Those skeletons? You can still process them. Build the conveyor so low to the ground that you can slide things onto it, then use an object to push the skeleton onto the conveyor. Miniguns happen to be able to push anything, so drop the minigun, then hold it and wave it around to push the skeleton. Yes, miniguns push anything that can move, even cars. You can walk around Jamaica Plain pushing the cars to within your workshop boundaries for loads of steel.
Thanks!
Cool tip. I always use artillery flares to push cars bit by bit
Wow
Make video!!
Lmaoo I’m going to reinstall right now ! Thanks bro
The recycler is useful when you have a lot of supply lines. Supply lines will share base components throughout your settlements but NOT junk items. The recycler quickly breaks stuff down and you just have to connect it to a conveyor workshop storage. Just makes it so you can ensure all your settlements have access to all your resources.
I like to mass produce Minutemen outfits, laser muskets, and combat armor. And people. Because Synth Factory mod.
Having poor eyesight, I mass produce vault-tech coveralls for my settlers. That way I kill fewer of them, mistaking them for raiders and gunners in a fire fight.
even with good eye sight, thats a pretty good idea
Michael Hall I've never managed to attack a settler thinking it was a raider... maybe because I actually pay attention in a fight.
Rex, it's not a matter of attention, it is a matter of eyesight.
Eyesight =/= Attention
I also have not shot a settler but his solution is smart for anyone with that same issue.
@@michaelhall9845 Thanks for the idea!!
Gotta say, I REALLY like that warehouse at the start of the vid. Looks like a repaired piece of pre-war machinery - Realistic and convincing. In a world where every other Fallout 4 CZcamsr uploads "luxury resorts" made entirely out of concrete foundations, metal walls, potted plants, and high-tech lights, that's a pretty big thing.
I think that the Boston airport would be perfect for a factory build, lots of space for conveyor belt but not enough space for a settlement, so you can make a giant factory and then have a guy go between the factory and other places so you can mass produce things like annoying
I would personally have it make lots of teddy bears to use with the junk gun, because death by teddy bear is the only death for me
* like ammo
hahahahhahhaha good one
Mass producing clothing is definitely useful to me, since I like to give my settlers different uniforms, depending on their jobs.
If you close your eyes and listen it almost feels like you're watching Scott Manley
You should RP an industrial magnate who wants to bring proper Capitalism back to the wasteland.
nice idea
Hehehe, I am planing to do that when I'm done questing.
use the junk jet to launch pre-war money at people.
Jerrod Lapham "CAPITALISM RULES" **Thoonk**
And name it Trump build?
the power armor one is actually more useful for the T-51 if you ask me... I just never seem to find T-51s, I just end up missing the level-point that they're common because of how quickly you progress to the T-60 and X-01s.
good point
yeah T51 is really good as the T60 mostly only good for all the unique pieces but X-01s are just better in everyway T51 is good because of lower costs to repair
There's a gauranteed set of T-51 around the northside of the old north church. I believe there's also a set in the containers near the National Guard Armory, but I don't know if that one is gauranteed to be T-51.
at the armory i have gotten T-60 and X-01 so far, possible a 45 but i don't remember
There's the one inside, which is leveled, but if you stand facing the door into that area, then go behind it and to the left, you'll see some crates. Inside one of those is a power armor box and terminal. The armor there seems guaranteed to be T-51.
ok you definitley have the sexiest looking Fallout 4 I have ever seen! Your mods have the game looking CRISP!
+Derek Kunze thank you! Check thr mod list for what they are

Just what I was thinking
I thought you were using the texture pack, which I see is free on steam
I enjoy the straightforward, no-nonsense approach to the way you create content. Clean camera shots, concise editing, crisp audio, and direct delivery. Video structure is outlined without seeming contrived or rehearsed. It's like getting a quick lesson from one of your favorite professors. Liked and subscribed. Keep up the good work.
