The OCD in my brain says this isn't natural. Couldn't you have one gear actually move and the other be affected by its movement like physics? When modeling machines it helps to see things working as they're designed and I know this is just an animation not a simulation but I wish there was an easier way to physically simulate movement and force.
Complete agree yes, but then you have to bake the physics and then you are not going to have a fun time. You would want to use constraints for something like this. I will make a video on this aswell as people are asking for it.
