"A Team of Clowns" Sounds like every other battle I get into. Between the horrendous matchmaking and the really new players not knowing anything yet, combines to totally FUBAR the battle many times. It is what it is I guess.
Pretty frustrating.
Newbies are okay to me if we are defeated. But i always
See players that hive five thousand games and yet just camp in the edge and dont do anything and get angry?
I stopped playing years ago for exactly this reason

I often times find myself in situations where I'm like the only (appropriate) tank on a flank (e.g. heavy tank on heavy line) realizing too late that noone came with me.
Or having 4-5 tanks on a hill and just one hull-down monster farming everyone up; but noone wants to push with me... GGWP I guess.
In case you have any tipps how to enjoy the game more, I'd be grateful. Btw: Grinding crap tanks is one of the most frustrating parts of WOT to me and I've just deinstalled yesterday. I'll see when if ever I go back to this game lol

@@lawrence500 Those situations are actually quite normal for me to experience. Feel like a newbie in a game full of OP "Blueprint Tanks" I can feel you. In terms of Being Happy. I only go Tier 7 and 5. Only Tier 10s and 8s For Missions. Just Enjoy The Real World War 2 Tanks Like AEG said.
Damn, was looking forward to see the results of the match to see how much impact those clowns actually had. Probably not too much, lol.

@@user-rb9wz8or1mimagine if the tds moved into a position from where they could support the manticore, or the mediums on the hill trying to get shots in from above instead of trying to be impostor heavies that lost all of their HP just because they were sitting there trading shots.
But sure, blame the manticore.
If you look closely, it's also a war thing. The platoon is insulting the Manticore as a "Ukrainian bot" while the Manticore comes back at them saying "Russian c*nts"...
When defeatist players scuttle their tank, but your team fights on regardless of the odds and ends up winning 🤣

Clowns I've found lately:
Guy who bought one of the strongest Tier VIIIs does nothing and dies, causing our flank to fall and then proceeds to insult the team
9 year player in the T77 throws a tantrum because the team didn't go where he wanted to and goes afk
SuperPershing dies after landing 2 shots, then becomes General Know-nothing and tries to guide us by insulting us. He wanted me to chase a Bourrasque in a TD instead of sitting is cap, wich was what baited the Bourrasque into me and gave us the win
2 kids who met each other last battle get placed in the same team the next battle and start discussing. Because they were the meds, nobody was doing the job of a Med
I feel for the manticore as. Even in my best light tank games someone will still tell me to go and die
Best way is just to 'ignore' the clowns.

Always tempted to return to the game when watching your vids. I stopped back a few years ago and everything I had was pretty much out of date and powercrept like crazy though, I doubt it's gotten better.
The worst part is the amount of OP reward and premium tanks, combined with shit RNG

Anyway, to the OP... I'm also in the same situation, after a year of pausing from WoT. TBH, I miss it sometimes, but no way I'd come back into that atrocious gameplay with overpowered premium tanks and with clown cars breaking physics. It's just not worth it. And, with time, I miss WoT less and less.
@@damyrshit RNG doesn't necessarily have to be the synonym for bad aiming, it can often happen there is a tank on low hp which you have enough alpha damage to destroy, but you low roll and die (speaking from experience, of course)
as for the rest of your comment, i agree. i'm still actively playing the game but it just disgusts me every day more and more

