Imo, Irene started to gain position advantage when Hikaru allows the nd6, very good square.
@@kashmir5173 I agree. Hikaru does that all the time. He likes to create an imbalance position to create chances to win. But then again, Irene did well to maintain her lead and lay some traps in case Hikaru didn't realize.

In terms of pure strength, Irene is for sure GM level if she plays consistently well! So much potential to be competitive at the top
she is very strong thats for sure but not gm level yet
@@user-os4vs5pl2v her classical play at top form is really good, but to be fair i have selection bias in that I don’t follow most games. She played a game against Wagner from germany couple years ago & that was very impressive from her play & analysis
she 'only' needs 1 GM norm to be a GM though.

My gosh !!!!! That game was awesome!!!!!!! Seeing the pieces I at first thought hanging until I noticed a potential revealed check that Hikaru of course saw ... Then utter chaos as whoo it's an endgame!!!! Then Hikaru forks the queen and king but only has a knight while you got pass pawn... Wow

The correct one: Can you write in English, please? Hahhh... Indonesian people are too bad at English. Most people from that country cannot speak English.
1st mistake: people who speak English or at least are currently learning and have a gut to criticize other people would never use “on” in this context.
2nd mistake: “language”: Can you spell a word properly first, please? And then you might mock someone else later.
3rd and the most stupid mistake by the most English person in this comment section: You cannot make a sentence like that. I cannot even get the meaning of it. I separate it into two sentences so you might learn how to write a proper sentence. In this case, I’m not referring to English only, but also to any language you might speak.
Each language has its own rules, and it is fine to make mistakes sometimes. But mocking someone who doesn’t speak a certain language is not appropriate. And mocking someone using language you even suck at is really embarrassing. In order to mock someone, you probably want to learn some basic grammar first.
(There is no way the mistakes you made were typos except the second one, so learn harder from now on and fu*k off)

Yes. But the king and knight are both 1 square short
The answer to how you beat Hikaru... is hikaru shows he's also human. He confused/forgot some opening theory or strategy. He pins his own bishop to his queen with Be7-Bb4 and it can no longer prevent the knight hop to d6. After that Hikaru's position is awlful and a mess. Anyway a win is a win congratz🎉
That's right, that was the key step to victory, which in the end Hikaru was too late in holding the pieces C6 and D5, if you look at Hikar's expression, he made a mistake by letting C6 and D5 and there were many choices of steps that could have been taken, including the king to H6
Hikaru's thinking is not wrong, on the contrary that is what is unique about chess players, they have their own intelligence in thinking to complete a game.

somehow he still managed to get a "playable" position by kicking the knight out of d6 although white had a lot permanent pratical play advantage considering the time format, because of space domination and king safety
