Doesnt matter if your flying this beast, if you are part of the take offs, landings and maintenance, its probably one of the coolest jobs one could have.
Agreed, just seeing it with your own eyes in real life is incredible.
True dat
Absolutely
agree
Couldnt agree more
Keep in mind that only 120 years ago, we were still basically using the same forms of transportation we had been using for thousands of years, with the exception of trains
Car was invented in 1885
@@legendaryarchie6512 But they weren't really effective at long range transport until the 30's, only thing they were good for before was shört distance travel and showing off.

I can't believe those ear defenders stop all that noise lol
They don't completely stop it. They just reduce it to the point where they aren't suffering permanent deafness.
You wear double hearing protection on the flight line/deck. Foamies and then the cranial on top.
Still not gonna stop tinnitus tho
RedJive213 yeah, but its better than nothing
They don't
I always love the salute.... Dignity, respect, pride, teamwork, honour....
The moves/positions and communication of the ground crew is badass on its own.
If I ever get a 2nd life, it will be lived in the cockpit of a fighter jet!
@Hikikomori thanks boo!
Tbh it’s possible you could right now
I mean if your health and everything checks out and you put ur mind to it and if your the right age to
@Hikikomori The Air Force is so cool. Jets and Planes are awesome! Especially the FA-18 Super Hornet. You’re lame, Warship fan.
@Hikikomori what do you find not lame? anime? your saying fighter jets are more lame than anime? lmao wtf is wrong with you go get some help youre like such a weeb its scary
They're such beautiful planes! I love them so much! FA-18E Super Hornets, WOWWWW! Amazing AND awesome!
Man if that does not give you goose bumps then your not really a true f/a 18 hornet fan great video

I had forgot how much I hated FOD walkdowns until I seen these guys doing one here ( 15 seconds in)
we can see here that BF3 nailed that Hornet mission
Now that's a FOD walk.
I want to smell the jet fuel, hear the deafening noise, hear the whistling as they are coming in to land, and once again experience the power of takeoff! Man, I miss these days...I was so young, but it's grabbed ahold of me forever! Go Air Navy and U.S. Airforce!
The best days of my life!😊
Good take off, good flying, good landing 💙
Pit crew is cooler than F1 😎
Nothing like the flight pattern take offs the greatest about these birds.
Top Gun music in background
jet noise is the only music you need
Nah, Top Gun music is like the icing on the cake for videos like this..

HIIIIGHWAY TOOOO THE DANGER ZONE *DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN NUN*
By some reason everytime i watch something about marines a Air Force ad pops and when I see a Air Force video and marine ad pops
Al-Bashir is gonna really have a bad day
Nice high resolution video
That was epic!👍❤️
I bet that never gets old.
As a kid, I was obsessed with this plane after Independence Day featured them so prominently, though I’m pretty sure they were just regular hornets.
They were just regular Hornets. The Biggest Indicator of a Hornet vs a Super Hornet is the intake ramp. The Hornet is ovular while the Super Hornet is rectangular.
Might look tempting, but never approach the rear of the plane to toast your Marshmallows.
👏👏👏
It also tastes horrible. Kerosene+gas covered marshmallows don't taste very good just putting that out there.
I was lucky enough to take a back seat ride in a 14 and I understand why our guys love to fly It is the most fun you can have with your clothes on
Hell yeah, those guys must have some adrenaline rush sending those birds off...
Imagine the adrenaline rush of the guys inside
just the coolest thing
Beautiful plane.

Whats a fod walk
@@swagga7644 People are standing side by side in the width of the runway, walking along the entire runway, picking up the debris so that they don't enter the aircraft inlet.
Wow
such many people,such big noise

Everyone has a hard on for the f-14, but I think the hornet is a good competition for the tomcat in terms of beautiful deadliness
I love f14 my fav aircraft and still is but I’ve grown to love the f18 she’s pretty aircraft
I honestly think the Super Hornet is a superior aircraft, both in terms of looks and actual operation. Multi-role fighters have, in my opinion, more of a place in the Navy than dedicated Interceptors/Air superiority fighters. And as well, the F/A-18 is more maneuverable than the Tomcat and cheaper and easier to maintain. The F-14 Tomcat was a logistical nightmare relative to the actual combat yield they offered to the Navy.
Is there a time limit how long the engines can be at full throttle on the deck waiting for launch?
Just out of curiosity, what are those numbers for the one that is painted on the plane
Like, the aircraft,,,its listed in phjilipine airforce, acquisition project. Phi noy...
One day انشاءالله ☝️
Love them..super awesome 🇺🇸🇺🇸
I assume the early part of the video when they are all walking in a line they are looking for debris on the flight deck?
Yeah I call it a police line and you just stare at the ground till you see debris
I would take a ride past the beach

Who's in charge of assigning the pilots to fly the F/A-18E Super Hornet E(solo) or F/A-18F Super Hornet (with partner/WSO)?
Personally, I like the E because I want to be solo on a plane.
Question for anyone, because I'm curious:
Aircraft leave the carrier with the stabilizers roted down, but how is that? Don't the pilots "flush the controls" before take-off, and then go hands-off during the cat launch? (I _think_ I said all of that right)
Just wasn't sure how that worked.
Looks Kool and even look like hornets 🐝taking off 😶
Do Pilots faint for seconds in this particular takeoff 🛫?
Now that's what I call a lube job LOL
no dancing and kicking this time guys? lol
0:40 what helicopter was that?
What are they doing when they walking together real slow?at 18 seconds in..maybee the ground check for loose objects?
Yeah, they go across the deck in a line every day to check for bolts, metal, or anything else that could damage aircraft or cause and accident
@@BarkeviousDBrickashaw right we did similar at an airbase usaf..but this navy f.o.d. check is seriously tighter.. way tighter...

There are four different types of F/A 18s in the U.S navy.
Do instructors leave a counted # of stray bolts on runway to test the crew during a FOC?
Id say no because in the case of them missing it and the instructors forgetting where it was now you have fod in an unknown location on the flight deck. Good way to halt a flight schedule
There's already enough to pick up, we don't intentionally place fod down
