- This is Part 2 of my basics series. Last time we learned how to set the conditioning to the whole scene, time to see how to make localized changes.
I'm also talking about LCM, Math Nodes and other big and small tricks! As always do let me know what you think and if I should keep releasing "basics" tutorials or you prefer more advanced stuff.

Please for the love of all that is good in the world keep making these! Holy crap I learn so much from these guides. Absolutely fantastic work! Thank you!
Everyone say do this, do that. But you go in detail and say why you need to do something.
After learning about conditioning in part-1 I started using them more. Now it's area composition and outpaintings.
Thankyou very much for the video 😊
These videos maintain the spirit of Comfy.
Yes, really great stuff that lets us understand the inner core of comfy. This is definitely the most useful Comfy channel I've found.
It’s very cool that you are not in a hurry to move on to more complex things, the power of ComfyUI lies in a very deep understanding of the basic staff. On automatic 1111 you are limited by the UI. In the ComfyUI, thanks to understanding the basics, you can solve much more complex tasks. That’s why the most useful series of your videos is about the base staff
So true 👍
I just think that everything is better with nodes.... texturing, rigging, AI...
To anyone finding it had to keep up, there's no shame in putting it on 0.5x speed and rewinding like 15 times until it's clear.
Certainly works for me :)
Exactly, as I sometimes consider myself a fast learner, but this video still took me 4 hours, with times of rewind
You come in for a finger and he GIVES you the entire hand.
I've waited my whole life for this video, haha. Absolutely incredible stuff!
hope you are not too old :)
By far the best tutorials on CZcams. The Gold Standard. Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏
THANK YOU please keep creating this tutorials , i didnt found anyone that teaches good as you
As someone with only some a111 experience, I learned a ton from this series. Please continue!
Please keep making these vids!!! I have a completely new viewpoint on comfy after your detail explanations. Finally I could escape the "flow copycat" way of working. The amount of usefulness is unmatched. Thanks a lot Matteo!
Most other SD tutorial videos I've watched just go "do this, do that, _et voila!_ " but don't always explain much about why they chose the particular way they did, & don't demonstrate contrasting approaches & show the pros & cons. Others also only seem to cover the basics of the basics, but frequently leave me feeling like I'm missing something. Your videos have been filling in some integral gaps for me. Thank you!
Wisdom on rapid fire. My brain is red hot from so many neurons hit with your knowledge. Keep it coming.
Dude, you are awesome. Thanks for your great videos, I'll always get inspired after watching them. What i like the most is that you are going really deep into these topics while skipping all unnecessary youtube bloat. Thank you very much for your work!
The Information in your videos is amazing. Always learning so much. Thanks for sharing
Excellent tutorial, thank you! Yours are always so insightful not only demonstrating new techniques but alternate options to improve basic workflows, it always creates an "aha!" moment for me. Much appreciated!
normally i fall asleep watching tutorials, but not this time, thank you for being generous and sharing knowledge in an understandable way!
These videos are fantastic. I very much appreciate you sharing the more in-depth knowledge you have. If you think about more areas to touch upon in this series, I would love to see more and I would be very grateful for it. Great job!
I'm preparing the third episode :)
I really appreciate your comfyui tutorials. After struggling with so many 'copy-and-pray' videos, yours are a breath of fresh air. You explain the reasoning, I feel confident playing around and making things my own. You've really helped me level up my skills
Matteo , you are always the OG to me. A lots of value from your video, real talk in AI technical way. Rather than someone click a button and mention how beautiful the image is , how detail the background is, etc.
This man knows how to make great and informative tutorials! Thanks for that
Much appreciate the insight and clear explanations. Your channel feels like the only true informative channel that goes into the science of the process. Amazing tutorial :) ❤
IMO, you make the best tutorials on ComfyUI. I check back weekly, if not daily, to see if you've produced a new one. I can understand how these can eat up a large amount of your time. You need an apprentice.
Part 2 is here, yes yes yes. I have never been this excited for part 2 video. Thank you so much.
I know this is fast for many (definitely me included) but Matteo has thoughtfully timecoded this with the relevant chapters, pause & replay will win the day, don't forget you can also change playback speed. Thank you Matteo
These two tutorials and the information shared on the Discord page have advanced my capabilities and, even more importantly, my enjoyment of using Comfy. I thank you for your informative videos and the endless creative possibilities driven by the Ipadapter nodes. I patiently wait for the next edition of this video series.
That's when I realise that I know nothing about Comfyui ! LOL
So complex and beautiful at the same time
These videos are the best! They make me feel stupid, and that makes me want to learn and become as proficient as you are. I will probably have to watch this 50x to fully grasp all the info in it. Thx for all you do!
Please make more of this series! And thank you so much for such amazing explanation!
