“So you’re saying it didn’t happen here?”
“Noooo. It happened in the backyard.”
😂😂😂😂
😂😂
I damn near choked on my captain crunch from laughing at Jay during the lawn mower scene 😂😂😂
I know, I honestly thought that he was going to stop watching the movie right there as soon as he called Blank.
His shirt makes it more hilarious 😂
If you said cereal it wouldn’t have been nearly as funny
Fruity pebbles are better
Yeeeesssss! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I loved the "hey bro you are wasting paper, who taught you to take notes"? 😂😂
Lol that made me bust out laughing
Lol me too 🤣 I'm like he can't do anything right can he Jay?
😂
That was Jay’s flagship moment
It sure was.
"Pack it up!"
People who've seen the movie: 😅😫😬
The best part of this reaction "why they cutting the grass in the rain"🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah - that was weird though.
44:47 “she gon swing on her dead daddy’s leg? She ain’t shit” 😂😂😂
I think the soundtrack & audio was amazing and really made it that much scarier
It's the scariest soundtrack ever. The music is literally a character in the movie. 🖤
Him doing this is really a public service.
My man, you’re making the rest of the world feel good about itself. You’re bringing us joy in the darkness. Thank you.
“A Daycare of Demons?” I love it, and I’m here for it!! 🤣🤣🤣
That lawnmower scene got me too. It was so disturbing.
It is an all time jump scare. This scene is one of the reasons why I enjoy watching horror movies with large crowds.
A rare example of a jumpscare truly earned!
When JL picked up the phone, I was already dying! 🤣🤣🤣
Ethan Hawke played to perfection, a complete piece of crap excuse for a father. That said, one of Scott Derrickson's absolute best movies ever.
38:55 I think got us all J 😂"woogie boogie bitch" had me cracking up 🤣
I’m a horror movie lover and not much scares me anymore, but i randomly found this movie one night and it got me!
i’m tellin you man it’s the music!!
Omg at 29:00 the fact you jumped and got scared to the point you called blank got me rolling over laughing. I feel bad for laughing, but I wasn’t expecting that lol.. I loved this movie because Ethan Hawkes performance was top notch, and the kids made the movie so much more terrifying.
Please watch “the Black Phone” - another fantastic Hawkenstein monster mash. That actor SLAYS!
I found the super 8 footage and the music in this movie extremely unsettling. Actually scary.
Just from watching your reactions. I already know you wouldn’t die in a horror movie. You see all the red flags 😂
After all these years i just noticed when the little girl asked her dad where they were going and he said home.. she smiled
My daughter and I watched this movie: at home, all lights off, on the couch. We screamed so loud, thought neighbors could hear us and call the cops. Both of us barely slept afterwards and had every light in the bedroom ON!! LMAO
Enjoyed your reactions and would have packed my stuff/left immediately.
Love this movie and recommended to friends. 😂😳👍👏🙏🍀
I randomly saw this in theaters with my college roommate and we had zero expectations going in. Needless to say we were both impressed lol. The music during the tapes still kinda freaks me out whenever I rewatch it. 😅 Great movie.
The lawnmower is still the best jumpscare ever.
Jay had to use a lifeline & phone a friend 😂
Awesome. Glad you finally got to this one. The concept and the way Bagul just slowly started creeping it made me love this movie.
Ps. Not sure how many people noticed but on the last few frames they show of the burning car its shaking violently and just the thought of the people being tied up, burning and using any strength they have to try and get out from desperation gets to me
I'm rewatching this again tonight.
Notice how the daughter cracks a smile a 40:32 when he tells her they are going home. Chilling.
Some silly horror tropes aside, I thought this was one of the more legitimately scary AND horrific horror films of the past 15 years or so.
Those Super 8 sequences in particular really stick with you and Ethan Hawke gives a great performance, as usual.
agreed
Agreed. It was genuinely terrifying with the kids. But Bagoul spoiled it - he looked like a melted Michael Jackson 🤣
It’s BORING SLOW the conjuring is the BEST
@@ToThePointCTNot it isn’t this is boring slow doesn’t even come close to the conjuring
@@rachaelhogan7850 in your opinion 😊
"They scared the book out of him" 😂😂😂
I've seen J stop the movie and rant, but I have NEVER seen him call Blank during the reaction and request new draws... this was the BEST.
I second this! That was classic!
@@StaciePoole-ng2ky I nearly peed myself laughing. My chest hurt. I chuckled again just thinking about it.
Man, J really leaned into it this year... I LOVE THE MURDER WHISTLE, but the Heathen is strong with this one, and I am enjoying watching him go through the Jloween Gauntlet...
