    Some vestiges of the old Honda are still alive! Thanks to your videos, I ended up with a 24 Sport hatch...with the CVT. At least it's the same color. I love the car. So far so good. The only big issue I had was self-inflicted. When I replaced the reverse and turn signal bulbs (the same ones used on my 10th gen), I ended up popping two fuses on the BCM, which freaked out the car. What's worse, whoever did a hard reset failed to tighten the positive cable. Either way, Im happy with mine.

    Right now I have the Stage 1 intake kit from PRL (which is the same as this, but it only comes with the inlet hose and upgraded drop in filter) and the stock resonator deleted. I was thinking of upgrading to the PRL HVI box and cone filter since you can buy all the parts separately on their website, but if it's only a slight bump in intake noise, I'm gonna pass for now. Thanks for sharing and making my decision easier!

    • @NAUS2K
      @NAUS2K  Před 3 měsíci +3

    • @jaymingles
      @jaymingles Před 3 měsíci

      I'm actually gonna drop the stock one back in for now. Didn't realize how sketchy the oiled filters were. It made no difference in the induction noise anyway. Only the inlet tubing changed the sound a bit.

  • @eric9249
    @eric9249 Před 3 měsíci +2

    I give you a thumbs up for your presentation! After watching, I don't think I'd bother with any intake on this car. The OEM piece seems well designed to me, and, I can't pick up a significant difference in tone! The only mods I'm contemplating is a 93 octane tune and possibly lowering it an inch. When I destroy the OEM wheels, (inevitable on NYC roads), I will upgrade to a lower weight wheel/tire combo. End of mods for this car!

    • @NAUS2K
      @NAUS2K  Před 6 dny

      It’s more restrictive than an oiled filter yes, but this one has significantly more surface area than the oiled filter to negate that. Dryflow actually does its job and filters the air. It’s still less restrictive than the stock air filter. Were you tuned with the oiled air filter then switch to a dry flow and noticed the fuel trims change? If custom tuned that could have a lot to do with it

      You can hear the engine more when you stab the throttle, so it may make the experience feel like it’s more responsive, but definitely a placebo. The only way to improve response would be a remap on the ECU (Ktuner) or similar

Wish they had an Si with K20c2 engine, so that chassis/suspension structure wouldn’t be an issue if you were to make it into dedicated track car. 1.5T not ideal since it’ll have to quit the track after a few laps and K20C2 can go all day long.

      Yes I watched it all. Information was great. Thinking of purchasing your plugs since you were the first I saw that ever made it for our models. but idk if it would make any difference since I have the PRL N1 exhaust and high volume installed.

      If you have the hvi installed no point in buying the plugs unless you just want to close it in so dirt and debris don’t accumulate in it

      Better than what? The PRL? They are basically the same thing, incredibly thin filtration media coated in oil

      @@NAUS2K you can hook an OBD scanner that is capable of reading your engine temperature willing running and tested with stock setup and aftermarket setup this usually happens because your air temperature sensor reads different suck a little cooler air and raise the engine temperature so check it out

      Both the stock intake and this intake use the same air duct to the front grill. The intake air temps will be identical. An air filter doesn’t change the temperature of the air

    All that effort time & money spent for what? I really don't see any changes whatsoever with sound wise. And I don't really foresee any performance improvement either. This is just some gimmick that aftermarket manufacturers do to sell stuff for car enthusiasts wanting to improve their ❤ vehicle's worth. 😅