@@damyr No, the game is absolutely picking favourites. Lifting a lucky few players up while keeping the rest down.
I used to pen about eighty percent of my shots, and an ace tanker medal was something that would happen just about every day that I played. Now I pen half or even one third of my shots. Even when my team is losing so bad that it would make no difference on the outcome of the match if the game were to make every one of my shots magic bullets that always pen so there is no reason to screw over half my shots or even two thirds of them, the game still does it. Going with the ten or even five percent of the outer aiming circle that is off the tank or on a piece of armor that is too thick or angled. Instead of the ninety percent of the outer aiming circle that is on a piece of armor that would pen, even after being fully aimed. Just to screw me over so that I only pen half my shots, or even one third if the game is really hating me that match.
Even when the tables are turned and I'm racing the many players left on my team for the last player on the opposing team. There is no chance that last tank could possibly win, but the game has to grant that tank every shot on me that it takes and take out a crew or module with every shot. It's not enough to just do damage. The game has to give me the hardest time, no matter the situation. The odds are always stacked against me, so I have to play as such.
The game is absolutely not playing fair anymore.
I've learned to spot where the deciding battle is taking place on a map and to just throw myself in there. If I survive, great. If I don't, whatever. If I'm a part of the final stand in a match like quicky here was in this video, no matter how many team players are apart of the final stand, I may as well just sit there and watch cause the game is not going to let me have anymore shots.
I can just hear the game. "No, your not allowed to play. Stop trying to take shots. Stop trying to use cover. Stop trying to angle your armor. Just sit there and watch. You're just a damage farm for the opposing players. You're not allowed to play."
I remember catching this one live, what an end to the stream! Just gotta play harder and carry the clowns.
nothing frustrate me more than when tanks decide to leave and run away from a flank after receiving couple of hits they think running away will save the game. sometime it does but majority of time you don't abandon flank like that platoon did they should have held the position with more caution.
i think they probably made the right call since if they lost all their hp and didnt do any dmg then surely they have to change thair approach which sadly would condem their slow allies..
In this situation it was the correct call though. It would have been even better to not contest the hill at all considering the lineups of the teams. It was very clear from the start of the match that the enemies were much better suited for the hill and therefore would probably win it.

The platoon made the right play to retreat down to the tree line seeing that the enemy team have a chieftain and S.conq on the hill along with some other misc tanks...only a small amount of tanks can actually stay at the slope and hold them at bay
apart from the shit talking...they made the best calls for what is best for them
No you guys did not get what i meant to say. They are not down much but just couple of hits. Right call is when you don't have backup of TD's behind they unnecessary peak enemy more and get hit and run instead of bait them so TD's can delete them. For an example, in one game in murovanka everyone from my flank ran despite TD's kept requesting to hold the flank. I came back risking it and me with grille and strv 103 behind manage to delete 6 enemy tanks including 2 heavies. It you just run away you give a chance for enemy to progress and if TD die or have to fall back the flank is gone and you are surrounded. (I am not talking about this scenario but overall even when tanks can hold still they run away it that is frustrating)
i normally win almost all my games when someone says in chat "gg next loose". or they suicide, or they just play bad. but at the end, the team wins. happens so many times, and even encourage me to win a press harder.
Love how that Bobject player thought the 268v4 is meant to be a backline sniper and spent nearly the entire battle in the K0 corner.
A bit of an idiot, yes, though to be fair the 3 degrees of gun depression can be a bit frustrating on the hill. He did go scout when someone had to, so there's that at least.
To be fair, if you go up the hill and your teammates don't want to push with you, that massive weak point will bring you down real quick.
Problem with trolls inside WoT is not when they start to bicker in the chat, but when they start to actively prevent you from having a good, impactful game. I remember a case, when a platoon of two KV-2s, plain and simple declared in the chat that they are a couple of idiots, who are going to mess the game for everyone. They were using new accounts, so reporting them, won't actually stop them from future shenanigans. They blocked everyone the could, tried to overturn vehicles and be a nuisance in every way they could. I recall a battle, when an O-ho just decided to push everyone around ( including me ), as they gave up on the battle from the start. So, having a chat battle is not the worse thing, that could happen in a WoT game

