- Right now we are seeing unprecedented dominance by the Red Bull in the hands of Max Verstappen.
After today's win in Monza over the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, history has been made as he becomes the first Formula 1 driver in the sports history to win ten consecutive races in a single season.

We've seen glimpses of Max's brilliance throughout his early years, finally cultivating into a championship win in 2021. Over that whole season he was just better than Hamilton, forcing Mercedes to pull out all stops at the end of the season and take engine penalties to keep up with RedBull. After 2021 RedBull didn't stop while Mercedes is still licking their wounds (which I honestly can understand). RedBull just kept the momentum going and that's also very impressive.
Only Sainz’ pole lap denied Max a perfect weekend. Redbull have always been an ace racing team but with Max they are positively lethal.
Even the W11 was beaten TWICE on pure pace. Not even Mercedes in 2020 could achieve what Max and Red Bull are achieving now
And it is also by Max.He was able to battle with even W11.

People forget that what Max is doing now is what Seb did 10 years ago. RB has built such a solid race team that It's harder and harder to keep up. Sure Merc was impressive in between but RB was always pretty close, and now they are using all that experience from Seb and from when Merc combined to come up with a car/driver/team combo that is levels above any one else. Perez is a good driver but he just doesn't have a handle on the car as well as Max does.
The cars are the same, but not the drivers.
Sergio Perez is exactly what RB need right now ! Fights for no more than a P2 finish when Max gets P1 and when and if Max DNF's , Checo fights for the P1 with the entire team on his side .
I think Checo will in RB till 2026 , if he continues to be at the podium (P2 at maximum) consistently. The next 4-5 races will determine the fate of his contract.
Not really. Vettel did it in a season where 4 different teams could win races. Webber never won a race and was barely on the podium. 2013 is a legendary season of driver (not team) domination.

Agreed... Lewis has had a good career, but his car was far more dominant relatively than Red Bull currently... Also not the first or last time Lewis takes someone out somehow he always avoids damage to his own car which is sad. Would've been nice to see him just DNF from making such a bad mistake. Despite his dominant car and people saying ''he had better teammates'', which is true, him and his better teammates never managed a win streak the Red Bulls have done. They didn't break the 11 wins in a row by McLaren, Max might equal that 11 by himself next week. So Lewis and his fans saying ''Lewis had better teammates'' it's like bro, Lewis + teammates didn't get 11 wins in a row Max is about to do it alone.
I'm not a crazy F1 fan, I honestly just like records and stats which is why I follow it and learned a lot about the sport. Lewis just doesn't have the raw skill Max does. He's got records by being in the sport for a long time. Is he a good driver? Yeah sure. But despite his stats, I wouldn't consider him the best of all time. He had the best car by far, for the better part of a decade. And despite what people say about his teammates being better, let's not forget he had Bottas on his team for 4 of his 7 championships.

Max is a great driver and I don't want to take anything away from him, but the problem with F1 is that the team with the best car wins. There is no competition. Hamilton won 7 world titles while he had the best car. F1 is 80 percent car and 20 percent driver, and it's always been the case. This why the U.S. Nascar drivers say that F1 is a joke.

No disrespect to the obvious skill of Max Verstappen, but this is not a statistic to celebrate. The FIA is charged with balancing the field, in part by applying meaningful restrictions and enforcing them. Their failure to do so has led to the runaway dominance of Red Bull - a team with essentially unlimited resources, and one that also happens to boast one of the best drivers of the present era. People complain about total dominance (as they did in Hamilton's day) for good reason - it's frustratingly boring.
