For the ones who comment asking him why he is still wearing glasses (without opting for a surgery);
1. looking at his specs, his eye power probably seems to be less (which doesn't really cause discomfort and the need for a surgery is less). This is an elective surgery and it's his wish whether or not to opt for it.
2. The ideal age for this surgery is between 18 to 40 (he obviously appears to be above 40)
Make a technical comparison video between contoura, smile and lasik.
With smile you cannot due vision correction later on but with Lasik you can.
Is it true that if a patient ever had to correct a smile surgery in the future you can only do so by PRK? Can’t do smile again or Lasic?
Got best clarity from your vedio thanks alot
Thank you for you great inform sir..
For those who are questioning why the doctor is still wearing glasses this could be a suitable explanation, I had a choice to do lasik and get rid of my myopia glasses but if I did the lasik I would straight away need reading glasses ( now I don’t need reading glasses) so I chose to wear my normal glasses for my shortsightedness, for people above 45 years old the eye cornea doesn’t refocus and that’s why they need reading glasses, you sometimes see them putting what they are trying read away from their eyes changing the distance and that is actually refocus , my doctor told I might need reading glasses in 5 years time and at that time I will definitely do lasik or smile relex procedure coz I don’t want to carry two types of glasses
Hi.. im wearing two in one glasses. Its for far and near means distance and reading. U may try this if u wish. If u want your glasses lens a bit tinner u can choose. There are also have multifocus which is u can view far and read by focus..
Is there any power criteria to undertake smile. Is it feasible for very high power say 10 and above possible?
Such amazing technology

What are the complications behind the smile
From 5 th standard I was using spectacles. Then I knew about contact lens when I started working. Then I was using contact lens for 3 years. It was not comfortable during all circumstances. Then I heard about smile surgery. After consulting, we felt uma eye clinic is satisfied. 3 weeks before I undergone smile surgery. Doctor was very kind and within 20 mins operation was over. Now, without any struggle I am happily seeing this world without any difficulty. I was completely fine and it's a painless surgery. Thanks to Dr. Arulmozhi varman and Dr. Aadithreya varman for their precious and great job. Thanks to Mr. Manoj for proper guidance.

I am a 16 year old boy and my eyesight is -2/-2.75 should I go for SMILE?
These eye surgeries are only for people above 18 years of age. Ur eye power needs to be stable.
Until you are in your mid 20s, your eye-sight keeps changing. But around 24-25, it will get stable usually, so that's the best time.
@@riyazmdpechu so is it natural for people's eye sights to not always be accurate sometimes and sometimes it is over time
Why doctor you yourself have not removed your glasses by any of these methods please tell us ??

Femto LASIK costs around 85 to 90k, SMILE LASIK is around 1.2 lakh. Opti LASIK (Manual - with blade) is the cheapest but it can be done only if ur cornea is thick enough.
