- Today I will show you how to make a wire wrapped sea glass pendant using supplies from Papermart: www.papermart.com/Home?origin=...
You will need:
Sea Glass
20 gauge wire
wire cutters and needle nose pliers
2mm satin Rat-Tail cord: www.papermart.com/colored-rat-...
Kraft jewelry boxes: www.papermart.com/natural-kraf...
scissors and a lighter
Directions:
Cut 12" of wire. Make a loop 2" from the end. Holding the loop at the top of a piece of beach glass start wrapping the long tail around while trapping the short tail under the wire in the back. Pull the long tail back to the top and wrap around the loop for security. Wrap extra wire into a decorative spiral and press against the back or you can trim it off.
Cut 30" of cord and slid pendant on. Tie each end to the opposing side with a surgeons knot. Tie the loose ends in a overhand knot close to the surgeons knot, trim and burn ends.
These make great gifts and craft fair items!

Beautiful! Thank you for the directions on the knot, I have tried forever to learn to do one from books, bought jewelry DVDs, which none have had the knot. You are such a wealth of knowledge & good teacher, you inspire & empower creativity. Thank you sincerely.
Fantastic! I especially like how you did the adjustable necklace. I have never seen anything like that before. Very well done, indeed!
This is a super project. Love the colored sea glass. Easy to make. More easy than I thought. Thanks Lyndsey.
There are many sellers calling their glass "sea glass" when it is tumbled glass made to look like sea glass. What you find in dollar stores is not sea glass. Some people don't mind using tumbled glass but it should be called what it is. Sea glass is not a manufactured bead or glass shards tumbled in a tumbler. Sea glass comes from the sea.
As a collecter of sea glass (300 lbs over 10 years) i think that fake stuff is obvious. Genuine looks better
@@jodicool9787 Love Linds, but I agree. It should say Faux sea glass, but at least she makes it clear and is teaching not selling but real sg is great. And getting more valuable and harder to find as we have become more reliant on plastic and the supply is gone!
I prefer the tumbled version lots more options to use beautiful glass of your choice
Thanks for showing us how to make the adjustable knot! Enjoy your tutorials every day. Thanks also for taking the time out in your busy day to sit down and share your knowledge with us. B
Super easy, great instructions. thanks!
OMG thanks so much! I actually have these supplies minus the sea glass...easy to solve that! FUN!!
This is the best and easiest sea glass wire wrapping tutorial I’ve seen on CZcams. Looks beautiful. I just made a few of these, and now I’m addicted! Thanks so much.

Beautiful Lindsay :D
Sooo awesomel!! So glad I found this😁! Thank you!😊💕 L❤VE!
Beautiful, Lindsay. I don't live too far from the sea but my sister, who lives on the other side of the county (about 12 miles from me) is right on the coast. It looks like I'm going to have to go over and do some beach combing with her and if I can't find any good glass nearly every other shop in the town is a gift shop so I'll be able to find a bag easily :). xx
👋 new sub here.
I'm a stained glass Artisan and I do repurpose leftover glass into necklaces.
I also collect at the beaches when I find.
When I sell at an event, my sign says both sea glass AND non sea glass.
I let the buyer choose what they like best.
That adjustable knot would have been very helpful when I made some kids' bracelets for passing out at Halloween a couple years ago. I'll have to practice that, thank you for showing that. I may even replace the neck piece that holds a Terra cotta essential oil diffuser, now that I've seen how to do that!
beautiful
Thank you. This video was very helpful 😊
You're welcome;)
So cute for summer
Beautiful
Thanks for sharing. .... I will be trying this technique.