He’s such a good youtuber, shouldnt have stopped, just found his channel
Another four years and this is my exact feeling. Hope man is doing well
Actually "Lead" can be gathered from Weights, Pencils (hehehe), and a couple of other junk items that you find in the world. If you have the Weightless Junk mod it no problem gathering these items. It may take some time but it is doable. Also there are some types of ammo that are very expensive and the Ammunition plant dose make getting them a bit easier. The .50 cal, Electromagnet Cartridge are a couple that can be costly and I have found personally that the Ammo plant helps with the cost of them.
YES he talks about the auto butcher and the robot dissesembler, those are a MUST for me, i downloaded CONQUEST just so i could build settlements in the waste so i can break bodies up, looking at YOU Quincy and Hub
I'm not very big with contraptions although they do look very cool, but that snow. that's what I want on my game
Love the video I never even knew manufacturing extended existed and I'm more excited than ever to try out some new factory designs. Keep up the great videos😆
It's a setting in the workbench vacuum hopper to pull things for all connected workbenches. Default it is off. Check your terminal connected to it!
i know this is kinda late, but I just found your video. the one manufacturing contraption i always make is a this. Vacuum hopper > recycler > component sorter > ammo station > workshop storage. the components that dont go to the ammo station, also go into their own workshop storage.
I put a container in front of the hopper, and when i come home from an adventure, i take everything I don't want, and toss it into the container and let the ammo and components fly. It's awesome!
This is very helpful! Thanks!
Thank you the only useful video so far of what I was looking for.
Well made video for a relatively small youtuber. You seem comfortable with a camera and it's evident that you enjoy playing the games and making videos on them. I can see this channel growing quickly
+Matt G hasn't happened yet...I've been going a while :) I'm too inconsistent on games
you forgot to mention that you could make vaulttec launch boxes to make bottlecap mines a mine that normally would be rare because vault tec launch boxes arent really easy to find in mass but that not only makes a profit but lets you make a fuck load of mines too :P
I have 6,000 fusion cores thanks to you
you wont in survival mode :) you will be too heavy
Generic VR He could just keep them in chests obviously...
With Manufacturing Extended, you can use a terminal to set Component Extractors and Object Extractors to pull from other settlements.
I have seen an even more extended use for the Auto Butcher. You can use the bones to make soap, blood for stimpacks, and the meat for food. Just thought I'd share because that can be pretty good for some people too.
There needs to be a manufacturing quest line added. Perhaps tie it into the Corvega Assembly Plant quest and make the factory components really expensive to build so it isn't so trivial, or even limited to a new workshop space just outside the assembly plant. Then manufacturing would feel like a true accomplishment and take time to achieve.
Even better: hit the lunchboxes to open them, take item from inside, send the lunchbox through another conveyor piece like an elevator and it comes out closed again. Repeat. Apparently they stop having items in them after doing this a few times but you can still close up the lunchboxes again and sell them along with the stuff from inside too.
Really like how your game looks with the winter season mod!
happy i stumbled upon you. Subscribed!
I did not know about manufacturing extended, actually. Going to download that for my next playthrough.
about a quarter way through the video i was desperately searching for your ENB (found it, thanks for that link) because I haven't been playing with one and wow does it make a difference
Some perfect little mods thanks for share.
Welcome
I'm new to this channel and i really like the 'barry normal film' style intro music. nice touch
really wish ps4 mods had been approved x.x
spencer lawrence they are now ;D
Vault Boy but in a way that makes any even slightly advanced modding impossible
XBOX are bad
@@edenem what
Snek I think he’s high
That animal and human grinder is the COOLEST THING EVER
too bad because of sonys stupidity we couldnt get the butcher but oh well how often am i going to be destroying corpses anyway lol im very much happy with everything else including the recycler :P
The Vacuum Hopper is part of the game, no mod needed.
Also, you do not need to place any item in the hopper. Whatever items you have in a storage container nearby will be sucked out by the hopper automatically.
Conveyor Workshop Storage is also part of the game and no mod is required.
And the vacuum idea to suck out useless junk...fucking brilliant. You CANNOT imagine how many times I had to just go and manually grab all the freakin leftovers from the factories, but with vacuum ~cleaners~ hoppers, you can actually do that better! Thanks a lot mate!
