails are always so good help.
9:36 is what I want to do to people who annoy me 😂😂❤❤ love you Suzie
suzie may be the most patient person i've ever seen...seeing her riled up a little bit was refreshing haha! even though she hated those nails.
Love that you add the mistakes to your video! Thank you for making all of us feel better for not always doing a perfect job! You Rock!
wow susie! these nails are super creative and pretty!
Out of all the sweater nails I've seen.. These are the most beautiful fantastic I've seen!
I could literally sit and watch Suzie for hours and I'm not even a nail tech. You have such a calm fun tone and watching you work is so fascinating
It's always great to see that even professionals aren't always happy with their work and they make mistakes too. Many tutorials or demonstrations only show the perfect results, which is why it's refreshing to see Suzie learning as she goes.
these look so beautiful
I dont do nails or wear them, but I love watching your videos! ☺️☺️
Who else thought her nails were going to be fuzzy like a sweater until they watched the video lol.
On another note, I love these nails!
Ms. Suzie is so awesome. So encouraging to see someone still so passionate after 30 years. She comes across as a very sweet and genuine person. I think I’m adopting her as my “auntie” in my head. 💜🤗
+BeeKnocks awww the sweetest- 💜
Favorite yet! Keep up the great work! :)
Saw these on your livestream with grant. Absolutely stunning.
Suzie is the most comforting person on CZcams.
I usually dont watch any nail tutorials - either they are boring to me, or not appealing, or i dont like the voice of the designer or else. You truly are the first who makes a totally awesome impression, I'd come to you anytime, I like the music and I LOVE your nail art ideas! Simply amazing
Love you so much! You’ve helped my nail tech skills grow!!❤️❤️ Recently licensed in Nova Scotia, Canada!
+Taylor Allen thats great Taylor - Congrats!
Nail Career Education ahhhh thank you so much!!
Taylor Allen which course did you take! I'm from Nova Scotia as well!
Taylor Allen congrats!!!! I am in the Valley in NS, Canada. Have been a nail tech for 1.5 years so far ❤
Quixxovel I took it at my local NSCC college! I’m in an Esthetics course as well & it was included at the time! I graduate in May!!
I love how she just tosses the first brush
luv that ur so honest suzie u say it how it is .N ur amazing at any nail style u do
Suzie, I’m so like that. When I don’t like a design, I’ll start over. They came out great. I would love you as my nail tech. You love what you do and don’t take things too seriously.
I have to make those like now so
Cozying
I love how all the comments are really positive and i love how miss Susie cracks herself up her laugh is unique
I love all these nails you do. So awesome. Itd be so fun to just be able to do whatever you wanted on your nails every week, like whatever shape, size, color, design, anything!
SOO AMAZING
NoThisIsPatrick is this krusty krab ?
Could you please review the cornstarch nail technique that everyone on CZcams is trying. I would like to know the pros, the cons, how long they last, and if it is a really good substitute for the acrylic dip powder.
Rhoda thats horrible. Id rather just not do my nails. Its super cringey to me. Most pros are going to say something similar.
Rhoda I believe it's not even close to the acrylic dip powder. Pro is the cost and you can diy. Cons if not sealed can lump and degrade in water. No strength. Won't last long. Ment as a temporary thing not a long term all the time thing. Who knows the effect of the corn starch with the polish and how it'll react in a few days time and so on. Too many unknowns for me. Hope this helped a bit.b
Rhoda would be interested in Suzi testing out a bunch of diy alternatives that are out there to see which are a big no and which are passable, for a quick fix or you need something done and can't fit in or get into a salon.
i tried it and it made my nails super bumpy and a weird texture, no matter how hard i filed. also one of them popped off the day after with a bit of pressure and the rest followed less a week later :/
Doug Schoon has made a great post about it on his Facebook. I wouldn't do it lol
Suzie what can't you do, you are AMAZING! I'm not even into nails besides a basic manicure, but I still watch you. You are an artist, the Bob Ross of nails!!! Good music too
i've only just recently discovered this channel but i already prefer it over simply nailogical
i just really love and appreciate the mature, calm vibe that Suzie gives off in her videos.
Suzie: “I didn’t do a very good job”
Me trying to work with gel at all: nail art Leonardo Da Vinci is telling me there’s bad painting days
When I finally come out the closet, I want you to do my acrylic nails
Petty Frog have u yet?