“Ohhh f$!&@*# woogie boogie bitch” 39:10 has me in stitches 😂😂😂
I remember I went to see this with my mom when it came out. Scared the living hell out of us.
Their movie was called house painting... Get it because she liked to paint and she painted the walls with her families blood.
Ohhhh snap! I've seen this like 20x at least and I've never noticed that. Or it just didn't register. COOL.🖤
8:17 it’s always hilarious to me when you’re engrossed in the tension of a movie but some random detail will annoy the hell out of you. Some of the funniest comments you make.
10:26 lol. Damn!
19:52 lol. So funny
29:08 OMG. Wasn’t expecting the call to Blank.
47:46 lol. They caught you slippin
Great reaction as usual. Hope you got to watch some good cartoons afterwards.
28:23 you can actually pinpoint the moment JL shit his pants
Yall he gon jump!😂
Detroit death house 😂 love J's one liners
I have night terrors and my husband fishes me out of the yard on a regular basis lol... I absolutely cried laughing through this and you cant even fuss because you asked to watch haha
The one time where “pack it up!” Is bad advice 🤣
They got a “daycare of demons outside.” 😂
“Woogie Boogie B*TCH!” Officially took me away😂😂🤣😭😩
Yeah, the lawnmower scene messed me up the first time too. I had to watch a kids movie to sleep after that one.
So I pride myself on jump scares and not reacting to them because a lot of times its easy to see/hear when they are probably gonna happen. But this movie got me on the lawnmower jump scare. Whew one of the best unpredictable ones, in my opinion.
It’s so funny how you get so mad at the people on the film 😂 you’re reactions are the best!
Disturbing movie but I like it way more than Insidious 😊
A modern horror film that's ACTUALLY horrific. Who'd have thunk it?
💯
Me too I don't actually find insidious scary
@@believeume122 I don't think Sinister is that scary, either
Much better than insideous
Dam been coming with heat this week.
Shit, that's damn near all thw eeks haha even the few movies on the channel I wasn't particularly into or excited about I GET excited about when I know J is reacting to them 😂
Fun fact the creatures he runs into are bhagul or what ever that creature is in a form he can turn into.
Yeah the movie can be kind of frustrating at times, but I absolutely love sinister. I think it's a modern horror classic. I would almost put it up there with the likes of The Exorcist and The Shining
OMG!🤭I’m dead!😂
10:30 -“I mean it is still barbecuing with the family!”
Two things, buddy should've moved a couple houses down instead of in the actual house, and left once he seen the box instead of opening it. Secondly, what makes all the killing videos in this worse, is that its a kid doing it to their entire family. Good job making it through this one, you're definitely getting better at handling jump scares and what not.
This movie really scared the s*** out of me they did an amazing job
Have you seen Manhunter? It's a kick ass 80's Hannibal Lector movie pre Anthony Hopkins. Red Dragon is a remake of it. A writer said it inspired the look of the tapes. It's by the director of Heat too.
Better watch Theif too.
The fact that the real bad guy was barely in the movie on screen but was technically there from the beginning, dropping his signs/rituals like clockwork is wild to me. Love it
I love how you and Ethan recoiled the same way after seeing the lawnmower scene.
This for me is so intense because of the darkness and the music and the fact they were actually a 'real' family in a fiction sense, the acting was so good. Ethan and James (Deputy So-and-so) are actually in The black phone together, 2022, another good horror imo. Poor MW lol - what's the odds of him doing Sinister 2? Though on the bright side? 2 t-shirts from it maybe? A ''Mr Boogie-Woogie'' and ''The Detroit murder house.'' 🤣🤣
That's such a husband answer. "The murders didn't happen here, it was in the backyard!"
FACTS 😅
Normally I hate that last jump scare, but who else was excited for it this time 😂
My man stopped a movie to call Blank about a movie *he* picked himself lmao. I don't blame J, though. This is easily one of the best horror flicks of all time in my opinion.
I watched this at 2 am. When the pool scene came on an ypu see him chilling in the pool, I was screaming "wtf was that?!?!?!"
My intestines slipped right outta my butt at that part..10/10 movie
This movie was on another level when it came out. The super 8 homemade films and the sound design really bothered me at a time where I was pretty new to horror
Did you catch the title of that final reel? "House Painting" was pretty clever.😱Priceless reaction, thanks!
Very scary disturbing the music the darkness in the scenes just really scary in my opinion i hope you enjoy
It's funny because the deputy whoever was Eddie in IT
I was WAITING for the lawnmower scene, I knew it would get you. Watching in the theatre was insane!
