I never heard the expression "squish to condish" till I started watching curly hair videos. I do squish, but I never thought I was forcing conditioner into the hair strand (is that even possible?). I thought the purpose was to help curl formation, and it does do that for me. Like the keeping a record idea, I guess I've actually been doing that on Facebook for the last few years, I started an album in which I detail my haircuts and styling products and what's working and not working for me. Thanks again for your great content!

I’ve heard it for both. I only addressed the one that just isn’t going to work (forcing conditioner into the hair). I’m glad you enjoyed and thank you for watching!

Love these tips! I have been on my wavy hair journey for 5 years but recently started keeping track in the beginning of the year which has honestly been the best thing.

Very helpful! I’m at the beginning of my wavy/curly journey and have fine hair that gets easily weighed down. Thank you for giving me permission to eliminate some of the moisturizing products that make my hair limp! Yes please do a third!

I have been wavy curly for about 6 months now so I'm still very much a novice and adjusting to new products and a whole new way of handling my hair, but I always felt like squish to condish was counterproductive. I have tried it many times in an effort to increase moisture and de-frizz, but never noticed any difference in my results. I actually wonder if it might contribute to frizz (for me, at least) with the additional friction of scrunching and squishing in different directions. Just my thoughts! Love your channel, and your experience is apparent with the detailed information you give for many different hair types.

Very informative! Random question: have you ever tried the plopping your hair into fishnet stockings and diffusing thing? 😅 I've seen people try to dry the whole time like that, dry only the beginning like that, or only the end. I bought fishnets 2 years ago to try it but never had the courage. Would you consider trying it?😅

Thank you! I’ve seen that too. I’m curious but also worried about it getting tangled in my hair. 😂. I don’t know yet if I’ll try it. I’ll have to think about it.

@@CurlyChelle547 I feel like my curls would get wonky AF lol. I've never seen a bad one though; I've just seen some that didn't make a difference but I've seen others that came out pretty well. There's this one influencer who has low density curls like mine and she tried it and actually got a bit of volume from it. But my ends have to be babied or they just look weird. I also need a trim pretty badly which just makes the ends more prone to wonkiness lol

@@VengefulAngeI yeah the wonkiness is another concern. I’ve seen it look good too though so maybe….? 🤷🏻‍♀️
