    Christine, I went to a local furniture store last weekend to ask for fabric swatches....and bought a new sofa and recliner. 😂😂😂. Oh, I did get a bundle of nice swatches so will have to decide what to make with them to sell. Thanks for all the great ideas and not being afraid to share all your mistakes with us. 😉🤗🤗💞💞💞

      haha, that is so funny Teresa. Chris and I recently went to purchase a thermos flask from a tool shop. We left with several expensive tools for Chris's shed, and no flask😁

    Love this, another well thought, fast and easy method. The big bag could also hold a musical instrument like a recorder, a pair of maracas, a microphone with its roll of cable ... Thanks Christine :)

    Another clever & useful project. Thanks Christine. I've had to do over 200 scrunchies iin the last month for orders and I have thought about you for every one. lol.

    The Decovil bag looks nice, but I think it would be much easier to work with on a bigger bag, and a larger turning hole. For lining you could use the silver heat resistant ironing board cover fabric and you'd have a perfect bag for a curling iron. Use PUL waterproof fabric for a makeup or toiletry bag. 😊

      @ChristinesHomeAffairs  Před rokem

      That's a great idea Teresa, and yes, a bigger bag would have been much better for the Decovil😀

    Quite by accident, I found that if you press the decoville (heating it up again) just prior to turning, it turns like a dream. I now do that with all my stablizers :D

    Great bags ! I used Decovil for a messenger bag, but It had a drop in lining so I had no flipping insideout😅

    I’m still very hesitant to try a curved zipper, even tho I’ve been sewing over 50 years. This might be the project that is the breakthrough

    • @sheilasantiago3715
      @sheilasantiago3715 Před rokem

      I did my first curved zipper yesterday. It's SO easy if you use the double sided tape.. It was the first time using the tape too and I'll never go without it again

    • @Teresa-L.2024
      @Teresa-L.2024 Před rokem

      Give it a try - it is easier than it looks. If you clip into just the edge of the zipper (about ⅛" at most) you'll find the zipper gives more around the curves.

    • @ChristinesHomeAffairs
      @ChristinesHomeAffairs  Před rokem

    Great little project. Do you have access to Decovil Light? Good structure but easier to turn. Thanks for this clever idea. I’m going to size it to hold our Chop Stick collection to keep them from rattling around in the drawer. You’re the best, Christine! 😊

    Another great project. My wife says thank you. Do you have a simple crossbody bag with zip fastening but no other hardware? She has been given a child’s denim dress to cut up and thought it might be an idea to make a very simple bag.
