Sometimes I would think Ash might not be the hardest one, because lack of the 1 frame link trial (which I think is the hardest). Saiki is the one that has the combination of 1 frame link trials and complicated moves.

And this is why he is one of the greatest of all time.
At the beginning of the trials confidence was sky high, and then Justin ponders if one combo will break him haha.

Ash trials 8 and 9. I'm so looking forward to that day.
It took me two hours to complete those two but I did it as Ash was one of my favourites to play in this game.

@@ReisSns yeah his optimal combos are tough but nothing like his trials the biggest hurdles in Ash's trials that I noted is foing drive cancels and also buffering the charge inputs during those said cancels and Sans Cullote combos are an another hurdle as well but in the end after some really long hours I was able to complete them

These trial vids are my favorite content for real. I got KoF13 for Christmas after Evo 2013. I still can't do all 10 combos for one character lmao. Watching these is hella dope dude I hope you finish everyone.
Doing KoF13 trials is about enjoying the process. Salt and all. I've only completed the trials for a couple of characters but it was fun.
I completed the trials for characters such as Reg.Kyo Ash Benimaru Ex.Iori K' Shen Ryo Duolon Kim Kensou Takuma Chin

saiki isnt too bad I love the rhythm of his combos. they feel good to do. hasnt been a game where combos feel good to do since kof 13
Saki is such a proud and entertaining boss with a sleek design. Verse is nothing by comparison. Hope he gets to come back along like Ash and the other potential old charechters.

Not gonna lie I dont like playing kof but man its so much fun pushing through these trials. I practically live for hard combo trials and just swag stuff its what got me into fighting games as a kid. May not be as competitive as I should be but I enjoy labbing and finding tech to pass off to my friends who can use it better then I ever could.

@@kaceejones2282 its not that kof is hard im just not super into it. I'm more into 3d fighters then 2d. Last kof I truly played was maximum impact 2 since it was closer to the 3d fighters I enjoy.

In a real match all you would need to do is DP into the anti-air fireball and loop that. Is so unnecessary to do all of those combos into teleports cuz it takes more of your meter. Though it looks cool as hell
My combo could look like the coolest in the game and do 10%. I’d still use it. Something to use to style on people
Yeah but these are pro players, they see the game differently. It might not be the best thing to go for, but that's what makes these players do great. Takes a whole lot of work learning these games, which we all can appreciate.

I've definitely put more hours than I should've into BB and KOF trial modes 🤣
they are fun and give you a feel of the character while making you used to the possible combo routes. not necessarly the bnb but its a good start.
I also love to lab combos I've seen on youtube and clear trials of the character I want to learn/enjoy.
Yeah, there's nothing wrong with grinding trials if you're having fun and not screwing up muscle memory 🙂
I do and both BB and Kof are fun to play.

I’ve been watching a millions KOF tournament and you kinda only see the same characters but they are so fun
K', Athena, Ryo, Shen, King, Beni & Kyo has the easiest combos to execute.
We talking just the trials? Cuz Clark has the easiest TOD in the game.
K' are not that easy, shen is the easiest

@@atomu27 maybe, but probably yes, since the revelation of the sacred teasoures team in kof 15 wich is in the iori final of kof 14 (at least i think is his ending) we see kyo chizuru and iori together , and in new invitation team we see too, but w ash elizabeth and kukri together

They’re pretty easy. But there are definitely easier ones than hers. Shen and Benimaru, to name a few

That cancel is brutal. I've been stuck on the last 2 trials for the longest time. Usually if you tap d, f+p after the dp motion you can get the cancel to come out. I learned that from doing the Ryo trials. For his you have to do dp into kouken like a million times. Hope that helps to anyone struggling to do that cancel.

These trials are tough but they’re super fun when you’re playing with a stick. 13 and 14(easier) are really are a good challenge for any player.

IMHO Saiki trials have the best difficulty curve design out of all characters. Most characters are either ridiculously easy all the way or at some point turn into some crazy pro stuff.
I wish I could do better at this game watching everyone's videos including Justin Wong got me hyped to replay these challenges. Bad news I have no patience as I used to wow my timing is so bad. Hopefully If you make some tutorial videos instead of getting stressed out my man I would try those challenges again.

Maybe you should have started with KOF-XI challenges first? It is a gradual introduction to SNK game rage. Not be mistaken for rage quit. Capcoms 2 versions of Capcom vs snk is like adopting a new born puppy 🐶. Snk vs capcom is like coming across a stray Kane Corso dog with full blown rabbies. Win by any means necessary

KOF combos are just hype to look at painful to do basically
Some of them are absolute pain, some are not that hard and are extremely fun(like Vice).

the trial combos are unnecessarily hard, but there are way easier BnB 1 drive cancel into super combos that are basically as rewarding and easy to do. finding one that you like is a lot of the fun, and you can kinda upgrade the combo as you get used to it
Trials are for bragging right, no kof player is using trial mode combos because there are better and less intensive optiosn
@@ODDiSEE_ They can potentially give people who want to be creative more options, though. Like, maybe if someone didn't know that a move can be followed up from, or cancelled in a specific way, then the trials can help and act like a challenge.

Basically specials that can combo into itself through repeated inputs. The term is named after Fei Long's Rekkaken special in Street Fighter.

@@Auster9376 Not necessarily repeated inputs though. ABA in GG has a rekka that is... 236S -> 46S -> 63214S , yet still classified as one. Other games sprinkle different options as well: F-Ryogi in melty blood can do a regular repeated 236A/B x3 rekka, can hold the middle hit A/B for a charge, or completely change it from 236A/B to a 214A/B.
So it pretty much has morphed into a special you can only get by canceling another specific special :)

Like a *KOF* player when you do a transition to *SF* you will have 2or 3 frames faster reaction than a native SF player. 😂😂😂😂

It means you cancel a special move into another special move.

@@kazy8029 I think you should check it out. The combos trials are really just to challenge your execution rather than being practical. I'd honestly say that kof 13 is one of the best ones to play as your first kof, the combo system is fun and intuitive, it looks great, and a lot of the problems kof fans have with it (ie: Some of the funky character redesigns, a pretty bland roster, missing moves, etc.) don't really matter to new players.
@@tackwardsfongjump1800 alright, I am interested in learning a 2D fighting game and 13 looks dowright gorgeous. I think I bought 14 a while back on ps4 to. I'm just a little concerned about learning the motion commands.
@@kazy8029 Kof 2002 UM is also on ps4, I believe they added rollback to it recently.
As for motion inputs, personally I think the perception that kof motions require some insane level of practice is pretty dumb. Outside of the pretzel motion (which is basically only reserved Geese's super), the only major difference between the motion inputs of kof compared to something like Street Fighter is that kof uses a bunch more half-circle motions, which aren't to hard to get down. One nice thing about kof inputs is that there are no 360 motions, so you won't accidentally jump when trying to command grab someone.

What's HD mode?
When the characters glow yellow, they’re in HD mode. It means they can do more Drive Cancels in combos and can now cancel their Supers into their Neo Maxes
