Cooking the PERFECT VR BIG MAC on Quest 2 // New Quest 2 Gameplay

- The time has come once again to cook some virtual Big Macs, Cooking Simulator VR has finally arrived on the Quest 2 with an incredible faithful and enjoyable port of the PC VR title. The Cooking Simulator VR Quest 2 version launches this week and to celebrate I thought I'd try (again) to recreate the iconic Big Mac and Fries in VR, I feel like things went much smoother than last time but the lack of lettuce will never cease to frustrate me... We also attempt some KFC and a Sweet and Sour Pork dish whilst also checking out how the visuals and performance of this new Quest 2 game stack up against the original PC VR counterpart. Cooking Simulator VR is easily the most enjoyable and fully fleshed out of all the VR cooking games, with a campaign to work through, different kitchens to select and customise, a sandbox mode and a fully stocked pantry to mix and match this is the only VR cooking simulator that truly lets your imagination run wild.
The new VR games / new Quest 2 games just keep coming, this is another surprise release that really helps to bulk out the Quest 2 library. It's also one of the best PC VR ports I've played on Quest, with just a little downgrade in visual quality the core mechanics and systems are all identical and the fun to be had is just as silly and over the top here on Quest as it was on PC.

I love how, in the intro, it took longer than expected for a reaction in a video game but a comparable to how the explosion might go in real life. I'm not saying I've ever left a large gas cannister over a gas burner or have sufficient knowledge of the different types of cylinders and gases and how long they take to ignite/explode. But it took long enough for you to question whether something was going to happen and walk away before it finally exploded when you weren't expecting it. And that's how I could see that situation playing out in real life
I was also a professional cook for 7 years and I'm pretty impressed with how detailed this game is. I don't own a PC so I didn't pay attention when it came out last year but I'm really looking forward to the quest release now.

Loved my visit to Beardo’s Backstreet Bites. Food was perfect. Their basil burger was a delight - just the right consistency, its moist, sponge-like texture slid down nice and easy. Also, top notch sauce. 10/10, would recommend for anyone interested in some light scurvy.

Jump scares when you least expect them are absolutely horrifying, especially in VR.
My worst one was in Skyrim VR as I was wandering around taking in the scenery near a waterfall, when a damn skeever rat jumped me from the nearby bush with no warning. I almost s**t my pants!

The final flat pc version has the exact same limitations so i wouldnt expect any changes to that anytime soon

Quick tip from a cook please never press your burger on the grill it pushes out all of the juices. Other then that well done 👏 🤣

Maccy's used to be great, nowadays even if you go into the restaurant you're not guaranteed your food is going to be fresh and piping hot. Has anyone seen the Maccy's advert where you can get it delivered ? They quote, "there's nothing like a McDelivery"...yeah, that is so true, your food is stone cold by the time you get it even if you live just over a mile away !!
