I dont belong to Ghana or Nigeria and from a neutral standpoint the referee was absolutely shocking he gave every incident to Nigeria even minor ones. This was shocking and bad refereeing at its best. The penalty should have never been given especially the fact that he ruled it out to begin with.
In terms of play Nigeria had better chances and played more pressure but if you cannot score goals especially from open play when it's needed and required you do not deserve to go through. The away goal Nigeria didn't score in Ghana broke them their neck. Shocking to see the coach said at the press conference they got what they wanted from the game in Ghana lol. His back was against the wall. Knowing that the missed away goal was crucial. Ghana deservedly go the next phase. Congratulations to them.

Really, I'm from Nigeria, but I am happy and confident with the African countries that qualified for the World cup, they know what they want and worked hard for it. This world cup is really going to be interesting. Senegal and Ghana are really prepared for it and I can see it. I just hoped they keep this spirit and work hard to the world cup finals. For the Nigerian team, they're confused, they don't play like experienced players. Right from the first playout in Ghana, it was clear Nigeria shouldn't qualify for the world cup, so they don't embarrass Africa.
African teams must work on their gegenpress and possession. I hate how our teams always play defensive at the big stage.

VAR can be sometimes funny
The ref was just at the spot, saw the tackle very clear and made his decision to allow play to continue from that fair defence in the box, yet someone some where thinks they know better than the referee and had to manipulate for the penalty. I guess that's the only way Nigerians can put a ball at back of Ghanaians net. Bravo 🇬🇭 🇬🇭 🇬🇭 🇬🇭 🇬🇭!!!!!
He had to play on because he couldn't see how clear it was. He had to wait for the ball to go out of play before he can check. He can't just stop the game because if it wasn't a penalty he can't just allow ghana to have a random free kick because one of their players tackled a Nigerian player. That's how VAR works, the ref knew he had to go to VAR but had to wait
