I’ve watched a lot of bag tutorials - so far this looks like the easiest that I can understand - game changer for me. Thank you!
That's fabulous Patricia. I'm so pleased you like it😀
I agree. I can make these as Christmas gifts for family and friends.
Thanks Christine! I love your clear, concise instructions.
You are so welcome Wahine. Thank you😀
This is the best tutorial I have seen thus far!😊
Thank you Rhea😀
I love your little bag.
Thanks Lucille
When you are adding your handles, insert a 3 inch loop of ribbon in the centre of one side as well. It makes it easier to hang them at the checkout that way.😉
Where would you hang it? We have different foldable bags, we put on inside another and put them on the belt infront of our foods, the checker checks the bags incase we stuffed something in.
@@SparkyOne549 our checkouts in Australia have little hooks they used to hang the plastic bags from as they packed them. The hooks are also at the self service checkouts. It keeps the bags upright and open
I enjoyed this tutorial very much. Thank you!
It's funny Sharon, when I first started making the supermarket bags, I always added the loop, and then the stores changed their layout. Now they have the old layout again and the loops are useful once again.😁
Thankyou Christine, for another fabulous tutorial.
You're very welcome Shar. Thank you😁
Oooh! Thanks Christine. Very simply explained. I think I could make a couple of these for gifts.
They'll make great gifts Heather😀
Christine, I must say that you are such a gifted sewing teacher. You are thorough and clear. My mind is bursting with ideas for up cycling materials from light weight night gowns to scarves. Thank you for the great tutorial.
You are so welcome Rebecca. Thank you so much😁
Another great one, Christine. A great addition to your foldable bags. I have realized that I keep adding your great projects to the kids Christmas Lists because I think they will love them. Mmmm so far they all have 8 or 9 items on their lists. Maybe I will start for next Christmas, lol.
Haha, the kids are going to be very spoilt Judi😀
love the way you keep your snaps, great tutorial
Thanks Helen. They're great little containers😀
Thank you so much Christine, I've used your pattern for library bags for our local primary school, just added a popper on the top end so books don't fall out. They are a great hit with teachers, parents & children. So a big "Thank you" for your generosity in sharing your ideas & patterns.
That's awesome Dianne. Thank you😁
LOOOOVE this@@ChristinesHomeAffairs
I love how you make the boxed corners!! You’ve cut out a few steps. Thank you very much!
I’ll be finished w/ rehab by September and want to show gratitude. This might be a sweet thank you gift for the 14 nurses and support staff. You’re so generous. ❤
This will be a lovely gift, and so useful too😀
Love your quick and simple projects. ❤
Have you ever make soap bags? Terry on the inside, permeable fabric on the outside and a snap. They are great for handmade soap, solid shampoo and so. They are also quick and easy to sew.
I've just uploaded a video for soap savers Sybille😀
Thank you for another lovely project.
You're very welcome Cynthia😀
Love this bag
Amazing 👏
Thanks so much 😊
Great video - exactly what I was looking for. During a recent trip to a local discount store we discovered that they are now charging 15 cents for a plastic bag. Making several of these bags we could save money and save the planet.
Absolutely! It amazes how many people are actually happy to pay for the bags when there are far better alternatives to plastic😀
I never thought of using such a lightweight fabric for such a bag. Genius!
I confess, I see my customers pulling them out of their bags all the time. Being so lightweight, they seem to be more manageable 😀
So awesome! nice and quick. You can never have enough folding bag patterns to go to. Thank you for this tutorial.
You are so welcome Terri😀
Thank you! Quick, easy, and functional! 😊
Thanks Pam. Quick is good😁
What a lovely, easy foldable carry bag. You explain things so very clearly Christine, you are a born teacher giving very clear step by step instructions anyone can follow. Hello from East Gippsland xxx
That's so lovely Pauline. Thank you 😊 I think we're headed to Traralgon for a big tournament in June 🏓
Thanks so much for the bag tutorial. We live in Wisconsin US and taking our first road trip since Covid. Took a lesson from you and cut out 2 bags. My husband loves bags. We go to antique and resale shops on our trips. A bag in our pockets will be a good addition for us. I finished them both in a couple of hours. Thanks again!
Thank you. You may need quite a few more bags if this is your first road trip Christine😀
Will definitely be making a few of these great tutorial.
Thank you Susan😀
Fast and beautifully finished. Thanks Christine!
Thank you Dannie😀
Excellent thank you ❤
Thank you Diane😊
Thank you for teaching us your skill! Great job! :)
My pleasure Tracy. Thank you😀
Fantastic, fabulous, genius, thank you so much Christine.
You are so welcome!
Love this Christine and I know I could make this one very easily. TFS this one.
You are so welcome Pamela. It's certainly an easy one😊
Lovely❤

They sure would Eve😀
Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you create this cute and adorable bag. You explain everything so well, and they do make a useful addition to your bag. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Thank you Mags. You too😀
Oh, Christine, I love the way you think, ie, quick, easy, impressive looking! You are always my go-to when I’m looking for how to do something.
