Well 188 episodes to go
Atleast it will be faster than "Geography now"
Or like i call it
(Geography late)
Better you pin me, had the best joke in this comment section
Tecnically we could go on forever, with regional flags, city flags, coats of arms, football club flags!
General Knowledge Do Fun with Coat of Arms as well!
Most likely
Do you realize how much effort needs to be put in those episodes? He works hard now
As always great video! Keep on, i am curious what country will you do next?
Great Channel, keep on going!
Please, research about the Buthan flag, One of my favorites
Lol, det way ur saying Dannebrog. I luv it ;)
Nice video.. and great channel u have.
General Knowledge: The oldest flag is Denmark's flag..
Me: I thought it was Austria.
My mum: No, Not Austria or Denmark, It's the Mauritania flag!! Okay!!
Me: That got changed like in 2017. so 2 years ago!
i don't blame Greenland for saying "Screw you Denmark" with it's flag.
Very nice
Neat though to be fair one thing I'm surprised isn't mentioned in neither the video itself or any of the many comments is the use of the flag within Denmark and lemme tell ya we use it a lot. Primarily as a symbol of celebration. We put strings of them on our Christmas trees, we decorate birthday cakes with tiny little Danish flags and we use paper flags to greet someone we haven't seen in a long time! The only country I can think of that uses it's flag as much as we do is the United States.
Greetings from Poland! You are doing very good job, can you make pl flag in next episode :P ?
the cool thing was that we were about to lose the battle, but then Dannebrog fell from the sky and denmark won the battle!
You forgot to mention the danes influence on Englands flag (not UK) being white background with a red cross :-)
Yes i. Danish and i hate they two flags is copy a nother!
No, English took their flag from the Republic of Genoa. 🏴
Chile’s and Australia’s flag pls? I love your channel btw
Actually Its Said that The creation and The idea of The Danish flag , was in The viking age, When The danes were conquering country’s!! And when they were killing people they saw a white cloth covered in blood with the same form of the danish flag 🇩🇰
So after that they were using it whenever they were conquering other territories, to symbolize victory and undefeat! And when other country’s saw it (Malta, Portugal etc) they were also using it to also show victory!!!
bullocks
The danish vikings had a flag, the raven banner. It is a black raven on a red background.

Bye the way there are regional flags of the same design such as Skåne (south part of Sweden, which once was Danish) which is Red background with a yellow cross - and others too
I am waiting for isle of man's flag.
Why three legs wheel? hahahaha.
You forgot to mention that only the Military and National forcilies are Allowed to use the rectangular Flag, the People use the triangle Flag. Only on National Holiday's (Birthday of a member of the Royal family...) Or one your birthday (or from a family member that lives in the same house) is it for the Folk allowed to use the rectangular Flag. But great Video !
Thank you sheldon
The house of Savoy took part in the second crusade, and they adopted the same flag after 1148.
Danish was adopted after 1219.
The Coat of Arms in this video is not the one of HM the Queen but her son HRH Prince Joachim. the crown and the center arms is diffrent :)
3:09 That thing you placed on the coin is actually a Danish order
Do one about Trinidad and Tobago flag
Actually Bornholm that is a danish island also has it own flag
Did you get this series idea form Knowledge Hub, Because he said in a video “if there was a show called “Fun With Flags, I’d watch it”
I got it from the Big Bang Theory! Didn't know Knowledge Hub talked about that, do you have a link to the video?
General Knowledge czcams.com/video/XfOTnkGyV-c/video.html

*too funny*
In my Parrish of Rome there is a grave made by Thorwaldsen, when I said this to Danish visitors they did not get my words. Probably Danish is difficult in pronounciation for a romance speaker.

