But it's an old atmo engine and Lexus have a new ttV8 coming; right now they're using it in DTM racing and it kicks ass. Also LC F is coming. And since Toyota has been winning Really championships, DTM and 24hrs of Le Mans like crazy recently, they can teach some tiny German company a lesson if they choose so. The only problem is that Lexus' reputation sucks because of crappy FWD Macpherson cars like ES and RX and people aren't so keen on buying hot Lexus cars, because they don't want to be mistaken for an old geezer or a soccer mum. They've made a really stupid decision of killing the GS off as not only they've lost a competition in that segment, they also lowerd brand's status and hurt sales of more expensive Lexus cars. And actually L10 GS did really well and had decent sales when it was yang. It was objectively a better choice than W212 or F10. Only C7 Audi A6 had similar interior quality and ride handling balance, but it wasn't as reliable. And then SUVs became popular, GS got old and these idiots wouldn't update it for too long. If it wasn't for their stupid, gready management that let to having compiting cars in their line up, it wouldn't have happened. If it wasn't for the ES eating IS, GS and Avalone sales, GS would be still here and IS wouldn't be a cripple. Sure ES is profitable, but it isn't more profitable than all the cars it destroyed or damaged. It's really sad as they have the TNGA-N platform from new Crown, they have the incredible new ttv6 from LS 500 - V35A-FTS which can make 650hp with a single ECU tune and has already proven itself reliable and they have terrific Aisin 10 speed. Also a new 2.4 i4 (320hp) is coming, which could be a base engine and that new ttV8 could be in the new GS F. They have everything for building new GS, but these idiots. blew it. They should have killed the ES or build it on a proper platform like a proper luxury car. Non the less, i would rather own old L10 GS350 than a new BMW as i like to know that there was some real budged on development of the powertrain of my car and that it wasn't made with stupid amount of cost cuts: cheap plastic radiator houses, cheap injection systems, cheap cylinder coating instead of proper, thick cast iron liners, etc. And that's exactly what I'm going to do - buy myself a 2017 GS350. I won't lose tons of money on it and it will give me a fun time without any headaches. These cars have proven to go 300k mile without major issues.

For those don't know RR Racing now has 780hp S/C ISF 3800lbs 650WHP, 820hp S/C RCF 700whp 4000lbs GSF also 4000lbs has same motor as RCF. Hellcat 707hp newer hell cats 717hp 4400lbs 600whp. All 3 F cars lighter more hp. ISF is 600lbs lighter. From dig Hellcat has advantage due to transmission and launch control but if driver doesn't know how to launch his Hellcat it doesn't matter. From roll its Supercharger Lexus that have edge.

Not really, because the Lexus is a little underpowered in stock form. 470hp in a mid sized sedan would have been fine in the early to mid 2000s. Not so much in the mid/late 2010s.
Trap speed tells all, but the hellcat slept the light and had traction issues so he got shit on. 124mph trap speed for the hellcat vs the gsf trap speed of 120 shows that on a highway roll the gsf would see the hellcats tail lights.
