3:25 man the hunter ai in this game is next level, the hunter literally kited the chieftain. hunters have to be my favorite alien in halo and the hunters in infinite are just awesome.
They are a massive pain to fight on legendary though. They would be 10x better if they didn't rather just walk backwards and shoot at you instead of going for the mellee and their mellee be so buggy and OP. Half the time it doesn't even touch me and I somehow get hit,
A pity you can't take the plasma gun off a dead hunter. That weapon would be awesome in the harbinger boss fight
Yea and i dont see why they didnt put it in infinite. It could have functioned like turrets once u rip them off the ground
Brutes like to stay still at a distance inviting decimation by the fuel rod cannons.
Watching this makes me wish we got the brute stalkers and some more brute weapons, it's weird seeing them use rocket launchers and not brute shots or fuel rods
I'm starting to think the snipers are the Banished replacement for Stalkers despite them not having active camo cuz that'd be an even bigger pain on legendary😅

I wish we got cool red and silver banished enemies instead of high definition reach covenant. I was expecting cool banished elites and other enemies. Do not get me wrong, I love how the enemies look (wish we got REAL skirmishers instead of being told they are just female jackals) but it is too late for these designs now, they had halo 5 to give us these designs but now we are fighting the banished. Also disappointed how fast the vehicles get damaged, I remember FINALLY riding the banished wraith just for it to be shitfaced by a couple of grunts[Pardon me] I thought the whole point of the metal plates was to increase protection? Haha!
Agree. I think that the Bungie era's Brutes weapons need a return like the Brute Shot, Spiker, Brute Plasma Rifle (Bloodhand) ect.

I like how brutes use human weapons and all but the brutes just aren’t the same without the brute shot. It’s odd that they had brute shots in halo wars 2 yet don’t have brute shots when you fight the bulk of their forces on zeta halo

I would like to think maybe these battles would be available in dlc or something in the future where the arbiter wins the war and comes to aid the humans on the ring so we now have covenant and human forces vs the banished
I love halo infinite Hunters:
•Clunky and heavy sounding.
•Dialog sounds are amazing.
•Celebrations after each kill.
•Defensive of their backs.
•Terrifying when they go into their rage.
Overall i think Infinites Hunters are true Hunters. They were jokes in the past. H5 came close with the Hunters tracking blue team through the ship but that's about it.
Wish they were alittle more tactical, and stood alittle taller.

The hunters are a hive species of worms right,? Legolo or something. Why wouldn't they just make a bigger, more badass hunter than. Always thought that cud b an interesting concept,. Having hunter be different sizes. Maybe the more kills they earn the more legolo they could convince to join the hunter increasing the size
There are bigger combinations of Lekgolo worms, like goliaths, but they don't appear in the fps games. The only ones that do is the scarab.

I miss sharp and pointy hunters. Halo 3’s design + halo 5’s behavior would be the perfect hunter imo

The hunter fuel rod sounds the least threatening of the hunters in the games.
Anyone know a good place to fight Hunters after you’ve completed the whole game? Side quests and campaign levels featuring hunters are all finished so I need more areas to fight them.

They don't know to dodge their fuel rod mortars the way they usually dodge other explosives

The brutes are sitting ducks just like in Halo 3. But at least they can switch weapons now when enemies get too close. They hold back alot with powerful weapons and burst fire though. Very forgiving

SPOILERS FOR THE VIDEO BELOW
Round 1, two Hunters versus dozens of Brutes. Neither are very aggressive. Hunters are slow and deliberate but they advance. Brutes aren't even playing too cautiously; they just aren't equipped to win. Hunters win and lead series 1-0.
Round 2 is much quicker. The Brutes are better armed, better equipped, and utterly annihilate both Hunters, avenging their loss and tying the series 1-1.
Anybody's series now. No idea who wins. Continue placing your bets.
Round 3 comes in, and is the shortest round by far. Despite the strength of the chieftain, the hunter wins, leading series 2-1.
Round 4, both factions are playing out safe, sniping at a distance. Hunters wipe out huge chunks of the Brutes, but the Brutes stand firm, hold the line, and survive. Brutes win, tying series 2-2.
Round 5 is simply a bare knuckle brawl. The Brutes, just like in round 4, have the numbers advantage to overcome the two Hunters slaughtering their pack brothers. Brutes win, lead series 3-2.
Round 6, last stand for Hunters, who go back to their early round four strategy of staying at distance and not being aggressive. They have more hunters on hand, however, and methodically wipe out the Brutes, tying series 3-3.
By all accounts there should have been a decisive Round 7 but that is not in this video so we dunno who takes the series.
SERIES OUTCOME: Inconclusive.
i'm pretty sure this the first time where the hunters actually have more than 1 color of choice for their armor
in ODST hunter can be seen with gold armor
