- Few gyms around the world carry the notoriety of Arlington’s Metroflex in Texas, home to eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman and a number of other top pros. Its unique hardcore appeal, the antithesis of today’s air-conditioned gym factories, was on Big Ron Partlow’s bucket list, so MUTANT on a Mission paid respects to this landmark iron hub. Owner Brian Dobson shares its 32-year history before Big Ron joins locals Zach Wilson and J. Warren for a drenching, midsummer back workout in which Ron lost 3 poundsof sweat. But what’s most memorable was what he lost after his training session! Warning: Not for the faint of heart!
This gym looks likes it's been through the same battles and wars as it's members have since 1987! Wow. Mirrors are broken, ceiling fans have no blades, etc. Truly hardcore! 😅 Thank you for taking us inside Big Ron/Mutant. 💪 Please keep this series going. I have watched every episode of Mutant on a Mission. Love this series! ✌️👌

I weighed 130 lbs when I first walked through the doors of the gym and gave my $25 check to Brian. 25lb dumbbells press and 10 lb curls... Awesome memories. I always called it a Rocky Gym.

Listen this gym is a complete legend. Brian is a legend. Yes its a shithole, yes its a prison style gym - but hey its Ronnies gym so its good enough for the rest of us. They should do a complete modern gym right next to it and still keep the original open
