Best custodian line "I always HATED you"
2:25 the marines malevolent got lucky the Custode was wounded, or they would’ve been slaughtered to a man.
Why? Part where marines malevolent turn on the custodies is nonsense. We don’t see any such occurrence. Nor are we told that name of the chapter that translates into the system. We are told the color of their ship… which is tired yellow. This could be a number of chapters, such as libators and Marauders. Libators are far better fit then marines malevolent in my opinion.
The short story ends as the custodies tells the captain to get in line and tells him that HE WILL, help me deliver the gen-tech where it needs to go.
We don’t see what happens after that.
Furthermore number of tyranids isn’t stated. Mere that it is a tendril and a small contingent of astarte’s ships were able to defeat it AFTER they lost cohesion because of the death of the swarm lord.
Which lives lot to interpretation. In my opinion, it was lot more then a million.
The Marines Malevolent never killed the Custodian lol. The short story ended with them meeting him, no clue where Majorkill got that false lore from

you could have added the moment when a human general , Constantine Valdor , Jagatai khan and the first capitan of the blood angels were in a ship in course to the front line and the valdor said "give us the order lord" , "the capitan has zone comand" "im here to make sure of the astartes and rest of the forces cooperate , the general should have the command" yea a son of the emperor , right hand of the emperor and possibly the right hand of the Sanguinius himself lead by a mortal , all 3 looked at him and after a short break the human said "with all the respect , id rather charge the heretics butt naked then command the 3 of you " after that Jegatai laughed , Valdor SMILED and the the capitan chuckled under his breath , the Khan said "you are a good man Burr"
not much of a custode moment but a funny moment non the less

I also like how that interaction between the custodian and the kid who was asking him questions also has Zeffon there, he is a great character. He steps in and uses a bit of tact to hopefully keep the poor kid from being traumatized, so for me, a point for the blood angels. :)
That last one with Ra Endymion was literally the moment with Rorschach in Watchmen and the legendary, "I'm not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with ME!". Imagine being a demon of the warp and you get thrust into one of the only physical bodies that you can never hope to corrupt. #warplife
Custodes are the giga Chads of 40k, I love any Custodes lore.
I just think it's hilarious that there's times where even the custodes will crack and either bust a gut at a funny enough joke or get up to some shenanigans just to amuse themselves.
I like to imagine that the blood games are actually just a cover for the Custodians getting so bored on patrol duty around the palace that they'll get up to the galaxy's grandest prank war imagineable just to get their jollies out of the work every so often.

I remember one rather funny moment from the book cypher where a fortune teller near the imperial palace watched as a merchant got crushed by a rock that had fallen from the imperial palace. Skip a couple of years and she goes “oh Deja vu” when another rock lands in same exact same spot and kills the merchants now grown up son. I don’t know why this is so funny but it just makes me crack a smile.
I actually can’t remember if the custodes was present or not but I can easily imagine him just shrugging it off like if you noticed someone cleaning the window outside your office, if he was.

Only logical thing for the Imperium to do that is for Guilliman to punish the Marines Malevolent by having them go on a penitent crusade, except they'll be heading straight for a Tyranid hive fleet.

Valdor is not the only one who can have fun, there is that one scene where Valdor and the Khan were talking with a mortal general and they basically say that he has the authority and can order them and the general says that he would rather charge the traitors naked than order them to do anything. Valdor almost smiled then.

Custodians have this larger than life, mystic "aura/feeling" to them.. It is kinda like looking at something godly.. That is why I love them.

Make a weekly planer using the cosplay models for every month in the planer. This will allow the planer to be portable and probably will get a lot of dude hide the weekly plans from anyone who isn't a WH40k fan.

There is one case where a Custodes' obstinacy led to his downfall; In the "Garro: Sword of Truth (Audio Book)" when Khorarinn was dealing with a refugee flotilla that also had loyalist World Eaters and Emperor's Children, along with some White Scars.
Khorarinn immediately distrusted the "loyalists" and was prepared to destroy the entire flotilla at the first sign of trouble. On the other hand he saw the White Scars as loyal.
In truth, the White Scars were traitors and killed Khorarinn and the Emperor's Children in an ambush. Though the traitors would be wiped out, the only survivor was World Eater Macer Varren whom would join the Knights Errant under Garro.

I just started building my first 10th edition army: Custodes. Great timing.
Also that custodes who made that boy cry was already crying prior and i think there was a blood angel with the custodes trying to cheer him up talking about his own parents and once the kid asked the custodes he said what he said and pretty much was like fuck off boy and left

I'm still surprised the Marines Malevolent were able to finish off the remaining Custodes though. It doesn't seem likely considering how powerful they're lored up to be even injured 20 of those guys should've been dead even with the golden boys full of holes and gashes. It's also surprising that the Emperor didn't step it to help out these marooned stodes 🤔.