I’m thinking of making hair towels and sleep masks for Christmas presents. Have you ever done either of those? Pretty simple, but I know I’m missing something….. would love to see you so these! Thank you for your great videos!!😃♥️
Coral, I'm hoping to do a very simple hair towel very soon 🙂
OCD haha you are hysterical and so clever and practical my girl!! Can’t wait till I can sew again!❤🎉
Surely it can't be too much longer Tina. How's the recovery going?
Nice. Me likey ❤
Glad you like it Cyn. Thank you😃
L_I_K_E 👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯🤩🤩🤩🤩 😎😎😎
Thank you😀
Great project Christine, i think id use elastic instead of the ties.
Thanks for the idea. 😊
I agree Janet. The elastic would save some time too😀
I love this bag but think I’d actually add the snap tabs to the inside to keep the bag neater looking from the outside. Just quickly turn the bag inside out before you fold and snap closed.😉
I think that's a brilliant idea Cathy. Couldn'y you have let me know earlier?🤣🤣

🪡🪡🪡🪡🛍🛍🛍🛍🙂🙂🙂🙂💓💓💓💓 thank you I will be making some of these what would be a suggested price of these to sell , I hate having all these different store bags to mush of a mess. and not consistent a real pain to deal with thank you
Thank you Joy. Pricing will depend mostly on how much you pay for your fabric. I don't plan on selling these ones just yet (I haven't even sold any strawberry bags), but because they only take about 15 min to make, I'd sell them at about $10 based on my labour only. If I had to purchase the fabric, I'd need to recover the price I paid, and then some so I'd make them $15 (I still buy fabric wholesale). Not sure how it compares to your exchange rate though, and your fabric is less espensive than here too.
We have several community groups called Boomerang Bags in Australia, and they make so many of these very lightweight bags for free, that I don't think I'd be able to sell many at all 😁
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs :)
Hi Christine, What a quick&easy bag. What would you sell at? I have a small business at home that I sew for people,Like you said they come in and see them& love them.
Love your ideas.I watched your strawberry bag the other day,it is so cute, Thank you again for a great idea.
Thanks Caroline. I'm not selling these, but would price them at $10-$15 😊
Love French seams, they are so professional looking. Another wonderful project. When do you have time to work in your shop or even rest.😊
haha, I have plenty of naps Debbie. In the shop things always seem to work out somehow. This weekend I had only two alterations, but plenty of stock to price. Next week I'll hopefully get to make more bags😁
Thank you Christine. Will you be making these for the shop? I saw sometime made a comment for a soap bag tutorial, that sounds like a really good idea. My daughter uses shampoo bars but sometimes has difficulty getting them to foam up. I'm thinking this might be solved with the right kind of fabric.
Whatever you sew, I'll be watching because I love your tutorials.
Have a lovely weekend, Diane 😘
Diane, I don't think I'll make these for the shop as so many customers actually have them in their bags already, and I don't think I could sell them at my prices.I did see the comment about the soap bags, and hope to find some time this week to make them😀
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs Oh good. I'll be watching out for that. 😊
OCD😂I have mine sorted not only by colour but I also divide them into three- the top, the male and female parts of the snap set,
OK, I confess to doing that for my black ones Ina😂
Any tips getting such nicely crisp folds? Love all your tutorials!
Thanks Linda. I hate to say it, but the best thing for crisp edges is the iron. There are also seam rollers that are suposedly good too. Might have to see if they are any good😀
I love those tiny snaps. What size are they? Great bag tutorial
Thanks Karen. They're a size 20 T5 plastic snap from Ebay or Amazon😀
Hi Christine, I have watched all your videos and I was influenced by your reviews on the ProSew industrial so much that I bought one and am loving it. However, I saw you sew this fine, silky fabric with the ProSew and wondered how. Mine would chew this love,y material. I mainly bought it for vinyl and leather bag making and love it for that, but it gives me problems with linings. I feel it could be due to tension, but I’m unsure as to how to correct it. Can you give me any advice. Also I’m a little isolated from retailers of these machines as I live in southern Tasmania, so I can’t just “pop in” to ask.
Sorry for the delay in responding Gaye.
Is it the same model as mine? Have you tried adjusting the foot pressure? If you call Adam at ProSew in Port Macquarie, he will be able to advise you. He's very helpful. There's also the Jack Sewing machine Facebook page that will help too. It's run by ProSew dealers🙂
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs I totally understand the delay Christine after noting your health issues post only long after I posted. I did take your advice and rang Adam. He was so helpful. Yes mine has a walking foot and doesn’t perform as kindly as yours on fine fabrics, but he also suggested a smaller needle size. I was a little hesitant to ring him for such a minor problem, but he was just so kind and helpful. Hope you feel better soon, I just love your videos.
What price would you place on the bag?
I don't have them in the shop Marion, but would put $10 au on it😀