I think you just did
Don’t just come out of the closet, you come out screaming from the rafters telling the world how fabulous you are! ❤️❤️
Suzie, your voice is so soothing! I don't wear any kind of artificial nails - I prefer powder dip for clinical rotations and regular polish for nail art during school breaks - but I enjoy your tutorials, and when I'm having trouble sleeping, I pick a long video and lay my phone nearby and I'm asleep in no time!
I learn something new with you every time. This video may be old but I've only just taken an interest in some different patterns and styles. Thank you!!!!
Susie you're like the NikkieTutorials of nails, your art is so clean, precise, and perfect :D
*soozie... **_gurl_*
You truly are the Bob Ross of nails ❤️
I love hearing her voice right before i sleep. It is pure asmr.
Hi suzie!!! I was wondering if you could maybe talk a little about your opinion on the current “cornstarch instead of acrylic nails” trend ??? Apparently people are using cornstarch and clear nail polish instead of actual acrylic, seems interesting!!!
Maddie Welsh The Nail Hub podcast did a scathing commentary on this. I have to second that everything about it sounds like an invitation to disaster.
Is the acrylic to make it look fuzzy? Could I attempt this by drawing with the gel, curing, and then a matte top coat or would that flatten it out?
I think it would flatten, happend to me when I put a topcoat over a raised glitter design
Golden Carter what if you put the matte topecoat over your base, then do the design, and then the matte topcoat only over the design, so tracing over the design itself instead of topcoating the entire thing?
Merel Skip that might work. I just need to get the nerve to do it.
Was wondering the same thing.
Youre so kind and patient! Thank you for making these im self taught and currently starting to make press ons! I love these videos
Aahh it's such a comfort to see Master Suzie get impatient with herself when learning new techniques. I'm hard on myself but now I'm thinking it's not such a bad thing! Maybe this is how we can reach Suzie Level! Lovelovelove your work and personality! And these nails turned out awesome Xx
Where did you get that lamp from? It's so cute!!
+ReshiK vanity planet -
I thought the vanity planet one was black?
I've noticed Suzie has a pink one too. I went to the Vanity Planet website and only saw the black one. 😞
Does it matter what brand of acrylic powder you use? And does the powder have an expire date? I have powder from when I took the course 14 years ago but since I just do gels now, I haven't touched my acrylic in years!😯. Maybe not 14.... but close 😀
Ella Cinder Don't think dry stuff expires. Maybe you'd have trouble with the monomer. But you don't need it for this
I kno this was an eternity ago but I think the powder does expire. On the back there's a very tiny picture of a jar with a time stamp 9 months...18 months etc.... I used some very old colored acrylic and they popped off my friend like press ons 🤦🏽♀️😂
*Dated from opening
I just have to say that watching you has been therapy for me. I broke my arm, the humerous, a year ago and had to have a rod inserted. It has been slow healing and incredibly painful. Then I came across your tutorials, and as a self taught nail artist, I gave it up for a couple of years, I decided to try it again. You've given me the confidence to try the new nail designs and it helps with therapy. My motor skills have improved and the real healing has begun. Thank you for showing me how to be easier with myself and have fun learning the new and remembering the old.
I watch all of your videos. You’re so knowledgeable and and easy to watch. 💜 I just love you and your “camera man”. Y’all always make me smile.
Suzie should do the camera mans nails.
camo nails???
I just love watching you Suzi! I've learned so much about this crazy hobby! U still have a lot to learn. Keep the videos coming!
She is so humble and down to earth i love her
Okay I'm actually so early 19 seconds omg..... Not like it matters
lizzie cute. ☺️
lizzie
SUZIE!!! Please try the new corn starch nails that are all over facebook- i need to know if they are suzie approved
Cami Raquel I just googled that because it is news to me.
And OH DEAR GOD.
Why would anyone do this to themselves?!
Hello I would like my nails to fall off
Oh look one of them is moldy
Hooray
I've sen these dug out of Gel polish with acrylic over then nuked.. but never hand painted..my gosh all the talent!!! 😍😍😍
Love your honesty. Never stop. I smile and laugh, and cant stop watching. Never had my nails done. (only painted) im amazed with your talent!! Keep it up!!
I would have put a real zip on the middle finger 😂
