  • Trans -Generational Trauma and Hindu Resistance : Western psychologists have examined in great detail the effects of collective intergenerational trauma faced by survivors of Jewish Holocaust and Armenian Genocide. Yet, the world is still in the dark about the transgenerational trauma faced by Hindus in India during genocidal violence of Islamic invasions in what was probably the world’s biggest holocaust, or in Will Durant’s words, ‘the bloodiest story in history.’
For the very first time, acclaimed clinical psychologist Rajat Mitra brings to the surface deep-seated psychological issues Hindu society itself is pitifully unaware of, fragmented as it is after surviving centuries of mass violence. Having missed out on crucial stages of Grief as they evolved mechanisms of the famed Hindu resistance, Hindus at long last seem to be awakening to their suffering and expressing their grief and anger in a resurgent swell of nationalism.
It is time, argues Rajat Mitra, that Hindus begin to research and tell the story of their historical trauma to show the world what their ancestors went through and how they sustained so that we, the present-day Hindus could survive.

I'm British and have embraced Sanatana Dharma because it is the highest wisdom ever conceived. For that same reason that is why Hindus have been genocided by the Abrahamic forces of Islam, Christian Missionaries, British Colonialists and Marxists. This demonic Abrahamic worldview seeks to destroy and homogenise all that is holy and good so that materialism, despiritulisation and consumerism can fill the void. I hope and pray that young Hindus will embrace their identity and be proud of it. Sanatana Dharma must survive!

@@munirathnam4548 only problem with that view is that by the time the British started accumalating power in India, the Mughal rulers had already become very weak and indigenous rulers especially the Maratha's were gaining prominence and were fast becoming the de facto powers. Give or take another 25-50 or 75 years maximum without the intervention of European powers and who knows, Islamic rule in India might have been wiped out almost completely. Indigenous Hindu rulers wherever they ruled would have ushered in a Hindu renaisance in India surely and wealth generation and prosperity would have returned to India once again.
BUT even if they did their worst and kept the general populace not much richer than they were under the mughals or the british, it would have at least stopped the outflow of wealth away from India and just like middle eastern nations, we could have used that cash to just pay for industrialisation when the 19th century finally rolled around.Look at Japan too, the whole of Japan westernised and industrialised within a span of 20 short years after the Boshin wars (aided by western nations like America and Britain) just because they had the will and the money.
Once India had indeginous Hindu rulers, there would have been plenty of will to take our nation forward not just in the rulers but in the common populace also. People who think that we would have never developed any good infrastructure had the British not given it to us have SERIOUS tunnel vision...
Also, people like you are ignoring the cultural damage that the British did to keep the populace pliant. They created massive fault lines in India which exist and are volatile to this day. The Islamic hordes coming to India at the turn of the millenium were a catastrophe sure but so was British rule in India no two ways about it...

The Sikh guru's contribution is hardly known by people, otherwise the 1984 Sikh riots would not have happened. The "social media" - will play the role that books and papers have supposed to have played in the dissemination of this knowledge and understanding.
This would create a new ethos and an overwhelming force in history!
Rajatji, like many others is now at the forefront of this new dialogue that is now taking shape and in helping Bharat to find more meaning in it's past. The "healing" will happen in time and Bharat will become more cohesive than divisive as in the recent past and the result will hopefully be a more equitable, prosperous and happier existence for it's people!
The "kumbh mela" which I visited in Allahabad in 2001 had a very powerful impact on me. There is a deep, spiritual and emotional meaning about this "get-together".
I can understand at a deeper level why "kumbh mela's" generate this huge sense of "home coming" from across the world!
The young generations need to be exposed to such knowledge and understanding. This has to do with what could also be called " karmic memory"!

Its like our community is in complete denial or perhaps it had to do so for survival. Even after centuries of it, Throughout childhood I was not able to fit in the displaced environment I grew up, maybe because my generation was no longer a joint family like that of my previous generation.
This issue hasn't been properly addressed in our community, like elsewhere. We have very much been in denial. Nevertheless the community is really admirable to have adapted to the new environment and survived. But it is also important to accept our history , come out of denial and take pride in ourselves for what we are.
And it is the same for all of us

Kashmiri pundits were made refugees in Kashmir in the year 1990, we had to flee at night times, it has been now nearly 30 years and we nearly half a million souls are suffering since and we keep on telling our stories but it has become a mere lullaby to secular ears of India and to the world. Nothing has been done by the Governments of India and only using us as a political football for their own goals. I tell you once upon a time in Kashmiri history when Islamists hounded us to kill, convert and destroy us, we were left only 11 families in the whole of Kashmir and present all Kashmiri Pundits are descendants of those 11 families, we are not violent people but we are very stubborn and we will leave no stone unturned till we educate the whole of the world...Truth and suffering of humanity.

