Bayern is being successful based on their own money while PSG needed tons of external (oil) money to be where they are. Bayern is being successful with way less money e.g. PSG paid for 2 players 400 million Euro while Bayern paid 130 million Euro for their whole starting squad etc. In general is Bayern the top club in Europe which spent the least money on transfers within last 10 years, every other top club (specially PSG) spent way more money on transfers and salaries within last 10 years than Bayern. Bayern doesn't need to pay their players most salaries but still most of their talents doesn't leave the club even they could get more money in other clubs like at PSG. Bayern is literally self-made success while PSG isn't. Without PSGs Arabian sugar daddy and his oil money PSG wouldn't even play UCL. Bayern is the only top club which tries to keep transfer expenses down to earth (what is very good), since other teams in the Bundesliga can't afford big transfer expenses, while PSG destroyed any financial fairness in the Lique 1.

@@Looneytune Bayern is self-made success in comparison to a club like PSG. But Bayern rarely creates their own stars. They always buy the good players from other clubs especially in the Bundesliga but for a low transfer fee. They rarely grow their own talents. Thomas Müller and David Alaba are the only crucial Bayern players who really came out of their own youth academy. Neuer and Goretzka are from Schalke. Kimmich came from Leipzig and Stuttgart I believe and Lewandowski was basically made in Dortmund.
Obviously they all made their next step at Bayern and Kimmich or Davies really evolved there. They do great work at Bayern all in all and their success is completely deserved. But when I think about self-made success I think about a great youth academy and the involvement of young players in the first team. Bayern has a great youth academy but barely anyone gets a chance to play in the first team. Bayern wasted many talents.
