My Grandfather had a toilet like the Mansfield in his downstairs guest bathroom under the stairs. His house was turn of the century and I remember ithis toilet when we visited in the 1960’s.
What an awesome find! Many could use a good cleaning w/ muriatic acid. Many are neglected. Just because facilities are old doesn't mean they can't be clean. You gave a thumbs up to the Sapphire yet it didn't flush. "Standard" Modernus on flushometers were the champions of the early to late 20th century. The Douglas Leader was the big surprise find here. I know you wanted to take that one home with you, along with maybe a few more. Make arrangements to swap some out with cheap new ones! 😊
This video makes me wanna go back to this hotel I stayed at in 2014. It was in Victoria Canada. I remember seeing a forward trap toilet in the room, but it was way before I got into toilets. But I also want to go see the 1958 Kohler Trylon I filmed back in August. Nice video btw!
We did have reverse trap toilets in the U.K. in the 1970's, but I doubt if there are any in use now in 20016. I only came across on in real life, and I believe there are a few videos knocking about on CZcams.
VintageToiletFan 1997 That would be correct now, but they were not quite like the U.S. ones like you have here in this video. One video which I quite liked is lost now from CZcams, but if you try 'reverse trap toilet U.K. you may get to see a good video where the toilet is flushed repeatedly and viewed from various angles.
There must be a lot of old toilets still in use where you live. Also, I hope you washed your hands. Many of them don't seem to have been cleaned in awhile.

The condition of some of these and the fact that they're even still in use is absolutely INSANE!