It may seem irrational to some but it's said when Shri Vishnu takes Avatar to bring back dharma to the world , many other devas and Devis and other gods take up human form to help the supreme do his duties. I feel somewhere Sangam Talks is one such group of people who is helping to bring back Dharma to the world.🙏🙏🙏 Thanks once again for this great video and other videos.

Hindu is the geographical and cultural identity of the Indian subcontinent region and every Indian today (be it a Christian, Muslim, Jew or other) should accept and concede that Hindu is the cultural identify of India and respect it before their religious beliefs-inclinations. They should accept Dharma as the eternal law of this land and respect it.

Danapur is a place in banks of river gangamaiyya. In british archives its older name was dinapur, which is attributable to sun god "dinanath", a god who witness arag of chhat puja. Procedure wise and things that are used in puja are so simple that it appears to have origin in iron age. Even if we consider mere 1000 year, how come an agragian society living in river banks of ganga worshiping sungod dinanath never have a temple dedicated to him. All temples in bihar except badi patandevi and agamkua, are constructed after independence.

Mr. Mitra should also do research on the most infamous Noakhali genocide in 1946 and subsequently in 1965 and 1971 in East Pakistan before the traumatic experiences faced by Hindus are faded. That it is already happening in West Bengal is evidenced by the unabated Muslim migration from Bangladesh encouraged and assisted by CPM first and now carried on by TMC for shortsighted political power and against the wider national interest.

memory passes into genes and many instances have come where even forcefully converted Hindus into Islam have come back to their original religion due to the genes reverting the memories back after few generations. India had more people than Europe and Middle East because there was always prosperity, health and wealth. People came without visa, invaded and exploited weaknesses in society.

The speaker brings a much needed psychological perspective to explain why increasing numbers of Hindus perceive a threat to their way of life.
An important aspect we should all reflect upon is how should we learn from these past experiences and ensure they don’t recur again. This involves changing mindsets, a clear-headed recognition of the threats today and developing mechanisms/institutions that deal with this. I’m sorry to say this but a large part of Hindu thinking today is in trying to repurpose moksha texts to achieve worldly aims (eg. Srimad Bhagavad Gita). What is missing is the development of new social/political/economic constructs/ideologies that build on our past. How about reinterpreting our Dharma and Arthashastras to reimagine our social structures? For example how should caste be imagined today? What were the failings of the past and how to address them today? issues such as this are not even discussed. I hope this changes because emotional issues can only sustain things for so long

The Indian narrative of present secular India comes from the dhimmi Hindus of Delhi-UP-Punjab who accepted the Muslim rule over them.
Nehru, Barkha Dutt, too belong to that same line of thought of dhimmis. This trait of dhimmitude can be identified by the dhimmis love for Dara Shikoh, brother of Aurangzeb.
Rajat Mitra here also subscribes to the dhimmi narrative of Delhites-UP-Punjabis linking the defeat of Aurangzeb and stopping the islamization of India as handiwork of Sikhs.
While leaving India, Britisher handed the power to the dhimmi scumbags like Nehru and their ideology and constitution coming from a dhimmi perspective defined India in those last 70 years.
So from Indian military to Supreme court to Bureaucracy to Media to Police, every one of these britisher-dhimmi institutions should be destroyed thoroughly and replaced with a Hindu institution.

too late to do that and the Modi government is a proof of this. When someone like Modi wins with such a massive majority and does precious little for the Hindutva cause in 5 years except create a ruckus about Jinah's picture in Aligarh university or names of roads you know that Hindus really don't have the stomach for what needs to be done to achieve something on that scale (oh and Modi also stopped whats app tripple talaqh I guess so that too)

I'm an Indian Atheist. My opinion is that you are simply going through a Phase.. I have gone through all these phases.. Self Criticism.. Nervousness.. Deleting Posts considering them to be too offensive.. Now-a-days, My Internet policy is simple, Be honest to myself. I don't give a damn what others think of my comment. The worst thing you can do is not insult others but lie to yourself about your true emotions, This applies to everything !!!
I don't give a damn about Hinduism to be honest, I don't even believe in Hindu Gods. But I respect Hinduism and stand for the Hindu cause so much so that I will be right there standing along with my Hindu brothers for what is right !!! Hindus have undergone systematic persecution in History, The likes of which will make you Puke out of Disgust, And no one has apologized to them. If you pick up a book and start to read History, You will know everything.
My advise for teenagers of Any Religion, All Belief, All Ideology - Read History, It will teach you everything, It will make you wise - Not just Indian History, World History !!! Reading History changed my life !!!
