3:00 Rio has no clue what he's saying! That same defense got us the 12th position before Wenger and that defense was taking its last breaths and Wenger revived their careers with his revolutionary ideas and philosophy + He's trying to say he didn't build a core, he was gifted one. What about the invincibles he made? It's in his best interest to belittle Arsenal's Manager's achievments while he's supposed to be a professional!

The more and more interviews and changes that come to light about Wenger and his man management at the beginning of his tenure makes me respect him more and more. Sure his latter years were somewhat underperforming but like Keown and Rio said, Wenger inherited an airtight defense that could play on autopilot. Wenger was not a defensively oriented coach and as such his latter years suffered due to that, but by God he treated us to some of the most beautiful attack minded football the world has ever seen. Hopefully Emery can hold onto Wenger's attacking players and mentality while also shoring up the defensive and mental pitfalls the current squad has for another couple of years.

as i said on numerous occasions, arsène wenger should have given the sack after the psv games of 2007.
2008 was a last hurray, but the inept behaviour of clichy, due exactly to wengers inaptitude of drilling discipline in his players, during the 2:2 draw against the brummies, should have closed his file at the club. would have been better for everybody.🤷🏻‍♂️

Arsene's biggest mistake was the fact that he didn't leave early... had he done that he would've still be considered as a top manager and he would've won more trophies with other teams.. Well, he loved Arsenal and he was also too stubborn, and he doesn't like to lose so he took one challenge after the other until he lost many fans,
    unfortunately.

And even challenging for title in 2007, 2010 only because stadium debt, arsenal can not win title, because they have to sell theor best player. even in his last 4 years still manage to win FA cup..Mourinho after 3 years at chelsea and they not even in top 6, pep never manage a club more than 4 years, poch struggled when spurs need to be prudent to pay new stadium.. and even ferguson didnt have to be prudent during his tenure
