I appreciate your definition of coarse hair. I had a hair analysis which confirmed coarse hair. When I mentioned this to a hair stylist (whom I no longer see) she laughed and said “you don’t have coarse hair!” Your explanation describes my hair and makes sense!
This was a tremendously helpful video. You helped me realize I was using too much product. Because I have coarse hair I was using a ton of leave in conditioner. Today I followed your suggestions using the products I have. What a great difference!

My hair is curly and getting very thin on top so it takes me a while styling to cover my scalp. What kind of haircut is best? I do have layers. Is a shorter haircut with layers best or would longer layers be better? I’ll try your techniques here too. Currently my hair is chin length

I know this is a big ask but could you recommend products for my routine? I have fine, low density 3b curls that are shoulder length or a lil below. It’s in pretty good shape I think…no heat or color damage. My hair likes protein. I looked for that Keratin HA spray on Amazon but cannot find it and don’t know what else is equivalent. I’m afraid something different will weigh down my curls. I appreciate products w/ good slip since I do have great difficulty doing my hair thx to a lifetime of rheumatoid arthritis. My hands are deformed & claw-like now…hence the need for slip. Tacky products cause my curls to separate too much once they get caught in my claws😂 It looks like you’ve tried every product under the sun for the last 30 years so I couldn’t think of a better person to ask for recommendations on lightweight products with slip. I need hold, but I don’t need a ton of it. Aiming for volume & definition. My curls are actually very similar to Manes by Mel’s except she has more hair than me and mine is longer. Thx Chelle❤
