infinite did real good on both elite and brute ai, they feel similar to the best ai for both in the series (reach elites and halo 3 brutes)

funny how the Brutes only did slightly better once they started using human weapons
@Donal Tronp smiling 343i made enemies more challenging by switching out for better weapons if their default weapons aren't fit for the situation. I have seen Brutes and Elites grab better weapons to try to kill you. Lucky Marines too can look and switch for better weapons if you give them crappy weapons
@@worldwanderer91 Which I absolutely love, I saw one of the red elites grab a Brute weapon and was like "Huh, they can do that now?" 343 have really nailed the AI and character design in this game
@@wumbosaurus9121 I kind of hate it. Seeing human fire a weapon clearly not designed for human hands and 10× the human actual height is just irritating for me haha! I have ocd.
Maybe that's the reason the brutes in Halo 2 started using human weapons, they love human weapons and how effective they were 😅.
The AI in halo infinite are so amazingly done. In terms of art style, dialogue, combat system. They did incredibly well. Well done 343i

I love the elites in infinite. Riminds me of watching the civil war in high charity.
I feel like the elites suffer from sheer lack of weapon variety. The repeater can be a good gun but only when used properly. And the AI doesn’t shoot often enough or accurately enough for it to really live up to its potential. Maybe it would be OP but I would love to see the return of some other more effective covenant weapons that they could use.
Even while wielding weaker weapon, Elites still fight pretty well, Imagine Banished is led by Sanghelli rather than Jiralhanae
Imagine in a future DLC The Weapon tells us she's picking up unusual chatter from a far off distance and so Echo takes us there and we see this. The Arbiter and his forces coming to the Aid of the Humans after Locke and his fire team helped them take back Senghelios (I'm sure I misspelled that) a giant field of battle where the elites are out numbered 3 to 1 and this is where we finally get ODSTs to come join the battle along side Chief and tye Arbiter' s forces.

Arbiter has politics to do so he might not e able to come. But what if he sends Rtas to assist humans. 3 to 1 is an equal fight to Rtas
the fact that here we see Elites pushing away brutes with meeles, and that it does seems to be doing damage to the brutes, only shows how terrifying Atriox and the chieftains in his clan that decided to join them, truly are (that cutscene of the brutes wrecking special ops elites). They must have been warriors on a different league, even for their own kind

I think those elites were just an executioner squad.

Elite: Halo 1,2,3, Infinite (cool chic badass)
Halo 4,5 (Ferocious Beasts)
Brute: Halo 2,3 (ferocious gorilla)
Halo infinite (A race that has lost its homeland but does not give up)

This is a firefight scenario between both Banished forces, they are training for a potential mass scaled invasion against the Marines and the former banished FOB's.
All weapons are using none lethal rounds, while you may get a slight sore you won't die.

I wonder how much different these battles would be if we could tweak how aggressive the AI would fire their weapons
I love the elite AI but I think the brutes (especially the minors) are a bit too static and slow, as well as a bit too human like. I'd liked to have seem them be more aggressive and ready to throw away their weapon and charge on all 4s and just be more beastial, it would make them a lot more threatening.
I know, while the AI has plenty of animations and can even switch weapons on the fly, which is a first for Halo, several AI battles starring brutes show them not that aggressive. Even in Gamecheat13’s vids they have a habit of standing or walking around facing an enemy without shooting. Brutes with commandos kicked ass when they actually kept up the pressure. It’s also sad that brute melee animations are slower than most other melee animations and they’re easily stunned before they can perform the melee. Even marine melee can stagger a brute now. While they look cool and I overall enjoy the personality of Halo infinite’s AI, it’s sad watching a brute captain get slapped around by an elite minor.
Do you think they will fix the ai problems in their next game or DLC?
I've noticed different classes of Brutes will respond differently to enemies like they have individual personalities. Berserkers will close the gap quickly and prefer getting close to enemies even when they have weapons, the same is with the Ultra Elites. Many times they'll put away whatever weapon I give them and rush in with their plasma sword.