Playing in a Light tank is hell. You obviously need to practice to get good at it, but people expect all lights to be the best possible spotter/player possible.
And I'd love to see that psychology thing done as a proper study, see if there is a correlation between team cohesivness and attitude.
yes and people also dont realize just how fucking hard it it to scout good, then relly on your teammates to hit shots (they usually dont). Its really easy to tell an LT player what to do when youre camping a bush at redline, much harder to play the LT and analize the game/map.
I remember this one match I was playing awhile back in my T29. I was doing decent, wasn't having the greatest of games that day. Got blown up shortly afterwards for making a bad move. (Don't we all have that from time to time????)Had this one guy during the march constantly nag at me, then was telling everyone report T29 for making bad moves. Cussing up a storm. Then when the match was over, the guy took his time to find me and personally message me saying some very harsh stuff that you really dont need to tell somebody. And tried to contact wargaming to get me in trouble. Obviously nothing happened because I'm still playing to this day and enjoying it for almost nine years 😊. Because we gotta remember, it's just a game and we try to have a good time and have fun.

You touched on a great point regarding going into matches with a positive attitude. I don't play WOT as much as I did a handful of years ago. One thing I always tried to do though is at the countdown sau "hey guys, let's work together, focus fire, and have fun. GL" or something to that effect.
It seemed that the vast majority of the time, you were met with a bunch of affirmatives, and the occasional Debbie Downer, but the matches always seemed to go better in our favor. May not always have won them, but it is at least seemed like everybody tried to work as a team and gave it their best. I ended up meeting and playing with random folks over the years by chatting with them after a good, and maybe forming a platoon for the evening.
Point is, I really think it works and improves your time with the game and overall fun. After all, it's a video game, and we play them to have fun.
Anyways, keep up your excellent work. I may not have played in a good while but I always enjoy watching your content since my buddies and I first started playing when the game came out. Thanks for helping folks become better at something they enjoy doing in their spare time.

the way I talked to clowns is that I talked back to them and try to roast them but never really works lol.
Sad part is that when you meet enough clowns, you become one.
WG needs to bring back "All Chat" talking smack to the enemy was great. Though players are different today then they were 10 years ago. A decade ago we had fun with it, everyone knew this is just a GAME. Today's players are triggered so easily, so serious and stat driven. People scream in chat: "Report! Report! tank XXX isn't playing how I want him too".
I would gladly give up the fancy graphic, game modes, and awards to go back to a time when everyone played the GAME and had FUN.

Just returned to world of tanks. Haven't played all year but quite enjoying it.
I used to play a lot but maps like Pilsen made me really hate the game. I despise Pilsen. I installed WoT yesterday, actually. (Xbox). First match? Pilsen.

Damn good catch! I always forget how ricocheted shots are still free game to still cause dmg because it doesn't happen very often. At least to me.

I had a pair of platoons in a game, 1 set decided to yolo and get garaged in 2mins, the other set redlined, complained and played submarine😂6mins in and we won the game in 12...
XVM really screws some people up, to others it's a challenge...😊
Platooning with friends and fucking around is more fun than playing normally 😂occasionally I'll get a platoon of three HORRIBLE tanks with some friends and just have fun

I can understand the chat. However, most going up on the hill doesn't help, the team should have spread out over the map more and pushed. Most of my games I constantly see players just camping at the back (let them come) and then get rushed. Most of the time , it's game rigging platoons, which I had yesterday, that wouldn't even push for Assault, just camped and let the time run out. Personally, I think clans and platoons should have a server and those alone for random battles. I really enjoy this game, but just lately it's terrible.
i feel you bro, nothing worse than having a three player platoon of muppets as top tier, pretty much insta loss...and lately not just platoons people in general playing like absolute retards. Retard positions, 0 awareness, people blocking me intentionally, getting rushed by 7-8 players because my whole team is redline... Just yesterday had an El halluf tier 10 game where my ENTIRE TEAM camped base/west. Not a SINGLE player went towards the north east where the main fight takes place. Ive literally never seen that on el halluf in 17k battles.
Its definitely not game-rigging platoons "most of the time." I play on EU and pretty much never see any obvious rigging.
@@StanleyMilgramm I play The EU Server. At the end of each game, you look at the stats. You'll see many players (2011-2013) that didn't score any damage, nor even fire one shot.
@@captricharddee3634 I always check the post battle scoreboard and I have seen obvious rigging maybe once or twice in the last 15k battles. A player doing 0 damage or firing 0 shots is in no way evidence for wrongdoing.
Best thing I ever did when learning League of Legends, was to Mute all players at the start of the game. Same method i employed with world of tanks, Fantastic morale shield. Allows me play better and learn from my own mistakes.