Thanks for the video, I'll have to play with these.
What are you using for the snow? It's perfect. I looked in your mod list, and the closest thing I found was NAC.
He's a Synth
I put together a great ammunition factory that sorts components into hoppers and has selectors for creating all the different ammo types. No Manufacturing extended required. I pump out all my own ammo (aside of .45-70 and 7.62) resulting in nice breaks from questing while I churn out the ammo.
The easiest place to find lead is to pick up every_single pencil you see. They're everywhere and have inconsequential weight. Additionally, there are a few spots where a group of weights and weightlifting gear will spawn. Oddles of lead with those 80-lb barbells and curlbars!
Best thing about the lunchbox option in my opinion is the fact that they are weightless, so you can take as many as you want wherever and whenever you want to, where when you use purified water or vegetables you need to make designated trips in order to do so
For the record, there is a LOT of lead in the game. You said it's scarce, but any place where you can find dumbells and barbells (which are made of lead) will net you hundreds and hundreds of lead. Off the top of my head, Atom Cats Garage I think, and also at that place with the huge Mr. Gutsy statue (forget what it's called), there's a gym there as well... and there's several others, but yeah, there is actually a lot of lead in the game.
not to mention pencils which are equally everywhere remotly schoollike as well as tons of other places. aAs an added benefit of scrounging them - they don't weigh anything either. So if you're using portable recyckler mod, you don't actually want to scrap these while in your inventory because then it'll wind up weighing 0.3 lbs instead of 0.
Another use for the factories stuff is set up a load of gunner cages that open into am enclosed space with a conveyer that pulls them towards a hopper. Kill them off, hopper harvests them and spits out the loot and stuff, then you can sort and process everything. I done it on a huge scale with about 30 cages per conveyer with 10 conveyers. Great fun to watch it just doing it's thing with hundred of items flowing along conveyer belts to be processed
Wow wish PS4 had mods, love the snow and winter look
Koakoa45 ps4 does have mods
PC*
First time I see one of your videos. Suscribed right away.
There are a bunch of items you can build which are actually pretty rare to find in stashes and containers ro in trader inventories. Like Vault-tec lunchboxes that you need for bottlecap-mines. You can make these in your factory, even getting the surprise bonus object that comes out when you open them. I should say that alone makes it usefull.
doesn't the explosive mill allow you to build cannon balls too? or is there still a better way to get those (not that I use heavy weapons)
i looked at so many videos and as usual people for some reason just don't understand how to explain things properly. thank you
TheAdiposeTV good video.
Cheers Owen
I have to disagree with you on the explosive mill, being less useful than doing it manually. While I agree with you that Workshop Extended added quite a few things that SHOULD HAVE BEEN in part of Contraptions DLC. Even a pure vanilla play through with the more limited manufacturing options of just Contraptions honestly does grant the player something they never had before... true multitasking!
Yes it could be easier to make explosives at the chemistry station because one has access to all the workshop inventories liked by provisioners, but can you make these explosives at the chemisrty station while simultaneously constructing a building on the other side of the settlement? No of course not. However with a little bit of for thought and preparations, you can make several dozen baseball grenades, fragmentation mines, etc... while getting something(s) else accomplished and hopefully having more fun than staring at the the Chem crafting screen. :p That in my opinion is the real functionality that was added by manufacturing in Contraptions, while mods like Kensington's make a good thing SO much better.
to build off of this idea, you can also reliably gather more armor bits if you want to have uniformed troopers. Maybe this isn't the case for everyone, but I always had the issue of ending up with 50 left leg pieces and 5 of everything else when I had to rely on stores.
so true.
