HEY YOU ABOUT TO POST SOMETHING STUPID:
Yes, I know my hands are large/fat. It's because of a heart condition I suffer from called Congestive Heart Failure. Here's a link to some information about CHF: cle.clinic/2TdS2Ux
One of the symptoms is that is causes fluid retention, mostly in the hands, feet/ankles, and face.
It will kill me one day. I'm doing ok right now, but someday...

That's a very versatile piece of gear, the interface is so obvious and intuitive it sort of makes everything easy to navigate and use. Hardware looks great, and seems very responsive. I still have to scratch my head regarding where is the dooflicky option on my digital scope, and I've been using it for years. This Micsig is so transparent it almost teaches you. Good review Paul, thanks..

Thank you for the review. I have a Micsig MS210T 100MHz handheld scope. It has been very reliable and serves me well for field use. I am currently considering the model in the video vs. a couple of others for my home bench. I'll be watching for your future videos using this scope. Thumbs up as always.

    Awsome piece of kit.
Dreams are made of real big boy toys like this; the sort of thing the rich kid would have in his den but never use and only keep it to make you jealous.
From your description its worth every penny and I would love to have one but its way outside my budget.
    Thanks for sharing this review.

The "LIN" license entry is a serial decode option for LIN networks. Similar to UART above it. Think of LIN like a simpler version of CAN.

Hi I'm new to electronic and no idea about scope but just bought (micsig to1104) i wonder why no see any videos about using scope to check and repair problems or defects device, but only showing waves and features of the scope itself?

  • @xConundrumx
    @xConundrumx Před 4 lety

All the nice features aside ... the ground on the inputs is isolated which means you should be able to even trace signals that are not referenced to mains earth (which you can't do with most desktop scopes).

    Hi Paul,
thanks alot for this video. I enjoyed it. It was quite intuitive for me. I think it is a very good hobyists Oscilloscope.
I consider to get one of these oscilloscopes myself. Ptease tell me, if you know, if the 1 GSamples are one GSample oer channel (4 x 1 GSamples) or if the 4 channels share these 1 Gsamples.
I welcome any serious Answer from the rest of the community too.
    Thanks

Lan stands for large area network and I believe wlan stands for web enabled large area network. I could be wrong on that.? And btw I have been looking into buying an oscilloscope for myself and there is no end. It goes from dso to fft to mdo to high ghz processing and the lists go on and on.

Siglent oscilloscopes are the Best in the market for performance to price. They have 200 to 500 USD scopes that will out do everything else in that price range and above. I have been using them for years.

That would have been great when I was teaching. Hdmi out to the projector and boom, the whole lecture hall can see what I'm talking about. We used a CCTV camera pointed at the screen of a dos. It worked, yes. But it was very kludgey.

All you guys, it is a very nice bit of kit. I temporily forgot the name of the comparable Tektronics kit that has a lower noise factor and wider pass band , BUT costs, some £2,500 against just a bit over £500 😂.
It is in fact a 4 ch DSO, a spectrum analyser, and a data logger. I have 35 civillian service to UK MOD RAF as a systems specialist. So I am saying you simply cant get a better bit of kit that gives HP & TEK kit a good run fot its money. Last 23 yeasr in UK Met Office and I have recently discovered som very interesting corelations affecting some people due to airflow over topographical features. I have made myself a set of electrometer preamps for high Z measurement ans super low noise preamps for other reasons. So now in there with the big boys for just 20% of the cost

I love all the bells and whistles on this one, but I still wont spend my money on it. These Chinese imports, they get you with all the bells and whistles but end up with something that wont last past 2 years. I work in a circuit board assembly plant and I seem to go through Owon scopes and the like about every 12 months. My last Owon developed a problem on Ch1. It wont read a signal when set to 5 volts amplitude. Every other setting works ! I had to trash that one.

This would be God send with guide on how to do what and be protected and easily accessible while also looking like something a wife would allow in her home. :-)
