The way Seinfeld indulges his eccentric friends is epic. Doesn't judge them, sees them as they are. That's how he gets the material for his stand-up gig and manages to stay sane. Quality worth emulating.
The ending is perfect. I love it when the plots interweave so precisely that the ending is the result of everything coming together in the most epic and hilarious way.
@Dan Ellis there are tons of comedies as good as Seinfeld, people comparing is wrong yes its good but what competition did it have in America, uk has tons
Yes there is potentially : Seinfeld Uncut. They say that at least half of the comic material had to be cut down to achieve the duration of the episodes. I am not sure it was ever shooted though, maybe it is just on paper. But it is there somewhere.
A lot of ad libs come in a scene like this where the joke rests on punchline, but the actor is given artistic license to come-up with something funny in the moment. They usually do a lot of takes and pick the best. A lot of things could have been the punchline, "I could still do...(something fairly irrelevant/unimportant)" as the arbitrariness of what he could still do while being severely debilitated is the source of the joke.
@George Lincoln Rockwell Archive Wow. I did not make this comment above. I do not have the capability to analyze a scene of a TV show with such mastery. Thanks for replying to it so I could be alerted to a comment made on my account, but not made by me... Whatever happened, whether it was a friend or a hacker, they were at least very articulate (a good indicator that it wasn't I who wrote it, lol).
They cut out the part where Jerry says "given the opportunity..." from the tv episode on TBS! I've been watching part episodes this whole time! What else have I missed! They're rrrrrrripping me off!
When you've seen something countless times, you're watching _alone_ and something makes you laugh out loud, that's a mark of great comedy. (Kramer's 'I can still go to the coffee shop'.)
I must have seen every Seinfeld episode more than a dozen times and it gets funnier every time. From the double dip to George running out of the house in a burning fire knocking everybody out of the way. Or Jerry dropping his girlfriend's toothbrush into the water. That there's also a show that's incredibly funny too if you get a chance to watch it curb your enthusiasm happens to be one of the funniest shows on TV. I truly recommend it to anybody that's in the mood to laugh like you're watching Seinfeld!!
Ben Stein plays the lawyer. He had a highly accomplished legal and political career. Brilliant writer. Pop culture remembers him as in ferris bueller's day off.
weirdshibainu (Ezekiel) Zeke Hamish Beckley: Highly accomplished? "Magnum DONG?" You think you're a real big shot, don't you Mag? Let me guess, you specified in your "living will" that "should I no longer be able to function sexually, yank my wheel chair, my pacemaker, and cancel my prescription for Viagra!"
I really hope so; we're hardly watching Jerry Lewis' 50s movies anymore.. (And I'm not hoping for remakes starring Eddy Murphy's son as Jerry, and John Wick's great grandson as George either)

Ben Stein pretty much always has been. I believe he was also on Nixon's White House staff for a short time. Like Trump's man Roger Stone, though in a more low-profile position.
In an earlier episode (either Season 2 or 3), Kramer and Jerry have a conversation about comas and Kramer clearly understands that one can wake up from a coma. Somehow he forgot that several years later.
The way Seinfeld indulges his eccentric friends is epic. Doesn't judge them, sees them as they are. That's how he gets the material for his stand-up gig and manages to stay sane. Quality worth emulating.
Jerry’s eccentric too

"I didn't know it was possible not to know that."
Underrated line
"I didn't know it was possible to come out of a coma!"
"I didn't know it was possible to not know that."
It was actually "not to know that", with the "not" first, then the "to". Your way changes the flow of the delivery.

They skipped over the best part, when Kramer is eating cereal and watched her come out of the coma. His reaction is classic.
Where's my toothbrush!?
It was ramen noodles, not cereal.
My favorite part is him getting pelted with tennis balls and slowly sliding down the wall! LOL
that too - I feel so rested and refreshed .. Get me a toothbrush!
Also left out when he got hit in the head with tennis balls from a machine
yank it like you're starting a mower...
There's something of mine Julia could yank
Yeah she can pull my cord all day and night
Season 3 maybe but later seasons she looks like a Montana house wife

Unlikely to be an ad-lib, since the entire joke rests on that punch line.
