hey man just wanted to let ya know, even though i haven't been commenting in a while, i still regularly watch your videos as soon as they come out and thoroughly enjoy them. When you release it's an actual highlight of the day for me, so good luck and best wishes, whether you'll keep doing gwent content or you'll switch it up. (can't remember right now whether you already adressed this or not lol)

I really appreciate that! I'm going to keep making Gwent content (about the same amount) but might add some other stuff in too.

I'm interested in the thinning video because I am a big thinning lover. Whenever I play greedy decks I get into the problem of having say 8top end cards but only playing 7 of them at random (with most important getting tutored), then think why not just play 7 top end cards + knickers instead and just draw from a 6-7 card deck in round three so I don't waste as many provisions.
although I also play alot of control where knickers helps pressure and counter pressure passes.

I'm interested in how Jan Calveit affects the deck consistency of my hated NGs.

Calveit id weird because he isn’t nearly as absolute as people think, because there is anti synergy with battle stations and Ramon tyrconnel, as well as imperial marines.

Not sure if you mention it later but one reason I don't like cursed scroll in particular is that the card you are wanting to draw might literally be on top for round 2 draws, so unless you really want that card round 1 it doesn't feel good. It's also not like triss where you can play her r2 if you still haven't drawn what you want after the 2 mulligans you get at the start of r2. So if I am playing a greedier deck that relies on scroll I do at least include something like maxii to check, but then you are losing out on even more tempo or engine potential.
Tl dr: Actual tutors are much better than triss or scroll imo

I did mention how Scroll is best in decks looking for an opener. I'd never play Scroll over 1 tutor, but it is good if you want to find an opener since it's almost the same consistency as adding an additional tutor saving you a lot of provisions.

It reminds me of one game really long time ago when i played with raid cards
I didn't draw any of 2 highland warriors
I didn't draw bloody eagle and i didn't draw vabjorn entire game
I mean litteraly i didn't draw any of those 4 cards entire match

The real problem is with this
How much accurate are those calculations
Becouse moligan put cards in random place on your deck right? So you can technicly muligan the same card 3 times and it can end up at the top of the deck each time

    • @platinumpatrol2964
      @platinumpatrol2964  Před 5 měsíci +1

By doing each round separately with a smaller deck size (because of cards drawn) it's accounting for the mulligan being placed randomly back in the deck. It is possible to draw the same card 3 times, but for this analysis which card you draw doesn't matter unless it's the one you're looking for.@@worldmen7

You didn't factor in that I'm always unlucky and my opponent is always lucky.
That compounds quite a bit because I'm not only less likely to draw because I'm unlucky, I'm also less likely to draw because my opponent is always lucky.
