Your reviews are really the best! Camera work is steady and well edited, you speak clearly, the sound work is nearly always first class and the reviews seem very objective. I especially like that you cover lots of smaller units. A lot of us older folks are driving smaller vehicles and the kids are living on their own. I like that you generally give the size and weight, if it's too heavy I can skip to the next section. Thanks.

Thanks for the video. Great job! I just got rid of my old 20ft Yellowstone hardside and moved up to a 2003 Jayco Kiwi 23ft hybrid. For myself and the wife it's a decent size and we don't always have to open up the pop-outs if it's only the two of us. If we happen to have additional people with us, the pop-outs are super easy to set up. Also like the fact that it has a manual slide out on the left hand side. Weighing in at 3630 lbs, my 2004 Suburban has no issues towing it down the road.

Checking out everyone's ingenious designs to keep things compact and take the most advantage of the space available is super interesting. I really like everyone's different solutions to problems. The compactness and the "everything you need" in a small area in campers and tiny homes is just really cool and appealing to me for some reason

We have a Rockwood Roo. Only two downsides is moisture forming between the mattress and hard surface of bed and condensation forming on the fabric of the tipouts. We used our hybrid at Lake Louise....They have an area fenced in for soft campers...fencing is electrified. For the moisture problem, a mat under the mattress will help and insulated covers for the fabric called GIZMOS.

We have a 2021 Rockwood Roo 233s that we bought in August 2020. We really like it and have taken it on 3 camping trips so far here in NH. My only complaint is on cold nights the tip out bunk ends build up a lot of condensation. I think this is a normal problem with tip out campers. We’ve found running the furnace and keeping the camper warm helps but it’s still and issue if you sleep in one of the three tip out beds. Otherwise we love the camper and recommend it.

I was looking at travel trailers and to get more space you have to haul alot of weight, and I like these units, They are lower weight so you don't have to tow as much and the room you get. I mean wow. We can't get over how much room you get. I can get a Ford Ranger to tow this if I want. I have been reading up on these and when you close the ends it's called Turtleing.

I’m starting to get into this channel. I started to have a love for RVs when when we went to buy are first RV when I was a kid. Forget the amusement parks I liked going to the RV shows & dealers. I would cut up the brochures to make my own floor plans. I’ve always wanted to be a RV designer to design them that just make sense for everyone.
I like the Intech toyhauler but it needs a few tweaks & a bathroom would be great.
It would of been nice to see you stand in it to give us an idea how tall it is inside. The specs say it’s 5’6” inside height. I’m 5’8” & can make it work but I would redesign it to not have the slide out kitchen & have some type of bathroom.

On the first one, if the outside kitchen cook top was reversed, if someone was cooking and someone else wanted to come outside they would open the RV door right into the person cooking. I don’t know if that was the reasoning behind their decision but it makes sense to me.

Very nice video we have an 05 Rockwood Rue 21 foot hybrid. I really like it when we're thinking of upgrading I really like at 23 foot still trying to decide if we want to go full camper or hybrid. A nice thing to add would be how the new hybrids do not have to be connected once fold it out like my 05. It's kind of a pain and also lets bugs in but the new ones seem to have fixed that issue might be worth mentioning down the road. Great video thanks for your input

Honestly I am not sure. My wife wants an older airstream, but we have a Jeep that has a maximum tow weight of 3500 lbs. So we are at a crossroads. Find something that we can tow that has enough room for everyone or buy another vehicle and use it to pull a bigger camper or buy a class c and tow the Jeep. Not sure what to do.

Wet baths are definitely better than no bathroom, that's for sure, and they do maximize space. We camped with a wet bath for 10 days and didn't really enjoy it. We enjoyed camping in our pop-up camper when the family was younger. Now we don't need all those beds. I do appreciate some of the new features in these, like the couch that flipped forward into an extra bed, and the little shelf above the bathroom sink. The small toy hauler is a little bare bones for me, but still a great unit for some. I can imagine a lot of deer hunters enjoying that set-up. I love that it is available in a small size instead of just the long big rigs you usually see when you talk about a toy hauler.
Will you be having the chance to look at any drive-able units? Well, seeing as we are confined to our homes, it probably is a no! I really hope my husband and I can upgrade to a small RV in the future as we plan to tour the country more extensively.

    • @RVBlogger

Those are all great points and I wish we could show you what it looks like while closed. We shoot our video tours while attending RV shows and occasionally at dealerships. Unfortunately we do not have the opportunity to close slides or beds in RVs. That is a disadvantage we have over many other RV tour CZcamsrs that work at dealerships. We actually tell people if you see an RV you like from one of our brief tours, check out @MattsRVReviews who does a more in depth tour of one RV per video. It's an idea. I'm always curious when someone says they want to know how accessible the inside is when closed for stop over purposes. How often does that occur? Can you take a cooler? These types of thoughts. Maybe you can help me with those answers. I don't know if being unaccessible during travel would stop me from buying my "perfect" floor plan. Sorry we can't help but thank you for letting us know your thoughts and watching our videos!

      Hey Rebecca,
We appreciate the feedback! When doing our reviews we don't get into the technical or outdoor stuff. We try to focus on the inside living area, and other details about campers can normally be found on the manufacturer's or dealership's website.
      Thanks for watching and commenting!

Why not skip the small sink in the bathroom. Brush your teeth at the kitchen sink. Make more room for the shower and toilet.

02:51 When you are cooking, you don't want to be standing in the doorway. Maybe the cooler/fridge can be turned around. The inTech does not look to have a bathroom. My Wife is in a wheelchair and would be able to enter the camper on the ramp. This would be perfect if it had a large area for the restroom so my Wife would not need to use the rest areas. Do you have videos of wheelchair accessible campers? Thank you for the video.

      Hi Dialysisforever,
We haven't made a video and I haven't written an article for the website about wheelchair accessible RVs yet. We may do both in the fall so please be on the lookout for that.
      Thanks,

I am also interested in wheelchair accessible trailers. Most of these look like my hubby could easily get around with a walker, tho,so our only problem would be actually getting in.Are there ramps made for these?

Nice review; thank you. Will say that I'm totally over all the wood accents that look like they should be residential. All I keep thinking is how much lighter it would be without those wood doors everywhere. Guess it just means I'm not looking at the right trailers for me.

      Hi Connie,
I keep looking for a camper that looks like a log cabin on the inside!
There are so many designs out there it is crazy! But half of the fun is seeing them all.

Maybe if we decided to downsize in the future. However, both Kris and I have said we will never pull a trailer again since we got the Class A. That said, always enjoy the quality and depth of your segments. Look forward to seeing your Toyhauler Class A reviews you mentioned you were planning. ~Bradley

How would you keep the trailer insulated with the pop out sides?

    • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Justin,
It's not easy but I would buy insulated blankets like concrete finishers use and drape them over the outside of the pop outs. They can handle rain no problem.
I would also use a heated mattress.
We have also seen people tape up Double Bubble Reflective Foil Insulation inside their popup but it looks pretty junky that way.
