The level of interaction is so different from other formats. It's crazy.
Ryan’s narration is unbeatable for Commander but I actually really like the live mic’s for shorter 1v1 games like this.
The audio was unusually well balanced in this video. Most of this style one player is loud, one is quiet, and both sound bad. The narration really helps because it gets high quality and consistent audio
I agree. Honestly some of their recent 1v1 videos in this format haven't been great quality imo (from the players' side), but this one was very well done@@MindLaboratory
they also need time to adjust volumes and everything, just be patient, they notice their mistakes already without us highlighting those 😅

There's a mistake at 9:34. The sideboard shows two mental missteps, but mental misstep is restricted in Vintage so you can only have one in your deck
This might be a dumb question but can you have extra copies to wish for from your sideboard? I'm guessing no

I noticed a turn or two later and said something about it but that audio may have been cut. Definitely a mistake I made.
I've never really looked at vintage before but it's really wild seeing someone play 3 typically banned cards in a row as a standard play 😂

Sometimes you grab a Force of Will or Hurkyls Recall with Merchant Scroll.
Especially post board against shops, Hurks is a really good grab.
Can I ask you a question?
I don't play Vintage myself, but watching someone Scroll or D-Tutor for Recall always seems so.. mediocre. It's like a Divination that gives you an extra card.
I realise it might still be the best thing to do in a given situation, especially since you can't find stuff like Ad Naus or PitA like you can in cEDH - but are you ever actually *excited* to make that play? Is Mystic Sanctuary what pushes it over the edge?

@@fnx.M In vintage, sometimes divination will be enough haha. When every card you draw is fire, yeah.
That said DT is 3 mana draw 3, which is better than div. But I get what you're saying.

Vintage is so sick. Ever thought to feature Vintage Cube at some point? Doesn't lend itself as well to your short and snappy kind of content, but I'd watch the **** out of that.
Edit: also the logistics of getting 6 or 8 people on the show or the visual downgrade of playing on MTGO.. yeah, forget I said anything.

When u play Best of 5. Its normally 2 pre sideboard 3 post. You can see that at the Pro Tour or similar events
Bo5 ensures that each deck gets to showcase it's capabilities OTD and OTP , then the same post board, with the final match existing to break ties.
Another question, would this typically favor transformative sideboards where there's no additional sideboarding?

Ooof, preboard BUG vs Shops is NOT a fun matchup. Heck, even postboard it's not fun, but it all depends on how many FoVs are used.

I have noticed a distinct decline in the amount of cedh content. While i do enjoy the non cedh stuff that you put out, cedh is why I’m here, so I’m sad to see it being slowly phased out.