IIRC, the explosives mill also allows you to produce missiles and mini-nukes. And it can pull from the shared workshop storage, you just need to use a terminal to enable the feature on the "hopper"
I don't use the explosives mill much (don't use explosives at all, really) but I find the ammo mill to be quite useful. Most of the ballistic rounds use 1 lead and 1 fertilizer to make 10 or 20 bullets (have not checked the gain in a while) and keep producing even when you're quite a distance away, so I can keep producing bullets for my rifle while I'm off harvesting carrots and razorgrain for my butcher mill/fertilizer farm or scrapping weapons and armor from my raider/gunner slaughterdome. Then I can collect my bullets and start the cycle again.
If you set up a settlement correctly, you can even keep the factory running when you're on the other side of the Commonwealth (or off in DLC land) and then you can use an OBJECT extractor to pull the bullets from the shared workshop inventory, into the local workshop.
Does the component extractor sort out junk items with the selected material and scrap it? Like if u have a junk item that gives u maybe steel and screws and u need the steel, does it store the remaining screws of this item or are those lost?
I just subscribed because this material helped me thank you
the thing most ppl don't understand about making ammo is u can only buy so much of the really good ammo (2mm,alien blaster rounds ect) so it acually is faster and more economical to make them by the thousands via a factory
madscientistshusta Finally some one who understands
Great video!
I loved your role plays keep it up
I really like your enb settings, are you using one in particular or just tweeked? Any recommendations?? Tnx
Sorters are nice for pulling tools out for Vault 81.
I built around a river and use had separators that harvest corpse from my traps. Keeping everything except the meat which ended up getting dumped in the river to be swept away.
first video on this channel i see the graphics in the game and i see the mods and im like is this even fallout or a separate game jesus it looks more beautiful then mine
It seems like this is the way to arm and armor all your settlements. Also, I wish I had more room in Hangman's Ally. There are so many bodies there that I've drug out.
The voice... So soothing... Loving the content dude 😂
Mad scientist role playing build...yes!
Just found you, i really like your videos, keep on the good content!
+Farlay thanks farlay
I just watched this video and subscribed within seconds - because of your music choices
Liked the video, was disappointed with contraptions dlc because of the lack of functionality. If someone made a recycle contraption that would breakdown ammo or explosives I could see that being very useful.
As far as ideas on how to use the ones that you highlighted, you could build a series of cages to capture critters free them into a enclosure with a conveyor access so that when you kill the captured critters you can just toss them onto the conveyor to a butcher contraption. I think that you would have to capture dogs since molerats can dig out of the enclosure and the other critters are to big to pick up I think. Thus is born the dog processing plant.
Look forward to more in the future.
i plan on mainly using rad stags, i never eat dog haha.
I thought they would be to heavy to pick up and put on the conveyor.
+T. Pistole no i dont think they are, i havent played in a bit so im not totally sure but im pretty sure you can,
Actually, you don't have to pick up the whole body. if you shoot off the head and send it through, it despawns the rest of the body.
I use that kind of setup, but I'm grinding raiders, gunners, super mutants, radstags, and brahmin. All considered (and scrapped), it normally pays for all it's repairs (except for the carrots and razorgrain), plus it outputs enough other resources for me to crank out a ton of bullets and keep expanding it.
how many things can you hook up to 1 terminal at a time and if i want to have 5 ammo makers going at 1 time how do i set them up so they each do different ammo at the same time with 1 terminal
I wish that the component extractor pulled components from the workshop AND other workshops connected by trade routes so you don't have to move it manually back to that workshop.
10:55, that moment when you casually butcher a human as if it were an animal XD
Usefulness, or lack thereof is one of the main reasons I've not done anything with the workshops yet. Also, my current playthrough is a roamer, no settlement, no workshop. :) But this does give some info and ideas for my next settlements. :) Thanks for the info on the mod, Kentington puts out some good stuff.
Is the cannibal your next RP? I'm so excited! That will be fun. :)
There is lead available other than in shipments. There are weight rooms at Atomic Galleria and at a location in The Glowing Sea. There are weights there made out of lead. And the advantage of explosive factory is that you don't need to invest in the explosive perks to make explosives.
But it isn't renewable.
