- It’s time for a pre-cruise adventure as we spend 2 nights in Southampton prior to embarking P&O Aurora. You’ve been asking for me to show you so of what we get up to in Southampton pre-cruise, and who am I to deny you this? Here’s our time at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in a junior suite, use of its facilities, our Patron meet-up, some of Southampton’s highlights, our favourite restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the mad but wonderful Dark Arts and Potion Bar, Ocean Village, Oxford Street and a good look at the location and accessibility of these venues in relation to the cruise terminals plus vantage points to wave off your loved ones on their cruises. I call Southampton my home (by choice not birth) and think it is *such* an underrated city. Thanks for shining a spotlight on some great choices, though as you say it's just scratching the surface, there's also our lovely central parks, southampton common, bedford place, the cultural quarter with galleries and theatres, cafes, multicultural cuisine and breweries, craft beer, and plenty of vibrant suburbs with their own identities. And it is a city that is constantly becoming more visitor friendly, walkable and attractive

Nice to see you showing everyone what Southampton has to offer, we have friends there that we visit & I’m intrigued by a couple of places you showed! But you’ve got to love the Dancing Man Brewery, it’s a great place😁👍 also worth a mention is the Platform Tavern just down the road towards the cruise terminals nr Queens Park!

Well I never knew anything about Southampton, looks a great place to stop pre cruise. Some of that food looked amazing.

That last bar looks fascinating, more for the ‘younger’ element than the likes of me though. The cocktails looked fabulous as did the food in the South Indian restaurant. Hope you are enjoying your cruise.

Aww how did I not see you. Our boat is berthed on town quay marina ( next to starbucks) you could have popped on board for a pre cruise coffee😄

Been watching your vlogs about Iona, very good videos. Slightly odd question, where do you get the ice from? Does it come with the room? First time cruiser here going on a cruise to the fjords. Keep up the good work best cruise vlogs I've seen!