"Why are we cutting grass in the rain ?" 😂 seconds later
Good night Jay and the rest of the family 😊👍😎🇹🇹 never seen this movie 🤦
Another great reaction! I absolutely love watching your videos. Keep up the good work 💜
Okay. That jumpscare at 38:56 even got me watching this. Forgot about that one.
I would enjoy you watching some disaster movies. Like deep impact, the day after tomorrow. The happening is a good one. Love watching your channel.
The Happening? I think that movie sucked HARD. My friend group was so excited to see it because we loved The Sixth Sense so much. We couldn't stop making fun of it when we left the theater. 😂
I enjoyed all of those movies, too.
Another great reaction. You had me cracking up.
Deputy Soandso was played by the actor who played the adult Eddie in IT, James Ransone
Lol when he got on the phone 😂😂😂
Jay: "Kill me some other way, don't let me drown".
Me: *evil grinning because I know the lawn mower scene is still coming".
Wow - You commented at the end that his daughter said she would make him famous because she realized that deep in his mind that's what he really wanted in life - was to be famous - again. Very Good analysis!
Great choice. Can't wait
Technically it's not a death house as the family passed away outside by the tree. So, it's basically a death tree.... 😂😂😂
This is one of those movies that I haven't seen and will never sit down to watch. But I enjoy watching you with your reactions all the way 👍👍
In all my life of watching horror movies that attic scene is what got me. I had never jumped before, but that did it
Haha that’s how you do a jump scare 👍🏻 The music makes this movie as well
This might be the one to make u chit yourself 😂😂😂
This one gave me that creepy feel for a hour after watching it in a dark house. Good job!
Oooo!!! I’ve been waiting for this reaction. I’m so excited.
The true terror on your face is priceless. I'm rewatching it again. 😅😅😅😅😅
I like ending when he says motherfucker when he got scared 😂😂😂
I watched this whole ass video just to see your reaction to the lawnmower scene 😂
Hey J, I do believe your beard is getting grayer with every JLoween movie 😮 Blank will be hiring you out as Santa if this continues 😂 Loving your reactions, the best on the internet ❤
I would say this is the scariest movie I've ever seen
Vincent D'Onofrio in an uncredited role? I feel like Christmas came early!
Please review "The Others" and 30 days of night. TY!!
Love the consistency. Can’t wait for you to finish the Halloween and Friday the 13th series 🙌🏽🔥🔥🔥
I love this movie but I would have had no idea how to use the film projector. They would have just stayed in the box. 🤷
Ethan is slowly becoming one of my favorite horror movie actors!
FACTS. He takes the genre seriously.
“Woogie Boogie got director’s cuts!” 😂🤣
A daycare of ghosts!!!! 😂😂😂
I have literally watched the lawnmower scene like 30x already. Your reaction is amazing. You stopped the movie. You called your boy. 😂😂😂😂
I'm dead!!! ☠️
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
To be fair, Sinister is actually SCARY. I'm 51 yo. I've been watching horror since before I can remember. I saw The Omen w my parents at the drive-in when I was 5 yo. The movie scarred me for life but my obsession with horror began. So, I've been in the horror biz for almost as long as I've been alive. I'm completely desensitized. Movies stopped scaring me when I was about 10 yo. Buuuut... Sinister actually gave me the heebie jeebies. That soundtrack is its own character in the movie and it's terrifying. It's got to be the scariest soundtrack in horror, ever. And I'd say most horror fans agree. So I commend you for sitting through this. It's a legit movie. And I LOVED how much the lawnmower scene terrified you. 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 Even I jumped the 1st time I saw this. I didn't need to stop the movie and phone a friend but I was creeped TF out.
Now, onto PEARL and The Fourth Kind. 🖤
The soundtrack in this film is so damn scary. Sleepy time in particular 😢
"Girl, you got a daycare of demons outside..."
Fun fact: The cop (James Ransone) is the same guy is played adult Eddie in IT: Chapter 2
He's in Black Phone too. 🖤
This is gonna be a good one.
After watching this movie I immediately watched It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown so I could get something light. Sinister lives up to its name.
Amazing reaction bro this is one of my favorite movies I watch it every year the day before Halloween and I watch a 2nd on Halloween
“House Painting”
That’s the name of their movie.
I had to take a screen shot and zoom in to see it 😆
Oh my gosh I love your reactions so so much you are so funny the best reactor especially to these horror movies on CZcams the best please keep doing them forever you've got a huge fan in me🔥💯💯💯