I’d love to see more NPC fights that involve the cool Spartan NPC you found. Maybe a fire team of NPC Spartans taking on a banished base? Or multiple Spartans and marines fighting the banished

I wish they had something like this in the game, you walk to a Banished FOB and maybe sometimes you can see an elite and a brute having a fist fight, that would be a nice detail.

I love that they made the elites in infinite classic honorable warriors! They're rad and they remind me a bit of halo 2 elites. I love that all the enemies speak English again! It adds so much personality and makes it really fun to fight them! You really start to like em in combat! 😆
Also, it's funny to hear them say "the banished do not fire on themselves!" As they slaughter each other! 😆

The only faulty thing about the ai in this game is that they dont use vehicles outside of the ones they are scripted to use (like certain ghosts and when spawned in wraiths). In some of these videos there is a some vehicle chilling out and neither side touches it. They also do this in the campaign.

Would really love to see the elites with plasma rifles, plasma repeaters and carbines to spice things up.
I personally always preferred the Elites. They are often more intelligent, more tactical, disciplined, honor-driven, civil, and agile. These attributes make them the most equal to that of the human race during conflict which I think is great as opposed to the other alien species that we see in the games. Wort, wort, wort!
Brutes need a little bit more deadly melee instead of both a slow windup and regular damage. Compared to an elite they can never win

brutes are underrated. elites have to have metal armor covering their whole body, advanced energy shielding, and ad advanced plasma firing rifle, vs the brutes who are given light leathery armor, and a kinetic pistol like weapon, and are still able to beat the elites in some cases.
well you do got a point but it doesn't apply to the brute chieftans as they have hard metal armor almost all over their body just like the elites but your point still stands

LOVE that the Officer Elite got added mandibles armor unlike in Reach. Totally rocked the Elite Officer in Reach mp, invasion. The a. I in Infinite is very UP there. Halo CE, Reach and Infinite have best a.i Imo. And you know what... this brute vs elite isnt far fetched. As with many real and fictional factions there IS infighting. Total disrespect with spikenade to dead elite groin. And clever chad brute with sjock rifle 😁 wish no a.i wouldnt always recklessly throws arms up before berserking. Vulnerable seconds to be killed. They could just go full blazing with louder, longer roar sometimes

We need more variations and design for the elites and brutes. Besides both designs we have now are great. 343i has the talent to pull it off.
If this is what modders are doing with the game imagine what we will see with Forge released. This game deserves a massive update. It begs for one. I will pay and play all these DLCs for the series. We need a bigger map with a ton of more areas. This should transition officially to the Series X. It's nice that the soft transition is happening with old hardware.
Eventually better updates and DLC will demand more memory and hardware capacity. This game reached and delivered. I can't wait for more official releases.

it's weird to me that the banished don't provide their brutes with basic power armor like elite mercenaries, ofcourse mercs have their own equipment but even so it makes little sense
i do love the elite design, it clearly is functionally viable and it's also esthetically pleasing.
i do think the banished have no business being the covenant 2.0,

SPOILERS FOR VIDEO BELOW.
First to 4 wins, seven rounds total if it goes the distance.
Elites win Round 1 convincingly, lead series 1-0.
Brutes come back in Round 2, ties series 1-1.
Elites return to form in Round 3, leads series 2-1.
Brutes once again play catch up in Round 4, ties series 2-2.
Elites overwhelmingly win decisive Round 5, putting Brutes in a 2-3 deficit.
Do or die. Round 6 goes back and forth. Brutes lead early but Elites' ingenuity and quick thinking defeats the Brutes.
Elites win series 4-2.
The elites are awesome Warriors but they need a wider variety of weaponry the energy sword and the pulse carbine Ain't Enough they need to bring back the plasma repeater the handheld plasma rifle and the standard carbine and then let the elites go ham

Question, you can mod in AI battles but you can't add in a floating camera? There's alot of limited angles while on the ground. Also, listing the numbers and types of units versing would be nice