I try to avoid feeding those types of people in matches. Also why I tend to not play LTs anymore. Either, I do great personal damage while spotting and lighting up my opponents and my team cannot hit anything, or I get no personal damage with lots of spotting damage and blamed for the team's lost despite doing better than everyone else. Feels like LTs get no love from other players in this game.

Welcome to literally every single game of WoT nowadays. Some things get better with age. World of Tanks definitely did not. It went to hell with the clown cars and kept going further down ever since.
Perhaps "Goon Platoon" is a bit more appropriate?
And it's also important to remember that everyone has their own play style and there are reason why they do something.. it's so anoying when people expect everyone to play the same. Some team mates just want you to do something you just can't do at that moment like you should be some kind of a wizard
Nothing worse than a platoon of 3 bad players who think they are good and blame and berate everyone else even tho they play like muppets themselves.

Great spot to defend, I was in the same spot in an E3 and got 5 kills as they came down the hill. I had no choice only 2 tanks went up top. They didn't last long.

High tier lights get lambasted all the time - which is part of the reason so few people play them.

Light tanks always get the most abuse as many players are ignorant of what they are trying to achieve particularly when passive spotting.

Good luck communicating at the beginning and during the game any hint of strategy. I’m a 49% player so my teams driving the short bus. Win your flank and fall back to help the other flank. Push by yourself and get wrecked
I have stayed with a single player when others ran ,against 6 tanks and we held out because the enemy team didn’t rush and we farmed them down. So it goes both ways and dying on your sword with Honor beside your teammate isn’t so bad
Was in my tier X light last day and a platoon started pushing me out of cover because I was passive and they didnt like that, we ended up winning and I was better than that entire platoon combined. I see that as a challenge to outplay those guys.
All part of the multiplayer experience . Stop being PRECIOUS and play .

Fridays and Saturdays are the worst....all the weekend warriors jump in there 10' s and try to remember how to play.
I run 10/10/0 on my Deathstar, I Find the AP makes quite the Impression... But I also Balance Out my Cost Payout by Swapping between Shell Types each Round... The Deathstar is Currently Dressed in the Into Space Camo and I call it my Fun Police, only thing Missing is the Blinking Lights... lol
i actually think there's a Mod for that in Aslains, I'll have to have a Look See... hmmmm....

Best thing to do is disable chat so you only see commands (fall back, help, assistance, reloading etc) and positions that other players are going to on the map, chat is too toxic and i've been in the position of the Manticore player where others gang up asking to report you which is horrible

i remember when i started playing WoT and people in chat at start was like: GL&HF and >80% of players were like: U2!
but that was years ago.... now if someone does it maybe 1 other player will say:u2
for me the chat is 90% useless pinging or people shouting curses at other players
and it's so bad... i just ignore chat (which is bad) but when the chat us mostly useless why bother looking at it
my fav is players in the back pinging me to fall back when i'm in a position not to do that without getting insta killed
they won't help of course and just keep pinging you or telling one how stupid one is for being there in the first place

it's a toxic game, so if one like to be screwed by a game ,WOT is a good game to start with.
This happens in my games all the time, so much so that I have just simply disabled chat and play on.
It´s not about team/play anymore but for their own glory, no matter if the team wins or not. Like irl it´s egoism and individualism.
In pub games I stopped reading the chat because I find zero value in it, except say "hi" to someone I recognize.
Also, when I had my sixth loss in a row after unlocking my T-150 I did mention it every game until the twelfth game. All the games I mentioned it, our teams were decently close, but still lost, one time I got berated and was told to uninstall the game. hahaha!
I've noticed that if I wish "GL" in the beginning of the game it usually goes wrong. So I only respond affirmativelly when someone else wishes GL.
