@@platinumpatrol2964 Nerf Traveling Priestess. That card should be at least 6 provisions.

It's abusive with its carryover. Picture being on blue coin, your opponent plays it in round 1, they win the round, push you like crazy in round 2 and it gives them a unit along with a huge amount of coins. Not fun to play against in circumstances similar to that.

@@ericjade Priestess is a card I considered but I didn't decide to this time. It is annoying to deal with and the Roche Combo is brutal if you can't force it early.

Igor was the key card in the Scribe spam deck prior to that. After the upcoming buff to Sly Seductress I'm pretty certain he'll be used to make copies of her.

It's an attempt to nerf Hive Mind since Kikimore Worker will never be played outside of Hive Mind unless it was buffed to a ridiculous level. Even if it were to be buffed, the exposed destroying it means for it to be considered it would have to be at like 9+ power and then still the drawback is too high. Therefore it's only ever played via Hive Mind and weakening it weakens Hive Mind without having to nerf Hive Mind by +1 provision. I understand where they're coming from, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the idea.

@@001100AAAEA Was it bad for you in the GN Deathwish video too? I'm asking because my hard drive ran out of space when I'd almost finished recording this so it broke the recording and I lost the file. I had to redo the video so if the sound isn't bad in the last video before this it could just be because my voice was tired from having to re-record and talking longer than I'm used to. I thought I improved the audio but if it's still not good I can take a look at it again. I'll try tweaking a few things anyway and see if it makes it smoother.

I realize that you have a different setup after you moved, but you sounded so much better in your milva and SK sihil video yet weirdly enough the SY off the book video in between them did sound off, I dunno man.. I sound so whiny and I’m still enjoying your videos but I can’t deny that the audio is affecting my enjoyment sorry 🫠

​@@001100AAAEA You're not annoying me by bringing it up! To be honest I thought I'd fixed it and wouldn't know otherwise if people didn't say things. I usually listen to things at pretty low audio levels and listening to your own voice is weird, so I didn't notice much of a difference between the last couple videos and the ones before I moved. As for the Milva and Sihil ones, I did them prior to moving so I'd have things to upload. Then I found time to record the Off the Books one at the new location and decided to upload it in between :) Thanks for your feedback and I have a couple things that I'll try for the next videos that I think will help. There are also some post-recording processing I can do but I generally try to avoid that. If the audio still isn't good enough after my fixes I might give it a shot.

I've used Artis in Self-wound before. There's two main issues. A good amount of the Self-wound cards in the standard deck don't actually want to take half their health when played or don't give that much value. Artis really wants a deck designed around him but in my opinion he needs to be 10p so he can be brought back with Fucusya to accommodate making a deck designed around him. Rite just doesn't give enough value on him since he really needs the tempo from his deploy. The other thing and bigger issue is along the same lines that just slotting him the standard Self-wound typically means cutting part of the Kaer Trolde/Dracoturtle/Sigvald/Olgeird package that works so well together. Artis is an okay card in the existing deck but he's just not as good as the other options in the more standard decks. He's not that bad, he has synergy and thinning a card is good, but not all Self-wound decks want to run the transforming cultists. If Artis or any of the cards that go in his deck get buffed (Tuirsech Veteran the healing berserk one I think it is for example) I'll make a deck based on him. Otherwise the next time I do a Self-wound deck I'll try to include him. I do quite like him.

@@platinumpatrol2964 thanks that explains so much! My very first SK deck was a selfwound with artis so that is years ago when I had no idea what I was doing! You know how it is, you see a video copy it and thinks everything is gonna go the same way and it does not! 😂 I have tried him later but I always did the mistakes you mention here and you are right he should be 10 provision, I also thought about that blue guy who takes damage gives damage could use a buff, that would help right?

@@DennisJeppesen Yeah Blueboy Lugos I'd like to see buffed as well. It's also somewhat of a meta thing for Artis where he doesn't get that much value into decks that play small units. Most played units in my experience are either engines or get their value from deploys. For low power cards Artis isn't that much better than an An Craite Longship + Naval Supremecy or an NR Ballista or two that can target their damage. If you play him against something that does play big units like Ogroids or Relicts Artis is actually great, but most decks don't play that many units with high base power (think of all the tall finishers that boost themselves - a simple Spores punishes that better).That makes it so to get a ton of value of out of Artis you want to synergize your own cards with him instead of playing him as an offensive damage engine, leading to the competition with other cards in the deck that are just better.

