The ZX4 is such a cool bike. I'm glad Kawasaki is selling it, and I'm glad people are buying it. Unfortunately, I can't ride it for long due to back problems, but I would get one if I could ride it. I know they make a naked version for Europe. Wish they sold that here.
I prefer 1 and 2 cylinders over 3 and 4 cylinders but you cant beat a torque 2 cylinder

Zx-6r. Step UP. Not down. Good on gas mileage, has some pep, and higher up in the rpms get away from trouble speed. Im too broken physically for mine, spinal fusions, but I man up and take short rides anyway. Gotta have SOME fun😁

the Ninja 650 is quicker than the ZX4rr to 60MPH and possibly the 1/4 mile. But after that the ZX4 will walk away all the way up to 154 MPH. The 650 tops out at 130. A step up would be a ZX6. I have a Ninja 650 & a CBR650. My son is getting ready to get the ZX4rr 😉

There must’ve been something wrong with the Yamaha R7 mine is piped and tuned and quick shift in the Kawasaki ZX 400 will not beat my bike. My buddy has one we ride together all the time.

He got to that 110mph faster than anyone else. We all saw that with our very eyes. I’m a litre ride whom also owns a r7 but the little ZX4 holds it own and definitely deserves respect

yeah he might've gotten to 105mph faster than the other guys but who says they're full throttle, it took FOREVER to get to 100mph from 60mph. My naked 675cc would gap that (OBVIOUSLY) and a gsxr600 should SMOKE me.@@michaelblenman

80 horsepower. My 82 Kawasaki 750 4 cyl had 80 horsepower. It was no slouch. Instead of the 4RR i went with the zx-6r. Wanted the extra power
no hate what so ever but they must have been new riders i have an rs660 and my mate has a zx4rr i smoke him every time we both have tuned bikes and i also smoke r7 and gsxr 600 so nice bike but it wouldn’t keep up with those bikes if they had proper riders on
zx10r rear tyres needs change.. too risky riding like that..

It’s because Kawasaki 400rr will not be the Yamaha R7 I go to the race track almost every other weekend them guys all have their bikes tuned, and I’ve got so much more power coming out of the corners I lose them
Your boys were 100% in the wrong gear. The US market zx4rr is capped to 56hp and makes 25 ft lbs of torque. The R7 makes 75hp and 50tq. With double the torque and the same weight you’re gonna get demolished below 100mph. With an ECu flash you can get ~75hp out of the zx4rr but you’ll still be way down on torque so under 100mph you’ll get walked. As for the GSXR he’s gonna walk the both of you up top no matter what you do.
I use to ride with my buddies in Cali and on my tuned Super Duke 990 making 135hp and 85tq I could hold off a GSXR 750 to 130-140moh but after that I got pulled in mostly due to aerodynamics. As for my boys GSXR 1000 it was even to maybe 100mph and then he pulled on me like I dropped an anchor. So your buddy on the ZX10 isn’t trying at all

Id go zx-6r. But the 4RR does NOT suck. My 82 Kawasaki Specter 750 had 80 hp. So does the current 4RR. It was NOT slow. But wanted a little more get away power and speed. Outrun the road ragers😊
