He seems like a genuinely personable young man. He'll have his issues, as we all do, but life has gifted him some extraordinary mentors, and he appears to have done a fine job of incorporating the best of all of them.
Oh yes! I was really pleased to learn that Her Majesty QE II, carved out an hour or more every Sunday while he was attending school nearby, to have a ‘private tea” and a chat with just the two of them. One can only imagine the wisdom HMTQ imparted to him. ❤

Im the same age as Prince William. I grew up watching him all over the news, and he was constantly in magazines. I remember a lot of girls going crazy about how handsome he was, and still is. As an American, I really didn't know much about the royal family, but I always admired how humble and "normal" he seemed. He is going to make a great King.

Please help an ignorant American 🇺🇸 It was my understanding that William didn’t officially become Prince of Wales until HLMTQ’s sad passing. Why then, at his graduation 17:37 was he called William Wales 🏴 instead of Mountbatten Windsor? Because he’d become Prince of Wales? Was he called that since childhood? Did he have a different surname than his unfortunate brother?
@@LC_from_MO . There is a funny story about this matter regarding the late Queen Elizabeth II. When she was very young, her parents were the Duke and Duchess of York, and she was "Elizabeth York". When her Uncle Edward VIII abdicated, her father George VI became King as Edward had no heirs and he was the next in line. Apparently the young Princess Elizabeth objected, because, she said, "I used to be Elizabeth of York, and now I am Elizabeth of Nothing". Must be a bit confusing to the kids too!
@@LC_from_MO Supposing Harry were stripped of all his titles, he would then lose Sussex as well, and at that point he and his children, and his wife if they were still married, would revert to Mountbatten-Windsor. That's the standard surname for anyone without their own title, I think. I might be wrong! Don't quote me on this one! (I'm sure I'm right about the other two, though).

When he was born, he was William Wales due to the fact that his father was the Prince of Wales; and when his father became King, he promoted William to Prince of Wales within a few days of his accession, as far as I remember. So maybe William wasn't for a few days only, but most of us were expecting that he would be promoted to Prince of Wales. The eldest son/ heir to the throne usually is, ever since, as far as I remember, King Edward III and the Black Prince, his son. We were just expecting there'd be a mini sort of "coronation" for William like the one his father had way back when. The Investiture of the Prince of Wales. Lots of pomp and ceremony at Carnarvon Castle in Wales. Apparently Prince William didn't want a public Investiture, so the King probably duffed him with a sword and they said some private vows behind scenes.

Prince William is the best. In this crazy world where people dont have integrity anymore and thrive on hateful drama. This guy, less his struggles low so not to bother anyone with them. He carries weights of the world on his shoulders since the day he was born. And is everyone’s strength. And he honors his mother’s name and legacy today even in death. He would never dream of using her name in vain especially for his own gain. He has saved countless lives and never boasts about it. Honestly, the guy is who I want my kids to look up to. And he is a King in my eyes. Funnily enough he truly is a future King. RESPECT. 🙌🏾

Prince William is so blessed, not only as future King, but also inheriting his mother's good looks and popularity. He gets to find love and marry her and create beautiful children without much complication unlike what his father had to go through. He has everything! Yes, life is not always rosey even for a future King like William but he is truly truly blessed. I hope all his blessings would carry him through all his difficult times in life.

I think The Princess Catherine of Wales Family had a tremendous influence on Prince William. The Middletons were a well grounded and close family. William is definitely a family man and a humble man who understands the problems of his people.

❤apparently his mother showed her children how to respect the not privileged and show her adult children to follow her example. Bravo Diana,to be a True royal .
She did a lot of questionable/concerning things BUT her true good works can never be denied like taking WIlliam and Harry to homeless shelters and hospices after dark with no paparazzi swarming, at least William took it all in and it touched his heart. And I will never forget how she broke the fears and disgust of people with HIV and AIDS and showed the world that it was okay to shake their hands and hug them at a time when even the medical industry was treating them badly.
I have so much respect and admiration for Prince William, thank God he was born first❤.

PW, the loss of his mother and the charity work he done and worked hard has made him the man he is today and met Kate Middleton who he has married and chose well as his wife. William has taken lessons from ALL the primary adults in his life, grandfather, mother, father still, but mostly his grandmother, those afternoon teas when he was at Eaton where not only personal but educational and he probably treasures them and will pass that on to his children. He's a very accomplished, genuinely kind, caring loving and compassionate MAN 💙 who just happened to be born a Prince, but he's also a Prince of a MAN, who will honor his grandmothers legacy while also moving forward and trying to improve the future for the next generations 🥰.

The commentator said Harry was also a helicopter pilot - He didn't pass his test, even though he tried 3 times. Harry was a gunner on the helicopter.

BOTH were pilots. William continued to fly civilian search and rescue

If you notice when William and Harry were standing together in front of the helecopter, William was wearing his pilots wings but Harry was not. Since Harry had been at flight school longer, don't you think he would be wearing wings too if indeed he had passed the pilot licence test! Other veterans who were in Afghanistan with Harry have stated that he was not a pilot. He was a gunner.

This is a very good documentary but in places the music is so loud that it drowns out the narration and one simply has difficulty hearing what is being said.
How traumatic for the boys...I can't imagine having to walk behind my mother's coffin for such a distance without being able to show any emotions. Yet witnessing the public openly displaying their grief. How very tragic 😢....then to have to go on living within such restrictions and confines

Our late Queen was thought to be very unemotional but she learned to have a `public` face .
In fact ,she had a marvellous sense of humour and was very empathetic in meeting people.

I’m watching this on Charlotte’s 9th birthday, it’s so wonderful to see William grow his family and deal with so much adversity with grace and fortitude. I think he’s truly a blessing to the UK and wish we had such a public figure in my country.

I think that tradition is an important part of being royal, to remind us of heritage and ideal example of what we hold as important parts of the many origins of the different peoples all over the world, and where elitists are trying to turn the world into a world of surfs all the same like robots to serve them and their detached sense of people and culture, they are not royal they are rick our royals should embody their culture and sense of identity and the best of manners and dignity within their cultures even if they are more modern they should embody traditions of their cultures and promote the good will of their culture and people and assist in comforting their peoples in times of struggle. This is a very hard job setting example of manners, grace and good will and often we forget that they may be royal but they are human beings, sons and daughters of God and therefore imperfect but expected to be strong no matter what in the eyes of their people. This is not always easy nor straight forward and it takes nerves of steal, which I dont think Henry has, he is not suited to the job and therefore frustrated and bitter and way to narrow minded and entitled to be aware of the expectation of royalty.
He is not a king yet. Please don't forget his father who is still currently alive! I hate when this kind of crap is done!