I can really see what you are talking about I took your advice and made a new deck and my win rate wasn't anything to brag about, and I did go against ogroids where he worked great! He did so well in that one game, I had a blast. But I had to sacrifices to many good cards or end up with no thinning and a bunch of 4 provision cards and then hope to get the right draws. Will look forward to when you get around to make a video! But you are right, he really needs to be 10 provision.

Shinmiri is definitely a lot higher ranked than me so I don't think it'll happen unless it's at the start of a season

I'd like to but I wasn't happy with the one I came up with recently and didn't make a video on it. I'll keep working on it

I use the image editing software Gimp and made a template of the cards for each faction that includes the border, rarity, provision image, power and provision box, and the artifact/special symbol and armor (so I can just hide them on cards I don't want them on). Then I just add the images and numbers. The easiest way is to get the assets is to download the Gwent Card Exporter by pramberg451 on GitHub. Once you unzip it one of the folders it comes with is the Assests folder that has all of the card assets and you should be good to go if you know how to use an image editing software (I use Gimp). Alternatively, you can screenshot cards in the game and then edit the image and save each component yourself to use in the same way. This is a lot more effort and very annoying (I know from experience). I wouldn't recommend it though. One more random note: If you want to do projects beyond just custom cards you can also install the Gwent Ultra Bold font type to your PC (you can search for it online and download it) and create preset effects for it in an image editing software (I use Gimp) to be able to type things in your image editing software in the same font as the power and provisions. Wererat is fine but I don't like how the consume is mandatory when there aren't that many Deathwish carss. That and the Rat spawning can block spaces you need in the Necromancer's Tome round. Really the issue with him is I didn't have a 6p slot as he would work very well with Ruehin.

I'll be honest I have no idea who made the first one but I have seen a lot of people playing it. I think part of it is people wanting to try out the buffed Harpy Egg and GN + Necromancer's is super strong in pretty much anything.

I've seen quite a few similar GN Deathwish decks but none playing Ruehin and She-Troll and they seemed like they could work, and it turned out even better than I hoped!

Yeah it did happen a couple turns in a row before that but it is hard to catch if you're not paying attention.

Renfri is a card that creates a new leader ability when played as long as your starting deck is 25 or more units (so typically 25 units). She is played with Renfri's Gang (6 for 6 bronze that thins the other from the deck), Iris + Iris Shade and Blightmaker + Mage Assassin for consistency, Runemage to give you more options when creating the Leader ability with Renfri, and Triss" Meteor Shower as a finisher (very good because you spawn extra 1 power copies of units and she'll boost them all based on their base power). Renfri works very well in NG because the removal and consistency you lose by playing mainly units is made up for by cards like Alba Armored Cavalry and Vilgefortz for control and Blightmakers for tempo consistency plays. The deck uses the soldier engines for value while stacking the key cards (Runemage, Renfri, Triss:Meteor Shower) to the top of the deck while gaining points off of the Marines. You can really abuse the ability to have a new leader by throwing your charges out early and then playing her as some of the leader abilities you can create have passive effects or a Cooldown or trigger at the end of each round. I'll link a sample decklist if you're really interested but I generally won't make Renfri decks. Many players (myself included) hate Renfri as she was incredibly imbalanced on release (literally 70% of all decks were Renfri from the 250 games I played that season) and remained so even for a long time afterwards. Even today 25% of my games in Pro Rank are against Renfri decks. Since she's neutral made most decks similar across all the factions as they would all run the same 8-10 neutral cards the decks were based on. It is not getting shutdown it’s just that no new cards are being added. All changes to the game are now made through balance council

They're not shutting down the servers any time soon, but the developers aren't adding new cards. There will continue to be updates each month to 40 cards as voted on by the community balance council tool to keep things fresh.
