So at first I was like, okay this looks easy, then when I started doing the twists and they looked a hot mess I was like, "why am I doing this?!" But I kept on with the tutorial and I was like, oh this is it? This is easy! Just takes some practice and patience. Thanks for the vid. I feel all proud of myself and what not.

That little tip on getting the angles right to keep your twists symmetrical at 2:00, is important, even if it's such a little thing. Learned about that for making safety wire ties on aircraft bolts. The skill translates nicely.

@@Ryan-zp6of, yeah, I rescued a spool that was going to be thrown in the trash for having been left out in the rain and started corroding. I cleared off the outer windings with the corrosion and the rest was still in good shape. Since then I've made wire helicopters, a paratrooper, other various shaped art, plus a wire art silhouette of an old anniversary picture of my parents and gave them as a gift. Still have some of that roll left somewhere.

This will let me wrap a few stones and get good results, and build my confidence for the larger Carter pieces. Thank you so much. You do great work!

Pardon the pun, but you're a "rock"star! I've had 8 hand/wrist surgeries and my dexterity isn't what it used to be. I have all these beautiful stones waiting to be used, just sitting in a drawer. The other cabochon tutorials are frustrating. Your method is easy & quick, but with a stunning result. Can't wait to try. I know I can manage this w my hand limitations. Thank you soooo much!

I usually have a terrible time with these "simple" tutorials because they seem to show my mistakes a lot more than complicated ones :D But I had a particularly odd-shaped stone (a thick rounded pyramid, essentially) that really needed an elegant simple wrap, and this did the trick! I really like the way you explain things, and the singsong sound of your voice :)