TFS this great tutorial! They are beautiful! Love that you showed how you make it an adjustable necklace so everyone can enjoy and wear :)
interesting wrap but craft store "sea glass" IS NOT sea glass. sea glass can only be made by the action of water on a beach. usually somewhere on an ocean shore or a great lake. craft glass is just that.
Love it
Very nice
Thank you for sharing..THUMBS UP..
I love the one in the box right hand top. Could you show me how to make that one pls😊
Thanks for sharing how to make that adjustable knot. I've been wanting to make some bracelets with that and didn't know how. I have some very pretty polished stones my sister gave me and I was wondering if I could wrap them with a loop at each end and string them for a necklace? Would they hold together do you think? They are about the same size as your beach glass but perhaps a little thicker.
yes but use a 18-16 gauge wire to make sure it is strong enough:)
Thanks!
HI, can you please recommend for me a brand of pliers? I need round nose
but not sure what size/ length and or thickness I should buy. Id like
to make pendants like yours with little metal spirals on the front. And I
also need cutters. Please help. Thankyou!
Nice
These are soooo cute! I do have a question though. Why do you put the decorative curled ends in the back where they are not seen? Would it not be prettier to have them in the front of the sea glass? Thanks and Hugz~Lynda
i've never done seaglass or flat stones, but when i do normal rounded stones they always seen to fall out of their cage, do you have tips for that?
I love your videos thank you for this one also
smilz n hugz
Very pretty, you could wear it front or the back would still be very pretty!!! Thanks for sharing Lindsay!!! Hugs Liz x
would earrings,,or rings fit in that size box?
Thanks for showing the slider method for the string. Does it also work on the thin round leather string?
yes:)
Perfect thanks!
I do jewelry all the time and always wo ndered how to do the Adjustable cord. Wish I could find lovely red sea glass on the beach. Only white brown and green for me when I look.
Excellent - simple, easy way to wire wrap. I'm looking for what kind or gauge of wire you used. I have two stones of my own that I want to rewrap and not sure how to go about it. Thank you for this video.
18 gauge I think
what size boxes are you using? in inches please
Papermart is a cool site! Thanks for the info.
Hey Lindsey I love your videos btw but I was wondering if you are familiar With the "soho urban watercolor" brand? Because I was looking into more neon/vibrant watercolor paints. And if you maybe know another brand that's well know for that please let me know. Appreciate it 💛
I have never used it, i see it on sale at Jerry's Aratarama a lot though:)
Lindsey love the wrapped sea glass. I was wondering where you get the glass, I looked on line but they have so many to choose from, such as bags full. Is that what I want or do you, or can you, buy just individual pieces??? Where do you purchase yours??? I want to try doing this and making a necklace with that as the center and use handmade paper beads up both sides....Love your videos.....
I got bags of it at a craft store and dollar stores:)
thefrugalcrafter . Thanks, but I don't have any craft store or dollar store around as I live in a rural town, is there someplace that you know of that you can buy on line....???? Thanks so much for your help
I never bought it online, try joann.com I get many things from there or Blick Art Materials:)
WOW...that is so cool!
TFS
Anita
Great video. I already have 24 gauge wire can I use that?
It should be fine. Have fun!
Perty :)
I always thought you had to put super glue on the end of the rat tail cord until recently I saw someone burn it like you did. Much easier and quicker
How funny I was just about to write that I love to come back to this video to watch it, but I already wrote that comment 8 months ago 😅
Won’t copper wire tarnish?
Thanks good information. Nice work. Just seams rushed
do you have any of these for sale... :) thanks
sure what one do you want? $5 plus $2 shipping in the US:)
the light blue with the curly Q in the box...do you send me a invoice and I pay via paypal?
Meli Isen sent an invoice!
Mee make it too
Omg u have a rare red sea glass that's worth way more
TheMaddyShow I bought it in a bag at the craft store, shhh;)
Oh, ok
Did u know that it's probs fake
And that red a rare
Orange is a rare
Great tut, as usual, but I miss the silliness. :-)
I don't think glass from the market is actual sea glass. I would always use glass from a beach or a lake
Sorry talking too fast and didn’t catch how to do the knot. Just a little slower will work a little better. Love your tips on boxes and type of cord.
Thanks for the tip!
Hello sis I have a glass diamond how much money has now tell me
You lost me with both end tying...
