I've had hypertension for over 30 years taking all types of meds for it with no success (on Amlodipine now). After a month of magnesium carbonate (700 mg daily) my bp has gone from 150/90 down to an average of 130/80. I'm still on Amlodipine but it never did any good. I love the "Calm" drink for magnesium.

      Wow! That's impressive!
This is one of the reasons I have just started Magnesium citrate.
Am also on Amlodipine plus Losartan.....they are awful, and give me life changing/debilitating side effects, as do all the other blood pressure meds.
When you say 700mg a day, is that elemental magnesium? Also is this in one large dose or divided doses throughout the day?
Did you start on 700mg or work up to that?
Have you managed to get off Amlodipine?
I'd be really grateful for any info you could give....thanks.

Losartan did that to me. I quit using it and added magnesium citrate plus some Lily’s keto-friendly dark chocolate every day. Also increased my meditation time to 1hour and 15 minutes a day. My blood pressure is perfect now. (Usually around 117/66) And no Rx meds. I feel so much better.

Diet is the key to keeping your blood pressure at a good range... Magnesium is not the only mineral that helps lower blood pressure... Eating fruits, veggies, and other healthy foods that are high in calcium, magnesium, and potassium are the 3 key minerals to help sustain blood pressure... I was a victim of high blood pressure a couple years ago... Did I see a doctor? No... I took matters in my own hands and I refused to become a victim of blood pressure medication... Medication for me doesn't help the root of the problem... After only about 2 and half months of simple research, good diet, and intaking these 3 minerals on a everyday basis, has significantly dropped my blood pressure to normal range... And also lost 35lbs in that time period☺... Forgot to mention, eating raw garlic n ginger root helps alot with blood pressure, since they are both great natural blood thinners... Raw turmeric root also works miracles... They all helped me throughout my journey... Now I'm currently dedicating my lifestyle to good diet and fitness... Cooking and prepping your own meals at home is a huge advantage... And I also check my blood pressure on a everyday basis... Investing in a $40 blood pressure monitor is a great investment to have... There are alot of foods that lower blood pressure... Just do some simple research... You'll be surprised what you'll find useful by just googling... I'm always trying to find better ways to combat high blood pressure... But so far, I'm very successful in this department👍

Wow. I believe this actually. In the ICU we give large doses of Magnesium IV while monitoring blood pressure and heart rate in real time ( art lines, monitors). We know if we run the medication to fast it will " tank" the patients b/p. So what an ingenious way to use that known phenomenon but in a gentle gradual way. I really appreciate Thomas that you go to the actual journal article, look at n numbers, look at meta analysis, scrutinize what you are reading. As opppse to pulling up scientific America and accepting it as an adequate way to critically analyze a topic.

How does this relate to Autophagy?
If HGH and IGF-1 are increased while mTOR is decreased, how does this relate towards muscle growth and longevity? I have heard that there is a trade-off between high or lower levels of HGH and

Great video, is possible to consume the dosis by eating vegetable?

    • @SlavkoMiladinovic
      @SlavkoMiladinovic Před 5 lety +1

The answer to your question is, Yes, vegetables can provide you with enough magnesium dosage, you'll just have to do some experiments to find out how much with the use of a blood pressure monitor. For some people, it might be difficult to uptake the magnesium mineral form leafy foods. Thomas included links to studies and papers; such as, Live Science that claims "whole grains, nuts, fish, meat, dark green vegetables, legumes and many fruits contain significant amounts of magnesium."
A good experiment is taking your blood pressure and keeping charts on it prior to adding extra foods (so you have a current baseline of info); morning, day and night; before workouts & activities, and immediately after workouts & activities, and one hour after activities & workouts. Then continue monitoring your blood pressure, but this time with added magnesium from vegetables. Then you can compare the charts and know how much of a difference and how long it took to make a difference. You might even increase your consumption of magnesium containing vegetables based on your charts as time goes by. Also try adding calcium containing food with your magnesium containing food, since supplement companies say calcium helps deliver [or uptake] magnesium into the body.
If your blood pressure is within good range, then there is not much to worry about.
Thomas might answer your question in his periodic "Question and Answer" videos, like the one from last night:)

Without knowing your complete health condition and lifestyle; and if you live in a free country then try testosterone supplementation. If you don't live in a free country then you'll need a bio-chem doctor or fly to Mexico were people have the freedom to supplement with hormones, including HCG.
If you're willing to share some personal info, I might be able to help you understand why it is re-occurring, if it is hormone related, which it is because it is chemicals that make the heart contract, not the brain's electrical impulses. Does your A-fib occur during stressful situations? Does it occur out of the blue? What time of day does it occur the least ever since you started experiencing it?
Keep charts (notes with date, time, place and activity) on when it occurs; during meals, watching TV or internet videos (which type of videos and during which exact scenes that it occurred?).
      Good luck!
