  • Are the 56" Race Ramps low enough for a stock height Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320? Are they sturdy? Are they safe? Do they raise my car enough to work under it? Are they worth the expensive price?
    I go over my thoughts on these Race Ramps, why I bought them, and how they hold up as I drive up onto them in my 2020 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack 1320.
    UPDATE - In the vid I show my receipt where I bought these for $209. Unfortunately they've gone way up in price since I made this video. I still think they're worth it, but the value definitely isn't as good.

    Scavenger 1320 thanks for a very good video. Your video today 1/6/22 made me decide to get these Race Ramps for my Mopar car. I have a '12 Chrysler 200 Touring convertible that is very low to the ground also and I think these are a good choice for my use.

    Excellent info, I have old fashion steel ramps that are strong but not as user friendly. I didn't want to get plastic ramps because I heard they fail, but after seeing your video, I ordered a set of race ramps for my 1320, thanks Bro.

      Glad I could help! I definitely don't regret buying them. Plus they're so light I plan on taking them to the track with me to do an active exhaust delete on a buddies car. Thanks for watching!

    @bkny6798 Před 3 lety

    I also purchased the wheel chocks too. I deleted my active exhaust with the MFERS extreme and backing it up the ramps made it so easy to install.

    • @Scavenger1320

      for sure. I LOVE how easy it is now to work underneath the car. And its easy to haul the ramps to the track and help a buddy out deleting his active exhaust!

    I agree that the metal ones are pretty bulky and beat you up when youre setting them down. I haven't see these ones in person but they look solid. If I need to get my car elevated in the future I'll definitely look into this.

    Great video and ramps!! I purchased the 67" Race Ramps one piece because i have a 2020 Charger Scat Widebody with the 305's and 20 x 11 wheels and the 67" ones are 14 inches wide so i just wanted a little more width.

    • @Scavenger1320
      @Scavenger1320  Před 3 lety

      That extra width would be nice for that size tire. I only have a 275 right now so these 56" are perfect. I do plan on getting 305's but they'll be on the rears and dragstrip only. Thanks for watching!!

    Could that cause issues changing oil due to the fact that the vehicle was at an angle and not completely level? Will some of the oil still be left in there until it was level out?

    • @Scavenger1320
      @Scavenger1320  Před 3 lety +1

      That's something that I did think about when I did my first oil change. If there was, I'm not as worried about it since there's probably thousands of people that do oil changes using ramps, and second, because what might be left in there is probably still less than the amount left in during those quick "10 minute" oil changes the "pros" do, where there's no way they get all the oil out in the short time they have the drain plug out.
      But, one of the reasons I do oil changes myself is to be sure that all the old oil comes out. So, on my next oil change I'm going to do a little test to find out for sure. I'll put out a video of it when I do, which will probably happen in about a month or so right before the big youtuber callout event I'm going to on April 10.

      @@Scavenger1320 I'm tired of cold and snow, I left 73 degrees in Houston yesterday to 10 degrees here. We are considering either Dallas/Fort Worth or Houston area if we make the move.

    • @Scavenger1320
      @Scavenger1320  Před 3 lety +1

      @@daytona5.722 Can't go wrong either way. Both have pros and cons. Houston's greener and more humid, but will stay warmer through the winter. Dallas usually has the bottom of that jet stream pass by, so our temps can roller coaster a bit. It was mid 70s the other day and next week we're gonna get some of that arctic air come through and the low might dip down into the teens, but that doesn't happen often and after a couple days its warm again. Summers in Dallas though can be brutal and actually get higher temps than Houston. 100+ degree days are common here. Drivers suck in both places, but in Dallas they all drive slow and hesitate constantly making bonehead moves. Houston they seem to drive like no one else is on the road and drive fast.

    At that price point for what I need I'd be better off buying a QuickJack given everything I can do with them. Very good vid though!

    • @Scavenger1320
      @Scavenger1320  Před 2 lety

      QuickJacks are nice and I wish I could afford those, but the price points don't even compare. Currently on Summit these ramps are 273.60 and the 5000 lb. rated QuickJack is 1419.99! If I could afford those I'd definitely get them, it would make swapping wheels out so much easier too. Thanks for watching!

    • @Scavenger1320
      @Scavenger1320  Před 3 lety +1

      If all you need is access under the car without removing any wheels then absolutely. Besides oil changes, I've now used these to remove my front sway bar and to do some exhaust work on mine and a friend's car. There's not enough room for dropping a transmission but a starter shouldn't be an issue depending on where it's located, and what else has to be removed to get to it. I know some things are hard to get to on them German cars

  • @T3l3MuNd0

    These are pricey...BUT the old saying "you get what you pay$💸💰💶💵 for. Like doing work under a car, being light, but able to carry alot, to me they're worth it.
    I use it on 2 cars for oil changes. 01 Highlander with 2az-fe engine & 97' Rav4 with the 3s-fe engine.
    So they're good for your case Sports cars & my case old beater cars.

      I know I need to work on the lighting. Might need a new GoPro too. It's not dark at all when I'm filming, but this old 2018 model isn't that great when you're not in full outdoor sunny conditions. It would help if I didn't need to open the garage door which throws all that bright light in and messes the contrast, but with it closed the gopro video looks even darker.
