Flywheel Ring Gear (COOL) on a Ford 8N to Powerman 5000

This video shows how to properly put a ring gear on a flywheel. Don't ever heat it while it is on the flywheel it will pull the heat away faster than you can heat it.

we just welded the ring gear to the fly wheel on ours it has not gave us any problem since

its called shrink fit....

It is called an interference fit.