These tutorials are pure gold and will be extremely helpful for beginners as well as advanced users🥇 - The outtakes are a nice touch.
Thank you very much for this extensive tutorial. I usually do not comment on videos, but in this case I must express how amazing your content is. I really hope, you will continue this series as it is extremely valuable to everyone who likes to learn about SD. Thanks! 🙏
Every new video from you is a treat, Mateo, and this "tutorial" series is incredibly helpful. Love your way of teaching.
These basics videos are fantastic!! Please keep doing these from time to time.
Dude, you are the OG!
I'll be waiting for the sequel! It's very cool and useful!
You explain it like a piece of cake, thank you so much
This is worth more than paid courses on the internet. Keep doing this from the basic. I'm waiting how many magic things happens with the comfy in the future. Best of luck!
Thank you very much! I really enjoy your in-depth explanation about how things work under the hood with practical applications. More like this please 👍
I absolutely love your teaching style. You cover everything in your given topic in such a straightforward manner, but also (and just as important), you also sneak in tons of additional information along the way.
For example, talking about the difference between converging and non-converging samplers. You just casually show the difference between SDE and other sampling methods (which is not even the topic of this tutorial).... and meanwhile, my mind gets blown a little bit and now I am starting to figure out when and why to change samplers on top of everything else I just learned. Wow. Thank you Matteo!
Looking forward to wore basics + explanations -- you are great at this, and are really helping people like us who are learning
Thank you for this tutorial, it's amazing to actually understand what is happening under the hood instead of just a simple use this node or workflow to do X.
Great amazing work, the knowledge you have on the topic comes through perfectly, please do keep at it!
100% keep making more of these videos
La miglior serie di tutorial sul web! Grazie
Best videos on generating images and comfyui.
Awesome 2nd part, looking forward for more! Please
This may be the most essential series of videos on ComfyUI and Stable Diffusion ever created. If there's ever a university programme for gen AI I know where they can start putting together the courseware.
one more time , one of the best video on ComfyUi , Matt3o president ...!!!!!
Thank you for this video, it's best content about ComfyUI
Thanks a lot for taking the time to do these videos, I really learned more from you than any other channel that covers this.
I definitely vote for these types of videos that go in depth into the inner workings of comfy and SD so please don't stop.
See you on the discord server.
I love your videos! These are incredible examples and I love that you use as basic of nodes as possible to make this easily reproducible! Thanks so much for your great work!
Wow! Fantastic information and the reasoning behind the way you're doing the workflow. Really fabulous. Thank you VERY much.
100% keep working on these (time permitting)! Thanks for the good stuff!!
Absolutely fantastic stuff, it’s soooo worth your time, 100 likes from me! I hope to see more of this format. The knowledge per minute index is really high.
there is so much functionality to comfyui that it is hard to learn them all until we see these tutorials where we can understand AND follow along. Well don thank you. please keep these up and any other new interesting projects as well
Obviously if it takes too much out of you, don’t continue making these videos. BUT if it doesn’t, please do!! I learn so much from your videos. Hands down, you are the best creator in this space and I greatly appreciate the work you put into this community.
After part 1, another great video that gave me a much deeper understanding of the subject. I found the tips regarding GLIGEN as one example among many others really helpful. Many thanks.
Whew! Glad this is the “Beginner” video, took me an hour and a half to record notes on this 25 minute video…
outstanding as always, Matteo ~ thx again for the deep understanding help. 😘
Very good content, you are skilled teacher. For me part of fun with comfyui is learning it.
This is a tutorial one learns how the under the hood works. excellent, please keep making it more, I will re-watch this a few times by replicating and then experimenting more.
Seriously Matt3o, I started this and was like...oh wow, I already know all of this...then you dropped like 10+ things I didn't even know existed. Great work as usual.
This video was CRAZY informative. Thank you.
I've been using stable diffusion since the beginning and I'm still learning a ton of new techniques from these videos. Thank you!

Please make more tutorials like this. I find your tutorials a lot easier to understand than the others on CZcams. Grazie mille!
Thank you Matteo!! Was so excited waiting for part 2! Great explanation as always!
Keep them coming Matteo! You are truly amazing at this, thank you so much!
Another excellent video! I particularly enjoyed your demonstration of making any checkpoint into an in/outpaint one through subtraction. Also, your advice for outpainting and maintaining consistency worked wonders; my follow-along astronaut went from gaining a car's backseat during outpainting to a proper spaceship one. :D (edit) Yes! Keep making these types of videos as well. It is ok if it takes a while for you to upload another one. These are invaluable resources.
Dude - this is pure GOLD. I learned so much from your 2 videos. I can now finally replace a haircut properly using your inpainting workflow.
Dear Matteo, this is a very good video!!
All the tutorials are so clear and easy to follow, have learned a lot very quickly, thanks a million!!!
Amazing work!
