      What is VBSS?

    • @bohemianbookworm9361
      @bohemianbookworm9361 Před rokem +1

      VBSS is just an NEC. Stands for visit board search and seizure. Anyone can sign up long as they meet the reqs & get permission from their command. But for a reservist …. they usually get very limited seats per class. (When reservists don’t sign up in time, those seats usually get filled by AC or standby’s). If you do go reserves, you have to get orders just for the school, so I’d suggest you go on ADT orders and then request to attend while at that command unless you have a chill/ supportive reserve unit that doesn’t mind sending you on their allotted dime.
      Ask someone who’s in the navy to get the pre-reqs from CANTRAC to see what they are first. There’s med screening, pt related reqs (Jacob’s Ladder), and a few more if I recall correctly. But as a reservist if you do the bare minimum (2 weeks/year) you’ll never use it. It will literally just be in your training folder. You’d need to be attached to a ship that is deployed or in NSW community.
