- Today's episode of the NBA's Most Hated Players will feature Jayson Williams. Although Williams was never one the best players in the league, he certainly was one of the most hated. A majority of this hate comes from what he's done off the court as he's dealt with some legal issues including the killing of his limo driver. I'll be taking a look into some of these stories and at the end we'll be determining whether the criticism he receives is fair or not.

I believe that he claimed he had a drinking problem throughout his playing days. Christofi's death and the subsequent legal troubles were a very long rock bottom for him that eventually led to him getting sober.

If you watch his Vlad interview I think he feels guilty to this day and takes full responsability for his reckless behaviour. That does not change things but I dont think the man is what you would call a hated player
There's a better chance of the bomb being dropped today than in late 1990. The USSR was running on fumes at that point, so it being the Cold War still makes his assumption equally crazy if not more so.

It's cool, I had to look and listen when I heard his name in one of the 90's all star game and was like "wha". After that I wondered why nobody ever compared the two seeing that they had the exact same first and last name.