If you set up a viable sustainable adhesive farm, then it may be a good idea to use that same system making lunchboxes to make wonderglue. I've seen it made for essentially free after initial investment, then sell for 20-30 caps depending on charisma. If you've got an adhesive farm set up anyway for one reason or another that could be a great moneymaking tool.
You may possibly have the best voice on the internet, let alone great content. I do believe i'll sub. :)
what's the minuteman armor mod you are using? I looked through the mod list but I couldn't find it. is it part of UCO?
www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6443/?
Excellent video, I've just subscribed. :-)
Serious inquiry: Can you cover the diverting switch thing at 7:50 in a little more detail?
It was such a cool concept but you're right on, the cost-benefit breakdown just doesn't make sense without mods. You end up using 500 caps worth of junk to make 20 caps worth of ammo or whatever you want to make. Might as well just sale the junk and buy what you want.
its to keep it balanced i think. The dlc doesnt seem to have much in the way of level blocks so allowing someone to industrialize their commonwealth at any real point before the end-game then a majority of the challenge, along with the core game loop, are disrupted and gone
The fun way to use the lunch boxes is to make it so you hit and open them and reset them over and over with a hopper and get endless items out of it to get other resources.
Whats the Armor (MOD) your using?
Question: So with the problem with explosives and how it cant use supply lines, is that the case for all of the factory machines
How do I put the manufacturing extended on my PS4? Really want it for the recycler but don’t know how to add it.
aah wo is me. ps4 user here so can only dream of how AWESOME an auto butcher is. great video!
is the cooler a mod with the list of crafting items?
Do you have the mod list still for this? Mainly the menu selection
What mod are you using that made it winter? It looks amazing.
What the contraption dlc was missing to me was a ammo press that would transform a caliber of ammo into another caliber. That would have been so helpful for a new playthrough of the game. Per example the ability to change all types of ammo into 5mm. This way you could actually make a heavy gunner character using the mini gun as a viable option from the beginning of the game.
+vingag128 I agree
Does the component extract only extract from junk in the workshop or does it break down everything in the workshop? If it's the latter, I worry it would break down ammo into lead and fertilizer to use the fertilizer and lead to make ammo...
An extra thing with the skeleton corpses that you can't pickup, I managed to fanagle a skeleton into the auto-butcher...it still doesn't work. It just jams up in the front of the machine so you can't get rid of them without console commands.
Why the frak the auto-butcher is not in the workshop DLC. GENIUS
+DarthTellor it's fun too 😀
what armor is that?? like the militia stuff with a bandolier?
my only problem is the recycle thing i have it on and i leave the place come back and the stuff is all over the place i have set up so it goes into the workshop . it makes a mess when it does that . any ideal on how to stop it form doing that ?
what mod are you using for the inventory?
What clothes do you use to look so cool
I do so enjoy your videos sir
I wish that you could like make weapons, create a caravan of some type and go down to Diamond City with your Brahmin or whatever and then sell your product and then come back.
If you can use the explosive mill to make explosives beyond your skill level then I suppose it could actually be fairly usefull. I do t know if it does I haven't done much with fallout 4
is the "extended" you mentioned a mod?
The explosives mill, I'm just guessing, won't give you the Exp you get from making things yourself either.
Around 9:18 you claim that the machines can't pull from other settlements, but you can totally use the computer you have set up to instruct the Manufacturing Extended extractors to pull from the entire network. I have a separate line set up just to pull items from other settlements into me factory settlement's inventory for ease of use.
TheAdiposeTv what is the setup you used exactly to make the build?
1. around 5:00 instead of worrying about things getting pulled out in alphabetical order, you could make 2 extractors.. put lead in 1, and fertilizer in the other one, and use an intersection belt piece (comes with the mod) to join the 2 materials into 1 lane..
(PS: theres a youtuber named Lunar Nexus, check out his fallout 4 vid for a pretty crazy way to build this and make good use of the machines.)
+Zolfried true...but some things need 3 ingredients... So then you need 3 extractors...and slowly this becomes less automated and more like just doing it yourself
could you use the scaper station with the recycler
