Thank you!!! I didn't remove my blade exactly the way you did (my blade was flush with the top of the shaft). However, I was able to get a pair of vise grips on the shaft below the blade and then turn the fan blade like you did. Worked like a charm. Thanks again brother!

Thanks, I'm right now trying to remove 2 conderser fan blades on dometic harrier inverter caravan rooftop aircon.
Tubular fans, had one self destruct, the other i just crushed by hand, very brittle. Plastic construction.
    Have the centres to remove.
    Same deal, rusted shaft.
I've been tapping/banging the fan base and have moved it 2mm now frozen.
Great idea using a spanner on the shaft recess .
Didn't think of that and the sand paper.
Outback Australia here and no service for aircon within a days drive...👍

THANKS!!!!! I guess I would have figured out to turn the shaft instead of the blade eventually but I always go to CZcams first. Everyone else is spending money on pullies and other things which would have taken hours to find one or days from amazon. Your method took all of 2 minutes. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!

    Thanks!
This got me most of the way there, but then it stopped making progress- I added some white lithium grease and that took it the rest of the way.

I tried that , but unfortunately it's not like your video. With the new motor the flat part of the shaft is longer. Is there a certain depth that the the fan could go down to ?

holy sh#t! that fan is a @#$@% f@$#r to take off. I ended up having to hack the old motor into pieces and cut down the shaft. I was able to get the fan to twist fairly easily around the shaft but she just didn't want to come off it took me an hour and a half and those pully pullers from home depot didn't help at all.

i used an air hammer with a punch attachment just smaller than the shaft ran that sucker right out

Thanks Bro - I have been taking them down as scrap but the new guys that took over my scrap yard won’t take the fan blades and I have to figure out how to do it. Have a good one.