I've heard in history class that the Danish flag was made when someone put a Christian cross in a white sheet of cloth and someone spilled blood over it.
I believe that’s the Austrian Flag
Talk about the dutch flag.
I prefer Dr Sheldon Cooper and Dr Amy Farrah Fowler

I'm pretty sure the Welsh flag would be older, but I guess that's not a national flag.
My fellow danish brothers and sisters, get of that high horse please...
Danish: den danske flag er det ældst flag i verden
Den danska flaggan är nästan de äldsta flaggorna i världen
Greenland and the Faroe Islands are part of the Commenwealth of the Realm, not the Kingdom of Denmark.
U forgot one thing i wish u mentioned
If the flag is flied at night u fly it for the devil

really well done vid, but i have a couple of things to add ...
whats up with u saying "short vid bc there's not much to talk about" after spending a solid 5 min talking about something u could've dived mOre into. i mean u stated it urself, the wolds longes continuing national flag (btw, i thought it was a bit inaccurate that u just called it "oldest flag in the world" bc flags in general have been around since before that. we danes didn't invent the concept of flags it self. we just coined the term national flag. and that's pretty cool i guess 🤷♀️
secondly it's tru that denmark was never a part of the roman impire, but that doesn't mean the the order of the order of knights of the hospital of saint john of jerusalem (latin: ordo fratrum hospitalis sancti Ioannis hierosolymitani) wasn't inspired by the endsign of the roman impire since both the romans and basically all of europe partook in the crusades (including the danes) and it's not unlikely to think that the flag was widely associated with christianity. the legend is actually really interesting form a religious skeptic pov. since it reached the far far past. and while part the happening actually took place (denmark got a national flag as the first nation/country ever and defeated Estonia with the help from the the order of the order of knights of the hospital of saint john of jerusalem (latin: ordo fratrum hospitalis sancti Ioannis hierosolymitani and they wore those cool as outfit's with the flag on the front)) but the flag magically decending from the heavens as a token of gods appreciation of the danes-part ... nah i don't buy it fam. this is how religious formation works tho.
Dannebrog is pronouced dannebro
Albania is beating danes 1443
I heard it was made when a guy wearing a white shirt and a cross necklace went to battle and every part of his shirt except for where the cross was, was blood stained.
@@senecathefuka441 the design is old, but for a long time is was a family banner and crest, the dannebrog has been a national flag for 800 years
@@magnusorn7313 you might be right, also it doesent trigger me that much, I was just over exaggerating, I do not really care very much
the oldest flag in europe is the albanian flag double eagle simbole
if you are interested in the coins of Denmark this is the video for you:

The Roman empire was alive when they made this flag !
Like hvis i kan forstå den her kommentar
0:27 if you wanna say it right you say “danne brige”
lol that is even more wrong....
... im word blind with Danish. tho i am danish
Kalkar Union :( But even today, countries like Norway and Sweden have great relations right?
Kinda sad how those Danes would rather conquer more ice than actual green land ;P down south of their border. Then ofc, the whole Holstein-Schleswig shenanigans
Also, can you please change Iceland and Greenlands name. Iceland is more green than ice. Vice Veras to Greenland (>o
The flag of Denmark isn't the oldest flag, it is the oldest NATIONAL flag of one country.
The flag of the Dutch province Noord-Brabant it selfs is older.
Axolotl - Guy lies
@@habo8722 Why? go search on wikipedia! The flag was already seen in the ports of Antwerp and in coat of arms books around the year 1000.
@@habo8722 And I dont say that this flag is the oldest flag in the world, but ist's defenitely older than the flag of Denmark.
Ps: I like Denmark
Axolotl - Guy Wikipedias are trash
@@habo8722 Like you!😂
This video no meaning
nope swedes flag are made from it own kinde yhe kross are for christendom and holy things and the blue for a weapon from an old king and much more but danmakr have own sweden but sweden always haded danmark sweden and danmark have been at 16 wars ower 400 years
Sweden was really a small province of Denmark for quite some time, back then. The parts that wasn't forests with dots of savages, that is ;-). Why shouldn't the Swedish flag have taken form after the Danish...
Giving the flag different symbolism doesn't mean it isn't inspired.
Do you realise how hard it is to read the comments with such a terrible grammar?
