You tackled a severe job. Your machete work does a fast job on seedling trees and I admired your besting the Johnson Grass clumps with a mattock. A lot of people leave them partially cut down, when they can't figure out how to finish them off. You may have missed the idea of Landscape Archeology, working on an overgrown yard and refinding what was originally existing. It is almost startling to see you find a front door, a whole fence line, even the appearance of a house and a walkway...and you are in the front yard. Nice work facing all the overgrowth. Hope to see the video if you also do the back.

The neighbors we see in the video did they make any comments or were they pleasant when they saw what you were doing? As always, you guys killed it and you’re lucky to have a dad like that. ✊

The front yard looks great but what about the back yard? I don't understand doing the front and not the rest of the yard. Maybe in another video?? This was a big mess to clean up and it looks great now. Just needs to be finished.
It could be just a city violation or eyesore. So they might have them only do the front for cosmetic appealing to the neighborhood or to resolve neighbor complaint of high grass. Or like you mentioned they may save it for another video
@@yogisadventurez The reason I mention the back yard is that mice, rats, and other pests will be in that mess in the back yard also and are a danger to the neighborhood. Not to mention snakes, etc. Just seems beneficial to clean the entire property.
FYI- Depending on the state that you are working in, sometimes the Backyard is considered PRIVATE PROPERTY whereas the front yard is in open view of the public. No privacy is expected from viewing or work for such abandoned/forgotten properties. If no one is available to give you permission to enter a backyard, then you could be fined for trespassing. I am retired, but I had a rental property clean-up business. Learned from experience.
Great job, I was in the business some 40 years ago, and I received a call from a realtor about two yards that had not been touched in over 7 years. The 1st one I founan a ant hill the size of a 6 yard dump truck load the second had a pool in the back could not see. Both were cut with a wizard 11 hp 38" cut Tractor type riding mover.

Sometimes they loose the house and the bank doesn’t care for it, until they are ready to sell it
No HOA, or it would've been done long ago. What I can't understand is how the neighbors tolerated it for so long.

If the neighbors cared they would have cut it. It wasn’t that wide. If each neighbor cut another 20 feet
it actually only took us 2 hours, we had plenty of neighbors come out and thank us for our work!
