How does a guard have better post moves than most of these bigs?
Most points are skilled enough to have a good post game. Point guards are typically the most skilled with the most touch and feel on the team.
So against players of similar sizes they should be able to post up and easily do all the fancy post moves.
Brunson might be the best post-up and low-post player at his height and size in the history of the game. 6-6'1 guy playing like he's 6'7 and bullying people

The drill also helps defenders with understanding how to identify offensive players' comforts and go-to moves for space creation and dribble patterns.
