THIS series clearly deserves to be in an anthology, leagues above being dull drivel, and proof of why Rhasulhague should make an unexpected comeback in canon.
The exchange between the Clanners and the entire ambush scene was masterfully written. I hope we get to see more asymmetrical shenanigans from the locals, and more Clanners slowly re-learning how to fight in the Inner Sphere.
Thanks for the Episode Mage and keep up the awesome work! - the parts with Damien and his secretary were my favorites in the previous readings, I hope we'll hear some more of those - did a really good job of showing Damiens uncanny charisma and manipulation skills... or was he truly empathetic towards her...? That question really kept me on my toes :D

Glad to see this series starting up again! This was a good introduction chapter. As a suggestion, maybe put another half-second pause between some of your lines? You're generally good on this, but sometimes a character's line or a paragraph's description could use a little more time to land before moving onto the next one, especially in emotional scenes like the prologue.

Also wanted to thank you for bringing the lore to life! Rasalhague will never bow to any occupant. And I say that as a Lyran turned Merc, a weird lootgoblin crew that stood with the defenders in the invasion corridors, including the Republic. Saying that, Twist of the Knife was the big reason that got me into writing BattleTech fanfic, even if I focus more on the overall narrative than individual stories.
Will be listening to every single one. After your battletech reading you did some time back featuring Archer Christiphori, Ill listen to anything battletech from you and this piece you made has me excited for more. It feels like how it should. I drive long distances for work and I dont know how many times I have listened to that book. Forgetting the name of the book but I could probably call out most details in the story 😂
