The hose is to back the lion off so the keeper can get out. They do this in the Zoo as well ... it doesn't harm the lion. It is much like the spray bottle and the cat when you want to teach it to stay off the drapes or table.

hey daz! idk if anyone’s already explained it, but i know im super late (rewatching vids and all) but the reason we react to cute things in a “cannibalistic” way is because our (natural) instinct is to get rid of any weakness that could potentially be used against us. so if we see a cute puppy our reaction is to hug it and essentially crush it to get rid of said weakness.

The lion probably never knew what life was like in the wild if they are playing with people like that. Also, it isn't unheard of for people to discipline animals. If your dog shits on your floor give him a tap on the shoulder to let him know it is wrong to do that. The only reason that he appears more rough with the lions is that it's much bigger than a dog and a tap wouldn't do shit.

Excuse you but dogs aren't wild animals, lions and tigers are. They belong in the wild. That's how they were built. They're not meant to be raised as "pets". Even in sanctuaries, they are left alone in the wild because that's the way of life.

If you are good with animals like me I am amazing with dogs they are will always run up to me and snuggle me a little annoying but maybe some people have a chance with a tiger or a lion but you don’t wanna make it feel threatened act like them

The fact that he has so many in one enclosure is a bit asinine. *AND* he went in with them in such a small (I call it small cause there's so many Tigers in it) space and didn't expect them to try to challenge and/or attack him. He's insane! Like he said with the lion about the adrenaline rush, that could be the only reason why he has them.

Honestly, these people have I would think much more experience with these animals than any of us. It's also not like they took the lions when they were cubs away from the wild, the lions probably were born in the zoo and the owners imprinted on them when they were young so in the lions pov, these people aren't a threat. Also, every animal at one point was wild so it isn't much of an argument, why could dogs be domesticated and not lions?

I have always wanted a tiger as a pet. But I know I can't, and it really gets me triggered when I see this. You don't keep wild pets in your backyard. You don't spray them with a hose if they try to eat you. Leave the gosh darn tigers and lions alone.

For me I think the worst part about this is, is when someone dies from an attack (and they will) from one of the various animals they have, the likeliness of that animal being left to live is slim.
I have little care for him or those who enter the cages with him because if either of them dies by the animals then that's down to them and their stupidity, but those animals don't have a choice. They're shoved in a cage that they then perceive to be their territory only to have a dick of a wannabe Houdini force his way in and expect them not to follow their instincts.

Don't get me wrong I am a huge animal lover but when are people going to learn that these big wild cats are not domesticated animals and it is so unfair to walk them around on a lead like they are domesticated dogs!! and it always shocks me these people who claim to love and care about these big cats are the ones that treat them so unfairly and you need to learn that they are wild animals at the end of the day and need to be treated as such!! another thing that drives me insane when I see people putting these little dogs in prams and pushchairs like they are children!
